I was homeless for a year. My own family turned on me...I wasn't on drugs or anything like that...It was just a rough time for me then...A very dear friend told me about Gentry and their beautiful positive songs, And that's what brought me here...After seeing this video, I cried for an hour...I couldn't stop the tears...My heart was just overflowing with so much joy seeing this...I pray that one day NO ONE will ever have to be homeless in this world...It is hard on your body and on your soul...I've watched this video 15 times, & I cry every time i watch it...Beautiful & touches your ❤...God bless you Gentry, and God bless us all...In your holy name JESUS I pray, amen.

This is one of the most meaningful and beautiful music videos ever made. I too am homeless and forsaken by 3 brothers whom took everything after my parents departed. I do not morn the loss of material things or money. I think every day of my friends and parents whom have all ascended into heaven. Now my Lord talks to and comforts me daily, as I perform his wishes speaking to others about his love and guidance thru all.

@@paulmcreynolds7162 ya, I was an only child and when both of my parents passed not a signal cousin was heard from. Who were my age. Ones I spend endless summers with as a kid. Not a peep. Either death. It felt the same as when I was kid rejected from a slumber party that I wasn't invited to.
And ya know there's always that distant cousin who shows up like Johnny on the spot. The one who dad hasn't heard from in 15 yrs. Looking for that piece of the pie.
She came for it but Dad had a no contest clause in his will...because of her.

My first time watching this video and I'm in tears. I've been there, homeless and scared. I strayed so far from God and let alcohol and drugs control and ruin my life! You feel so alone and hopeless. I would walk by people's homes at night and long for that safety and warmth.
Thank the Lord I turned my life around and have been clean and sober for many many years. I couldn't of done it without the Lord.

He appeared to me as an old woman one night begging on the street....I gave her $1 ....that night another stranger handed me $2 he found on the floor thinking they were mine....I was going through a tough time in my life then...the $ 2 didn't make me rich but it reminded me that God's blessing are there if I would just look ....

I totally agree with all the great comments shared. I cry every time I watch this.
It just so happens that this fellow who plays the part of the ‘Christlike’ homeless man in this music video is a friend of my family and has portrayed Jesus Christ in Easter Pageants in years past and also in a wonderful pictorial production called “Reflections of Christ” and in a beautiful music video called, “Come See The Light” sung by my nephew Freddie Ashby.
First time I pay attention to the lyrics of the song I was stirred up, I can't help myself in tears, just don't why. I'm Muslim, no idea about Christianity but this video impacted me so much.

In 2022 I find myself in circumstances where I cannot throw hundreds of dollars into Christmas.... so having been said with the help of Almighty God, His precious Son and the Holy Spirit I will look for ways to bless those less fortunate than me. I will be counting my blessings. I will make every gift that I can bestow upon my dear ones meaningful and memorable...all the while embracing the true REASON FOR THE SEASON! Being a single mother myself with a girl & boy … When I saw the single Mom and her two it pierced my heart in a way I can’t explain. And Jesus cared so much… He saw and He knew when no one did. Started with around 6 funerals at the beginning and ended with the loss of a beloved family member who would have celebrated her birthday on dec. 24. but somehow I know that nothing happens without a reason and that there is a plan for each and everyone of us down here. And I truly believe, that Jesus is wondering around and that he and his angels embrace us all once in a while. Sometimes it’s just a smile we get on a rough day, but it shows us, that there is always hope. The kind of hope, that we celebrate each and every year in December. So please feel embraced and love your neighbor like you love yourself and I’m sure you will meet the great I am one special day. 😉

From the age of 18 to 22 (I am now 51), I was homeless in Los Angeles. I first heard O Holy Night at The Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. I made my way to Hollywood and the next 4 years I was assulted, robbed, and abused. In the 3rd year of my homelessness I discovered a program that would help get your GED. After that I gained employment and was able to get off the streets. Thank you for this touching video and how far I have come. I regard this song as the true meaning of Christmas and am particular of renditions of it. You all captured this song Masterfully . This song literally saved my life.

Something or Someone told me hold out for 2 days and I was taken off the streets by a wealthy couple retired from the motion picture industry . They told me to get my GED and get a job. This couple changed my life.

Yes, there are still good people out there, but as you stated you've done work to try and help yourself too. And, about suicide David, remember it's the "one" sin you can not ask forgiveness for because once you're dead, you're dead, and you can not ask for it. I’m not religious in any way.. BUT.. I have the closest relationship with Jesus. All he required was that we ask Him to forgive us of our sins and to take Him as our lord( Father..)
I was brought up in a religion and not too long ago discover( listening to Joyce Meyers) it’s not about religion.
Just trust Him. He will absolutely change your life if you can ask Him into your life and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.
And remember.. we all sin.. everyday! It’s human nature ( thanks to satan) but God has power .. complete power over satan so when you do pray , which doesn’t have to be a long prayer always.. just rennet.. it’s a conversation with someone who made you.. knows you and has unconditional love for you.

I've listened to this over and over. Truly blessed my soul. I was told 3 years ago that I would die of lung disease by 2 drs. Last month my Dr told me I am a miracle. To God be the glory. May I always be faithful in his will.

He speaks with gestures... with a smile on his lips and in his eyes with an unimaginable tenderness that makes you think you are going to faint. It is something sublime. Just like in this video. I saw a homeless young man about 22 yrs.old.I asked him to come over to me.He was happy to.I asked him how ya doing?He said fine.He said he was trying to get Christmas presents for his family but he was like Gilbert Grape you know the movie?To look at him you wouldn't notice but once he spoke he breaks your heart.Cars drove by without helping him.He had a sign that read help for Christmas presents.He said ,"I've been out here all day and got nothing."So I gave him 20.00.He looked at it and I've never seen a more happy young man.I pray him and his family have the best Christmas ever!!

Showed me that Jesus could be anywhere looking anyway he wants. The guy playing Jesus in this video was a handsome man but Jesus would be more handsome. Jesus is the Lord. There is nothing more important to any person than knowing Jesus. This video is very good, I would like to think Jesus looks like the guy in the video but I’m sure Jesus is more than we can imagine. Anyway I like the video and the singing was exceptional.

I cried through the song. I've never heard it sung so beautiful. I often wonder why some of us are so blessed . We have shelter, plenty of food, warm bed to lay in at night, health. I could just keep going with all our blessings. And than the ones that have nothing but to face every day asking questions to themself as peopl pass them by. Am I going to eat, how cold will it be, can I take the cold temperatures tonight, or the heat of the day. Where can I get me water to drink. Where will I sleep, park bench, a box, on the street linged against a building. Or a dark ally. Why are there two different type of people. Those who have and those that don't. But yet our hearts beat the same. Those of us who are blessed. Take time to be Thankful not only over the Thanksgiving holiday. But all year round.
