The Real Reason Joe Bastianich Left MasterChef

- If you have been a fan of Fox’s MasterChef since its inception, you will be familiar with Joe Bastianich. He was a judge on the popular reality cooking show for its first five seasons and helped make the show a success.
However, we all know now that the celebrity chef is no longer part of the show. Besides being a television personality, Bastianich is also a renowned restauranteur who owns restaurants in four countries.
Being a global restauranteur doesn’t give you much time for TV, but is that the reason why Joe Bastianich left MasterChef? A 2014 Facebook post gives the answer to that question.

Compared to GR, Joe literally shames his contestants over and over again ending with throwing their dishes in the bin, unlike GR where he would quietly spit on your face and simply walk away but youd still learn from him either way.
not even that, ramsey will constructively critique your dish, and will tell you what you did wrong, and will tell you what you should do better, albeit a bit harsh.
@@dineshjanapati6511 yeah thats true although there are times when he would be so fed up with you that he won't bother with leaving you any advise whatsoever, so it will depend on the situation.
So throwing food in the trash, you don't learn much but by spitting food you do? What??
@@BubbleNugget0 If someone throw you food in the trash how can you know what you did wrong? Because he does that but never tell you what you did wrong, without the food you can try to figure it out.

Joe really had no business as a judge on the show. He was sarcastic, condescending, and was very difficult to watch him judge. Put simply, I was always embarrassed when he judged, because he was totally unprofessional . It felt like he was more interested in bringing the contestants down, than supporting them. He needs to accept the fact that he will never be on the same level as his mother, lydia,. I remember seeing him as a young guy on Lydia's show, and he was really nice. So...What happened to him? really sad. I hope one day he will be able to cook in a humble manner, instead of arrogantly trying to prove himself.

I find Joe Bastianich unqualified to be a judge on those shows. Growing up in your mother's restaurant and getting rich off the family fortune (which they earned, not him) doesn't make you a chef much less a chef on the same level as Gordon Ramsay. He always seemed like an over arrogant fraud to me. The only authentic Italian thing about him was this sick joy he seemed to get from personally destroying contestants in front of everybody when they made mistakes.
He thinks he is better than everyone else! He is so arrogant!!

The fact that Joe is not even a chef, means he had no business judging others. He was a miserable bastard that made people not want to watch and I’m glad he is gone.
Gordon knows how to actually criticize for real while Joe only knows how to insult you.
Exactly 💯
Bastianich in Masterchef Italia changed his attitude as the seasons went by. In the first two seasons he behaved pretty much like in the US version, being the most feared judge, while in later years he became much more relaxed, probably just giving up on the character he build for himself.
In the US one as well. He is more laid back
I am sorry. Yeah all right.. showbusiness was so hard on him, acting like an asshole. They even forced him to partner and enable Mario Batali. Did you know that? Joe was so innocent. Poor guy.
I think the original 3 judges worked well to contrast each other. Sucks to see him go tbh. He was funny.
Everyone criticizing Joe for not being a chef...well his reason for being their was the other side of being a chef. Joe was a restaurateur. Where all the chefs could teach you cooking, Joe could teach you the aestetics (all the chefs could) but that was Joe's specialty. Just like when Christina came in. She was the baker. All the chefs could bake but no one could tell you as much as Christina could. Everyone was there for a reason
Bro what? Joe doesn't cook in his restaurant so how would he know about aestetics? He doesn't even come up with his menu his mother does and his head chef does. Unless you mean his choice of chairs then how does that have anything to do with cooking?
Well, Joe taught them about the aestetics of his partner Mario Batali. That definitely was his speciality xD But.. I am talking trash. I guess... we can talk all we want. Reality will show... people like Joe aren't just the material like Gordon Ramsay. They will be there for a laugh.. and then disappear.
Joe is nothing more than an arrogant tool born with a silver spoon up his cornhole. He didn't build what he has himself, which likely contributed to the development of his arrogant demeanor.
I like Joe, he may not be a chef, but he understands the business aspect of a restaurant. Every kitchen is the heart of any business, and should be run like one. I don't think he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but he sometimes behaves like he was. That's the drama he fetches to the show.
Ramsay is the nicest person on earth if compared to Joe
When a person is focused more on themselves as apposed to what they do.
Just scroll down culinary you tuber's. It's become an absolute joke.😂
