If you're interested in nursing yet have doubts about your ability to interact so intimately with patients/families, then consider this career. It is satisfying although stressful and demanding. I did it for over 40 yrs. and always had employment quickly. I would suggest a concurrent minor in the social sciences (psychology, sociology) or the liberal arts (English, Latin, etc.) to make you well-rounded and get an edge on a job search. Hospitals snatch up techs quickly.
