Harleys are underpowered, overpriced noise machines. Buy a real motorcycle, not a motorcycle made by an apparel shop that happens to sell overpriced noise machines with half the power of a similarly priced bike.
Nice video, now make a bike I actually want to ride and bring all those jobs back to America. No more outsourcing and stop with only making cruisers. The Bronx will be a good first step.
Maybe if they would do ANY service on older bikes instead of telling potential consumers to go pack sand...

@adsfafad I've got no problem with building and employing where you sell. That's fine by me and is good business. As long as the outsourcing for USA bikes is kept to a minimum I'm fine.
We still need some non cruiser bikes and some cheaper options for non wealthy people however. Not many they don't need to change their image much but I'd rather buy American myself.
Harley-Davidson literally just made a video about all the work you have to do just to keep one running it is the adult version of a cheap Chinese scooter.

I’m 37 work my ass off. And I have a nice custom Harley Davidson. On bike number 4. Maybe get up off you’re ass and get some motivation and make some money or go to where the money is and get it. Just keep you’re nose to the grind. By the way I started with nothing work my way from the bottom up the way it needs to be. Ps. Paid cash for my bikes new one I got 55,000.00 into it. What you got besides some avocado toast.
Anyone else notice a subliminal message against the Harley LiveWire in their commercials? The first big advertisement was three guys riding the LiveWire breaking into a window to charge and then when out in the desert they had to walk back. This one features a guy pushing the LiveWire into the back of a truck. Hmmmm 🤔

The guy wasn't pushing that bike in the truck. He was giving some throttle to get it in the truck. If you look carefully he's not even pushing it.

If Harley Davidson really wanted to make a comeback they should target the younger demographic and encourage young people to buy used Harley Davison’s because we all know a young kid doesn’t have the kind of money for a new Harley
On a used bike they don't make a whole lot of money The dealership makes most of the money

2 days out of the Army, 1989. Got my first HD. An 883 sporty. 6 bikes later I love my 2017 Limited I run as a lux street glide (no tour pak 99% of the time) got 30k miles on that bike already...but that's nothing. I had 155k on a road king, 60k on a softail... riding is my peace. I'm not right if I go too long without hearing my Harleys rumble beneath me and feel the breeze. Thank you MoCo... for every wonderful mile I've ridden on Harleys in all these decades.

If you want a nice bike, but don’t want a “Harley” just get a sportster, it’s like a middle finger to every “Harley” rider. You’ll have a harley but you won’t be accepted by most harley riders, it’s honestly a great feeling cause you get to develop your own identity instead of buying an identity for $25k.

Hello from the United Kingdom. I had an accident this morning while riding my Harley. A truck saw me coming, but didn't give me way. I laid the bike down on its side hoping to prevent the worst. I didn't crash into him, he didn't stop. I'm bruised, but I'm alive. And when I save up for a new bike, it's going to be Harley Davidson.

Hey Mark. I grew up in Harleyland and knew some of the Harley family. My son is now a proud Harley owner (even though I told him at 4-years-old he could never have a motorcycle for all of the usual Mom reasons). So, I just want to ask, because I am ignorant and still a sentimental girl from Wisconsin, what has happened to the Harley company and brand? Is HD really dying?

Long live the one thing we can count on . Things come and go . People come and go . Through my whole life I find a comfort and connection to the past and future every day when I walk past my 15 YR old bike. I can't tell anyone how many times my old 05 1200c has saved my sanity and united me with people at the gas pump.
In a Harley ad did they really show a Harley rider not being able to get his Harley to start?

I agree that whoever edited the video was a dumbass for that bc there are ppl (such as yourself) that have this stigma that they are unreliable which is simply not true with modern Harleys.
Maybe the owner took it to the dealership for service and they told him they don't/won't touch bikes older than 10 years. That's FUBAR, HARLEY. All about big ticket purchases and overpriced modular components and high service hours.
Joe Troutt bro, if you’re trying to convince me Harleys are reliable you’re not going to. They’re cool, being from Milwaukee I’d like to own one. But compared to the competition they are not reliable. Compare your sportster to a 2003 Shadow and your bike won’t compare from a reliability standpoint.
Not seeing much chrome, been riding HARLEY DAVIDSON continually for 49yrs, remember when only the horn,mirror , exhaust, handel bars were chromed on Harley's and bikers spent fortune's chroming their bikes. Today all black bikes are UGLY, UGLY, UGLY!!! BTW got a 2010 ULTRA LTD pushing 100,000 miles on it .
There's still plenty of chromed options. But tastes have changed. I prefer a largely blacked out bike with chrome in the right places to draw the eye.

Harley-Davidson has failed to bring out a bike that stirs the same nostalgia of their models of the past. Give us a springer, a dedicated performance model based on the XR750, and a twin shock frame to accommodate the M8.

I installed a new set of points in my 4speed five years ago. I had some old blue streak from the 70-80s. Last time I fired it up it took four push throughs.
Got to like them old four speeds , foot clutch bikes.

No one's going to be taking any road trips on a Livewire get real there's no words to charge it unless you're hopping around some large cities and that's no road trip

The live wire has a display screen that shows everywhere in the United States that you can charge it. It has adapters too.
Correction: it doesn't have a display screen to tell you where charging stations are but you can Bluetooth your phone's nav to it and pull up the locations that way.

