Thanks for showing this. I was at doctors at Ingham two weeks ago. A perfectly sunny day. I knew i was lucky with good weather for the long drive south, from near Tully. Now look at this water!! And sadly a young lady in Ingham has lost her life in this flood. Good luck for fast recovery to all at Ingham, and Cardwell, and Townsville too.
Thanks for clip, my mate and daughter down just past coles stuck upstairs in their house for few days now, said has plenty food and beers so if doesn't rise more should be ok, I'm just nth of Cardwell and lucky on a hill but no power and road flooded so cant go anywhere. Apparently IGA in town opened yesty but cash only! So those who think we don't need cash have never been in a disaster was same in Yasi etc. Plastic dont work when you cant use it. Stay safe everyone 🦈
My parents owned Roma Cafe back in the mid sixties, Majestic Cafe now occupies that site. Has that part of Lanacost St affected by the flood? We were spared from the floods of '64 and '66. In Melbourne now. Thanks for the vid.
WOW "Deja Vu" I lived through the 67 flood and actually in Mcilwraith St where you were. This one looks a lot worse. Prayers to my relos friends and all who are impacted.
Ooh my god what is going on with the weather floods in Queensland, storms&heatwaves in Melbourne, what a horrible start to 2025,please everyone in both states stay safe
I wondered about so many houses built on stilts and thought they have had floods before. Now you confirm it was a “flood plain” but the alarmists will call it “Climate change”. Even in the outer Melbourne suburbs I saw paddocks with so much water in them and thought “poor horses”. Now it is a housing estate.
@@gayedawn1 the houses built on stumps or stilts are for 2 reasons, mostly cooling as the raised house allows airflow underneath a must in the tropics. and as you would expect to raise it above any water incursion, the far north around Ingham receives in excess of 1 meter of rainfall in a year, mostly in the wet season that spans from mid to late November until now March. flooding is a normal event for that part of the country but not on this scale.
I was formerly living at BAMBAROO and seen this all before but not like this mayor flood , i wish all well as right now i am in Namibia please redirect all this WATER to here we need all of it asap greeting to all of you ... seen all this water flowing along main road Ingham makes me sad as a bit homesick TOO ,,, JOSCHI SEIDL
I have been documenting activity above my home, in pictures, because I don’t know what else to do about it. Quite often brings lightning/thunder clouds, but no rain. This is dangerous where I live because it’s heavy bush land even around the towns. Lightning has several times in the past started difficult to control bushfires. It’s been ramping up to approximately 3 days per week for months now.
This happened when I was a kid livin in Townsville, way back when:) It’s funny how younger generations are often surprised by things us old c$#ts remember so vividly.
Hmm. Did they overdo it with the cloud seeding and make it rain more than usual this wet season. Geo engineering? I know the area well. I'm from up there. It can get wet and flood the area, but not like these floods. Something fishy about all of that water flooding everything in its way.
Love to all battling this.I hope you get lots of help. From Sydney.❤
Thank you for the video guy’s. My family is sending their heartfelt condolences, wishing you all the best.
I hope everyone is safe. When the water receeds let me know if anyone needs help repairing their house. I will come up and help
I lived through a similar flood in 2022 here in Murwillumbah NSW. I feel your pain
I live in Ingham, it's so sad😢 Keeping all in my thoughts. Stay safe, please ❤

Medical services are hit and miss in Australia.
It's a lot of work to get anything done.

I lived there through a flood like this sixty years ago. I left and didn't go back but for very brief visits

The '67 flood was worse up on the headwaters of the Herbert, but this time there has been much more rain down the coastal end and for longer.
I’m so very sorry
Thinking of everyone who has been impacted by the floods. Please stay safe.

Sorry to see this, stay strong
So glad you guys are okay. Take it one day at a time and God bless you.
thanks for this does anyone know if it is the bridge up near paluma that is damaged?
How do you recover from something like this Sad my thoughts are with you all !!!!!!!
Devastating 🙏🇦🇺
Brother lives and works in Ingham.
To follow on Google maps this is mostly going east on Macilwraith Street from Perkins Street then left onto Tully Street and on.
Prayers going out for the safety of everyone affected by these floods.
silly they chose to build a town on a flood plain many years ago, but this year the weather and rain is far from normal.

@@gayedawn1 What would make you believe that the "climate alarmists" might be right after all?
JCU prof of hydrology on abc far north said it’s happened many times before and evidence is in the geological record
@@janeway1111 what they fail to mention is the entire wet seasons worth of rain in a week. weather records are manipulated sorry professor.

Were many houses built on stilts because in the last 100 years or so they had other floods?
Just bloody awful to see...🇿🇦
Devastating to see

Global warming, heating the oceans, high condensation, heavy rain. And you voted for it. Thanks a lot.
If you believe chemtrails did this, I urge you to not vote. Please, I'm begging you.

Lets live on a well known flood plain - what could go wrong.

This looks as normal as a climate change activist in 2008
Hectic :(

Could it possibly have anything to do with climate change???
