That was my first video I saw of his. For some reason it was recommended to me along with my usuals such as videogames and food cooking videos. The thumbnail looked interesting and I've now been watching for two weeks.
Really nice job. The LED light really sets it off. Reminds me of my father & how many of these turning he had made in his short time on this earth. You, like my dad, were both visionaries. You saw beauty where everyone else saw just another old piece of scrap wood. Keep up the good work.👍
I just found your channel, your videos are so relaxing and almost hypnotizing and the things that you create always an art piece, you are like a god of wood keep going!
Thanks Matt Jordan I showed my kids one of your videos and now their walking around the house look for wood for a “project “ I don’t know how I feel about that 😂
Extremely well done, the bell shape and the stand look super together, the flickering bulb gives it the flame appearance. Keep up the work and I'll be here to sing your praises.
@L.P.M When watching one of his other videos I was like: How on earth do you dare to feel the wood while spinning, with your bare hands? Do you have a death wish?? I pictured my self a couple of (hundred) splinters and some blood being shed.
@@jacksonbb8680 Oh, that's true, but even then I would be really careful, cause you never know. His hand might get caught, there might be a small hole there, and to be honest, touching it while it's still spinning is a bad idea.
@@luckycharm5251 I can not deny what you say, it's always dangerous. But do take into consideration, he has been doing these for awhile, he should know when not to
Love your work. You are so talented. I can sit for hours watching you create. I have watched a lot of wood turning on UA-cam and to me you are by far the best.
@@MattJordanWoodturning I think it might be along the lines of I have never watched a wood turning related video but your video showed up in my recommended and I am happy it did!
I am very impressed with this turning Matt. The colour and grain texture of this Eucalyptus is brilliant. I love the shape of the two piece turning & I thought the copper inlay was a brilliant touch. The electrical work is excellent with the 'flame' lamp fitting in SO well. Love it. Stay safe & well, Don from South Aust.
Tony Owens I mean it doesn't look extraordinarily hard. You just need to know what equipment to use and what techniques are best for what you want to create, and I'm sure you need to practice getting a steady hand. I'm sure you could teach yourself through some trial and error, but it might take awhile
I've learned so much about woodturning just from your videos. Definitely not to the point that I could create anything you've done myself, but a foundational knowledge for sure.
That is the prettiest piece of wood truing I have ever seen. Several times I thought you were done, and you'd do something else and I would say...... no stop you'll mess it up. But you didn't and it you'd better and better each time. Beautiful !!
Love your videos. Wood is so beautiful and to see you shape it, all the skill everything that goes into it and the whole process is really cool. Love seeing how you use different techniques for filling in gaps or cracks in the wood. Keep it up look forward to checking out more of your work
You can make an electricity effect with a microwave transformer, but watch your hands and wear high voltage gloves, 3000V ones are enough, and you can use salt water on the wood, "experimentboy" made a video on this, it's in french but you can understand it, it is called "graver la foudre sur du bois", just an idea flying with many others, 😉

Okay but sometimes I do that to content creators that I don’t like or that are bad people or where the video is stolen from someone else. Not saying that any of those apply here.
I make it a point to "like" every single video I watch, for 2 reasons. 1. To let myself known I've watched it (I've watched 1000s). 2. To support the channel 3. I genuinely like the video. There may be others who do the same, but "dislike" every video. Doesnt make sense to me, but hey.
How do you do these so perfectly? The timing and precision it takes yet you make it seem so effortless. If I was doing this it would come out so sloppy looking.. and I’ve taken a carpeting class before
