I was homeless for a year. My own family turned on me...I wasn't on drugs or anything like that...It was just a rough time for me then...A very dear friend told me about Gentry and their beautiful positive songs, And that's what brought me here...After seeing this video, I cried for an hour...I couldn't stop the tears...My heart was just overflowing with so much joy seeing this...I pray that one day NO ONE will ever have to be homeless in this world...It is hard on your body and on your soul...I've watched this video 15 times, & I cry every time i watch it...Beautiful & touches your ❤...God bless you Gentry, and God bless us all...In your holy name JESUS I pray, amen.

This is one of the most meaningful and beautiful music videos ever made. I too am homeless and forsaken by 3 brothers whom took everything after my parents departed. I do not morn the loss of material things or money. I think every day of my friends and parents whom have all ascended into heaven. Now my Lord talks to and comforts me daily, as I perform his wishes speaking to others about his love and guidance thru all.

This video brings me to tears! 45 years ago, I was that young Mom raising two children alone! Christmas of 1978, no job, broken car, no money or presents, or Christmas 🎄 for my children! He appeared to me as an old woman one night begging on the street....I gave her $1 ....that night another stranger handed me $2 he found on the floor thinking they were mine....I was going through a tough time in my life then...the $ 2 didn't make me rich but it reminded me that God's blessing are there if I would just look ....

I had the amazing privilege, for several years in Salt Lake City, serving in the homeless branch of the LDS church. You truly learn to love those whom you serve. It made no difference what anyone wore, what they looked or smelled like. We just loved and served anyone who showed up. Some returned week after week, others came for just one Sunday. Many had mental illnesses, most were addicts in recovery, some were humble, some angry, some incredibly grateful for any small thing done for or given to them. What an honor to have the chance to be with "the least of these." My heart will never be the same. It was softened and molded and filled with unconditional love.
My first time watching this video and I'm in tears. I've been there, homeless and scared. I strayed so far from God and let alcohol and drugs control and ruin my life! You feel so alone and hopeless. I would walk by people's homes at night and long for that safety and warmth.
Thank the Lord I turned my life around and have been clean and sober for many many years. I couldn't of done it without the Lord.

From the age of 18 to 22 (I am now 51), I was homeless in Los Angeles. I first heard O Holy Night at The Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. I made my way to Hollywood and the next 4 years I was assulted, robbed, and abused. In the 3rd year of my homelessness I discovered a program that would help get your GED. After that I gained employment and was able to get off the streets. Thank you for this touching video and how far I have come. I regard this song as the true meaning of Christmas and am particular of renditions of it. You all captured this song Masterfully . This song literally saved my life.

Something or Someone told me hold out for 2 days and I was taken off the streets by a wealthy couple retired from the motion picture industry . They told me to get my GED and get a job. This couple changed my life.
@@david640 I am so glad for you. It really takes a lot of everything, especially help like you've received, to pick yourself up from the bottom. Yes, there are still good people out there, but as you stated you've done work to try and help yourself too. And, about suicide David, remember it's the "one" sin you can not ask forgiveness for because once you're dead, you're dead, and you can not ask for it. And remember, "God's will (no matter how bad), not your will" be done!!! Once again, stay strong in Christ my brother!

Yes it truly has been a tough one! Started with around 6 funerals at the beginning and ended with the loss of a beloved family member who would have celebrated her birthday on dec. 24. but somehow I know that nothing happens without a reason and that there is a plan for each and everyone of us down here. And I truly believe, that Jesus is wondering around and that he and his angels embrace us all once in a while. Sometimes it’s just a smile we get on a rough day, but it shows us, that there is always hope. The kind of hope, that we celebrate each and every year in December. So please feel embraced and love your neighbor like you love yourself and I’m sure you will meet the great I am one special day. 😉

I’m not religious in any way.. BUT.. I have the closest relationship with Jesus. All he required was that we ask Him to forgive us of our sins and to take Him as our lord( Father..)
I was brought up in a religion and not too long ago discover( listening to Joyce Meyers) it’s not about religion.
Just trust Him. He will absolutely change your life if you can ask Him into your life and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.
And remember.. we all sin.. everyday! It’s human nature ( thanks to satan) but God has power .. complete power over satan so when you do pray , which doesn’t have to be a long prayer always.. just rennet.. it’s a conversation with someone who made you.. knows you and has unconditional love for you.

