What I loved in the original was the rough talking. And that you can completely avoid using magic. I don't know what I think about the climbing mechanism. Other than that, I totally look forward to this game. Looks really awesome.

Yep, it looks very promisable. Old Gothic with everything we love but in a new coat plus some things like few new characters and side effects added. Me personally I would appreciate if there were some interations in Old camp's dungeon like with imprisoned royal soldiers who survived the revolution of miners. Or something more with solitude camp of bandits in the mountains. Or possibility to become Guru in Swamp camp before things go wrong 🥺
And if they were able to get In Extremo on board to license Herr Mannelig once again for a concert scene in the game, that would make it even better. I doubt it, but it would be cool.
I didn't expect this to feel so much like Gothic, but it does. The vibe, the view, the sounds, you guys are nailing it. Keep up the good work, stay on this road, and I'm sure all the old-time fans will reward your effort.

@@Anty_Praza not every studio is able to produce on hollywood looks levels, there is a pipeline you need to keep that level of detail etc. Also a gothic remake would miss its mark by only being playable on 4080 cards.

It looks like Gothic, but the graphics look great. Looks so much better than the trial version already and catches the good old Gothic vibe. I hope the developers keep it going and also make the gameplay feel great.
It's modern, but oh so familiar It really seems that they've done a tremendous job at being faithful in both story and gameplay, while smoothing over some elements that time hasn't been kind to. can't wait to play this

I'm excited about what I see and wish them enough success to make it into a trilogy or even more. They have my support and my money. The only disadvantage is that the game probably won't be as humorous in German, as the speakers were really good and some of them have unfortunately passed away.
I'm so glad the devs didn't give up despite the critique on first reveal. the combat system looks like the old school which is what i really wanted. i can't wait the beta release
I do hope they flesh out the storylines though. I love the original, but i've payed the game countless times and know each quest by heart. Sticking with the source is important, but I'd love to also see something new.
Now that it looks, sounds and feels more like original Gothic,it gained so much more quality and identity. I was a bit dissapointed with the demo and first few trailers but now they efectively changed my mind. Great job devs, keep it up.
I hope that some of the old quests will get continuation so that they don't end just like that with no sense. Like the meeting of Diego and others that we informed. I also hope that polish dub will be as good as the original one

While there are still quite a few things to change and improve to get this closer to the original, like some enemy and character designs, this looks miles better than the first teaser. Idk about others, but i get the feeling that their statement of being gothic 1 fans is not true, in the sense that with the first teaser they clearly showed they have no clue what made gothic 1 great. Either that or the devs actually do know, but people from above, the publisher, is holding them back as is often the case. In any case, while this is an improvement, by certain design decisions showcased here, the teaser still gives off a certain lack of understanding, that a long standing fan would have. I feel it would be a great decision on their part to invite someone from the og devs to help with the vision, or to invite some fans as consultants. I'm sure fans would be more than happy to help out with advice, some of them are probably developers as well.
There are two OG developers included in the development of the remake, additionally the lead quest designer from the Skyrim Enderal Mod is included and one person that was involved in the archolos mod. With the utmost respect please inform yourself before you write such nonesene, you have clearly no idea how the game is made but you still write such unfounded statements. The team is in close contact to the community and are working hard to make it right. Critique is meaningful and right but be constructive and inform yourself beforehand otherwise you are just making a fool out of yourself.
Es kommt alles auf die deutsche Synchronisation an. Falls die einigermaßen vernünftig wird, dann wird das Spiel OK. Ohne Christian wewerka oder Bodo Henkel kann man direkt das Remake in die Tonne treten ohne zu zögern

Bestimmt wird da viel mit Voice Conversion reingemoddet, wenn man nicht mehr alle alten Sprecher bekommt. Viele sind jetzt aber auch schon sehr alt oder verstorben oder im Synchronberuf gar nicht mehr tätig. Dafür kann das Entwicklerstudio dann ja auch nichts ;)

I never played the original Gothic, but this looks amazing. A proper old-school RPG. I’m in! I used to be against remakes, however, it seems like remakes are better than most new stuff these days. Not all new stuff, but most of it.
Medium, not much actual gameplay more snippets. The voice over was very AI sounding which might be a nitpick. However, they made all the right noises about respecting the original, so hopefully on the right track. The only thing I can say for sure at this stage is the swimming is better.

It looks very promising. However, I wish that the developers would consider that it is a dark fantasy game. The palette should be toned down, less sun/light. Original game has that hopeless, ordinary and tough atmosphere which i think was the main reason why many of us fell in love with this title. And music. Sound effects. Please, don't change that. It's top tier
This is a much darker, blander colors than the original. I do not believe dark fantasy can't look warm and sunny at times. Gothic 1 original is at times a very sunny, colorful and green place, no need to make the colors grey.

Looks amazing, but shiny graphics are one of many things which made a great game. The OG Gothic is my childhood. I am a bit sceptical, but I can wait to try it.
You better make sure I can't defeat stone golem with anything but blunt weapons. Or Ice golem with anything but fire. And you better make sure that I learn these secrets either from npcs or by reading in game books like it was in the original.

I never played the original Gothic, but this looks amazing. A proper old-school RPG. I’m in! I used to be against remakes, however, it seems like remakes are better than most new stuff these days. Not all new stuff, but most of it.
Medium, not much actual gameplay more snippets. The voice over was very AI sounding which might be a nitpick. However, they made all the right noises about respecting the original, so hopefully on the right track.
The only thing I can say for sure at this stage is the swimming is better.
They will be at Gamescom so there will be more uncut gameplay.

Gothic 1 and then 2 and 3 are my most favorite games. Can't wait for this.
It looks very promising. However, I wish that the developers would consider that it is a dark fantasy game. The palette should be toned down, less sun/light. Original game has that hopeless, ordinary and tough atmosphere which i think was the main reason why many of us fell in love with this title. And music. Sound effects. Please, don't change that. It's top tier

This is a much darker, blander colors than the original. I do not believe dark fantasy can't look warm and sunny at times.
Gothic 1 original is at times a very sunny, colorful and green place, no need to make the colors grey.
I wouldn't call it dark fantasy, at least not what's usually called dark fantasy. It's a very special atmosphere.

And I do not know where nor when You have encoutered ,,happy'', shiny, greeny places in this game. So, yes, I think it should be ,,downgraded'' for the purpose of the orginality, not for those who will willingly ,,take a shot for something new'', but for the fans, who are known to be kind for whatever it means to be. New players - are welcomed. But just deal what we've had to deal with. That's all
I hope in a future they gonna implement expansions that was made by fans. We have so many good stories there

Looks amazing, but shiny graphics are one of many things which made a great game. The OG Gothic is my childhood. I am a bit sceptical, but I can wait to try it.

You better make sure I can't defeat stone golem with anything but blunt weapons. Or Ice golem with anything but fire. And you better make sure that I learn these secrets either from npcs or by reading in game books like it was in the original.
