This the best arrangement and performance I have heard on UA-cam. Clear, vocal and uncluttered, just one guitar accompaniment you get the real feel of the song which is so important. Has a 'live' feel. Nice harmonies too. Well done girls and guitarist. God bless and thank you.

Very Very nice. I discount the criticism of others about the breathy voices as I thought it added a haunting sound to this song that most other artists miss.
“Haunting” is very accurate. Almost ghostly...
I think this is my favorite version of this song. It's notoriously hard to sing, and these women did it to perfection. I love the raspy mix with clear notes; gives this almost a spectral quality. Thanks for uploading. Its hauntingly beautiful!

Same here. I LOVE Ellie Holcomb, but her voice is so unique.. it doesn't blend well with others, and that's OK. They were all just trying wayyyy too hard. Meh. Didn't like.
***** I felt the same. They were forcing it. I saw it and (without hearing it)threw it in the pre service rotation this morning playing in the sanctuary and when I heard it I faded it out after the chorus and removed it from the rotation.
Dan Johnson i completely agree with you! each of these girls has such unique voices but none of them worked well together. I feel like they were trying way to hard to be like a lullaby that it just sounded raspy and tbh not very nice. but in saying that its a lovely arrangement of the song i just would've been nice to actually hear the harmonies in the more powerful sections rather than whispering through them.

+John Yang Maybe, but when this song is sang, at the "fall on your knees" part, it should be pushed to limit. They sound like they are whispering the song, perhaps technique, I`m not sure . But Id love to hear them really open up on this song, I think wed be stunned, but that's just opinion ....

This is the problem with most singers now days....Trying to sound like everyone else and sounding breathy....I'm sorry but I really hate this breathy sound...Sound like they have lazy voices...
I agree.....People don't realize, to be an amazing singer, you have to have been born a natural singer...then you go from there and learn more and more......Not tooting my own horn, but I have sang since I was about 2 years old....As I grew in age, my voice matured and according to some became the most beautiful voice they had ever heard (not saying I even believe this) Just like beauty, a voice is in the eye or ear, of the beholder......but I do believe God gave me a natural born talent an d through the years I have perfected my voice...I do not sound like anyone else...I have my own God given voice.. and with much singing it get's stronger and stronger....These young ladies have voices, but since they are trying to sound like someone else, I have no idea of what they really sound like...
I absolutely abhor breathiness while singing...If I was a singing teacher, I would say ...No, No, No....while tapping my baton...haha

That just proves my point above...Young people have been so dumbed down by voices today, that they cannot tell a good voice from a crappy one..

They all sound incredible on their own but together they all have to sing the notes correctly. Blue notes sound great when someone sings them alone but not together. That ruined it, sorry.

Terrible microphone placement! Horrible sound on the vocals - sounds really tinny and bad. I don't know if youtube has compressed the hell out of the audio, but for a studio session I would expect a lot better - not doing these wonderful girls voices justice!