Showed me that Jesus could be anywhere looking anyway he wants. The guy playing Jesus in this video was a handsome man but Jesus would be more handsome. Jesus is the Lord. There is nothing more important to any person than knowing Jesus. This video is very good, I would like to think Jesus looks like the guy in the video but I’m sure Jesus is more than we can imagine. I pray we all do. None of God's children should be without a proper place to call home, not even the ones who do not realise they are His Creation.
My family works on that problem daily. Government red tape delays shelter for many and it is frustrating.
@@USA_2021 I decided that instead of sending money I made the decision how mine was spent. Trying to open shelters.
@@paigewoodard217 how would you and your family help end homelessness? After becoming physically disabled, I was unable to work and I became homeless. I know what real hunger feels like and sleeping outside in all forms of weather. It was through daily prayer, wonderful volunteers and donations from dedicated Christian community members that I made it through an extremely tough time. JESUS never left my side for a moment and he never will.

Everyone needs to remember that scripture is not just referring to the positive things you do but also the negative. Judging, yelling at, think the worst of, all of these things we don't think twice about. We are doing them to Christ.
I've listened to this over and over. Truly blessed my soul. I was told 3 years ago that I would die of lung disease by 2 drs. Last month my Dr told me I am a miracle. To God be the glory. May I always be faithful in his will.

I saw a homeless young man about 22 yrs.old.I asked him to come over to me.He was happy to.I asked him how ya doing?He said fine.He said he was trying to get Christmas presents for his family but he was like Gilbert Grape you know the movie?To look at him you wouldn't notice but once he spoke he breaks your heart.Cars drove by without helping him.He had a sign that read help for Christmas presents.He said ,"I've been out here all day and got nothing."So I gave him 20.00.He looked at it and I've never seen a more happy young man.I pray him and his family have the best Christmas ever!!

Being a single mother myself with a girl & boy … When I saw the single Mom and her two it pierced my heart in a way I can’t explain. And Jesus cared so much… He saw and He knew when no one did. I cried through the song. I've never heard it sung so beautiful. I often wonder why some of us are so blessed . We have shelter, plenty of food, warm bed to lay in at night, health. I could just keep going with all our blessings. And than the ones that have nothing but to face every day asking questions to themself as peopl pass them by. Am I going to eat, how cold will it be, can I take the cold temperatures tonight, or the heat of the day. Where can I get me water to drink. Where will I sleep, park bench, a box, on the street linged against a building. Or a dark ally. Why are there two different type of people. Those who have and those that don't. But yet our hearts beat the same. Those of us who are blessed. Take time to be Thankful not only over the Thanksgiving holiday. But all year round.

Please don't neglect to give to others less fortunate than you. Shelters, safe havens for abused women, children men. There are people out there to be blessed by your generosity, not only in the season...but out of it too. Be blessed in Christ...you will be a blessing to others..without even trying! Amen! We do not need earthly things. Take only what you need and give to your brother, your neighbor, and anyone in need. The reward is far greater than anything you can hold. It is a reward of feeling the holy ghost move within your heart and soul. No elation is equal to this on Earth. When I go home an bow my head, I know what joy I will feel.
As a person who has been homeless, this is true! Homeless people are some of the most wisest people on the planet. They literally live off of God. They depend on Jesus for everything. They automatically expect they Holy Spirit to provide. So much can be learned from them. How I ate everyday was directly from people God spoke to. Sometimes I periodically go to homeless places to seek wisdom from them even though I am no longer homeless. Remember, Christ himself was technically homeless this video also shows how he was viewed back in his days too. But anyways it's very true what the word says "the meek will inherit the earth"