Make a reliable bike that people want to buy and you’ll still be here for a few more years. Know your market, and be innovative and most of all reliable.

@OzarkoBlam Harley gave Jason and some other ppl a free Harley as a promotional deal and Jason didn't like the color (red I believe) and proceeded to take a can of black spray paint and painted the bike on the spot. Idk if it was meant to be a stunt but it was in poor taste if you ask me. He really seemed to be the least appreciative of all the ppl who received one. It was supposed to be a surprise.

@@CSchaef02 the Indian dealership near me in Florida, isn't really selling. Luckily, they're a combined power sports dealership. Scouts aren't doing too bad though. There are pockets all over the country where Harley is doing well. Indian is in the same boat. Some areas good some bad. The motorcycle industry has been down for several years. Or so the "experts" say.

@@tksoutlaw7448 I rode crotch rockets and cruisers for 20 years and never had the issue of constantly revving the motor while coasting or in traffic to stay comfortable. This is even with aftermarket exhaust.

Great video - has anyone else seen FortNine 'death of Harley' video. I like Harley, has some challenges ahead though - basically in terms of what the brand means to people under ~50. I am in the UK and would love to own a Harley for the character and personalisation of it, I just can't warrant it when even the dealer says you can't really use it all year round like you can other bikes. If the world was all hot, dry, long straight roads I think Harley would dominate. Maybe with global warming it will help Harley lol

@@PanM8 In the UK at least even my local dealership advised you can't ride a Harley during the wet and grime of winter - it would rust/void the warranty and would need to clean it daily! Most other manufactures bikes can handle day to day grime better - I don't think I would be alone in that view. Also, not sure what you mean by 'what global warming?'. Is that a joke?
@@jpg6482 yes, global warming IS a joke. They tried to scare us with that when I was in school in the 80's. We were told that the sea levels would rise and inundate the coastal areas of the U.S., by 2000. Well 20 years later...we are all just fine. When I was in elementary school, (70's) we were told of an impending ice age coming. Which is it? And I ride a Harley year round in one of the harshest environments, Florida. Salt air rain almost everyday in the summer. I wash my bike once a week, as do my truck and car. After several years there will be some rust. But that doesn't stop me from riding the bike. It's just cosmetic.

When I ride my Indian bobber I feel like I’m riding a unicorn since they’re very rare on the road but when I ride my bro’s Harley I feel I’m driving a piece of American history.
I think it's because Indian doesn't have as many dealerships as Harley Davidson yet. I think once there are more Indian dealerships you'll see more. I'm lucky I have both in the same shopping center where I am.

My first Harley is a 2012 Ultra Classic. After owning a Yamaha, and a Honda Goldwing, I can honestly say that there is NOTHING like riding a Harley Davidson, and I am completely, and utterly addicted! HD is true Moto-Therapy!

Get one once you’re old enough, there are a lot of good cheap options out there and riding a motorcycle can be safe if you just are responsible and drive defensively. One of the best decisions of made in my life was to get a motorcycle, would 10/10 recommend

Would love to go but unfortunately my ride is in pieces currently. I had a bad fuel tank which trashed my carb and now after rebuilding it I personally don’t know how to tune it. But fear not it will live again. I agree the TX heat is a bear.

I am ready to buy a new bike that being a Harley but the way Million Dollar Bogan has been treated I am now having serious second thoughts. FFS why didn't you just ask Danny to fade out or beep out or the offending words the who shit show could have been avoided.
Also I heard through the grape vine the Street 500 is being no longer sold... My son was saying the a lot of hos friends who want Harleys can only ride the Street 500 as they are the OPNLKY bike that Harley makes that is LAMS approved. Here we cant ride anything bigger than a 650 on out L or P plates.

What HD is doing to Million Dollar Bogan is shameful, here is a Daniel Hayes using his own money to promote HD and then big corporate HD comes in tells him to shut down his Vlog because its not politically correct, I watched all his videos and they are made with adventure and humor in mind and to promote the Harley Davidson brand period. I read all over that HD is suffering and cant sell their motor bikes and it’s because there core riders have gotten old and moved on, to keep the greatest motor cycle company going it needs people to promote it and ride the bikes and go on adventures PEOPLE LIKE DANIEL!!!, If you don’t allow Daniel and other people to video in your dealerships this wont allow people to see into the great world of HD and see how you are not just buying a motor cycle you are buying into a family. So sad HD you owe Daniel an apology.
Lone Wolf Harley Davidson in Spokane WA. sucks I bought a iron 1200 in February and included with the sale was supposed to be first oil change and rider safety class. Lone wolf: when time came to get oil change and take the class they flat out refuse to live up to their obligation ( bait and switch tactics). I love my bike but I will say if you get a bike at this dealership get everything in writing and avoid deceptive sale tactics of these sales men. f__k you lone wolf but always buy a Harley at an honest dealership like Indian.

I took my streetrod 750 to West Virginia and back from Florida multiple times I had to take detours and I was ok the places I ended up going was gorgeous and I’ll never stop riding it’s a whole new level of life

Nice video but as far as harley they are heading the wrong direction. I don't know what the big deal is about harley other than the sound everything else is poor quality and expensive to maintain. Now if your looking for a good mechanic friend then buy a harley.
