May start a second career with these hints, but as I am 16 races in already, and used your hints from last year, knowing what the results would be, I started in a good place. Personally, for my first save I get as many upgrades at the start as possible, but for the second I go with as little as possible
Wow you're 16 races in already!! 🤯🤯 I haven't even started 😂😂 I think I will probably do it with as little upgrades as possible too, whenever I get round to starting the My Team series on the channel 👍👍
@@itsmeJUMBO I only run 25% races opposed to 50 though, and spent wayyy too long on the game for the three days that only deluxe edition was out, but looking forward to your save for this year
@@ehay4596 yeah 25% is good, you can get through the races fairly quick and can still have a good battle too!!

Me Personally. I'm going to Start My Team With Weight Redistribution Chassis, Drag Reduction Aerodynamics, Engine Power Powertrain, Spec 1 Facilities Aerodynamics. Bahrain Being The First Race Need to Make a Good First Impression and I Will Use Renault as my Power Unit.

I exclusively focused on aero and chassis upgrades
Your guide is good, but I think it's missing one detail. After watching this video, I decided to start over with a new career. I don't recall which questions (if not all of the ones that matter) but 2 of the 3 practice programs I had were different from my first save. Not entirely sure if it the questions did make a difference or not.
I mean they could do, but I think that the practice programmes you get are random and change for each weekend 👍👍
Just started my team career last night, I go for power unit upgrades and aero department, just a habit since playing F1 2020.
after securing first pole position in Baku with an Alfa Romeo outqualifying MV33 merely 0.016 sec.

I answered so that I didnt get any upgrades except durability and my car is still better than the alfa romeo, with enough upgrades coming to be on par with the alpine for the second race.
I was hoping to struggle getting out of Q1 against the williams and alfa for the first half of a season. Guess I have to drive for Haas?

just started my second myteam playthrough and the upgrades you get from each question are entirely different like for Q3 the responsive answer gave me a powertrain upgrade not aero
oh right, that seems strange that its different now then at launch, if it get a chance I'll look into it again 👍👍
@@itsmeJUMBO Could it be something to do with different power units because on my first playthrough I picked Honda and on my second I picked Mercedes but like you said it does seem a bit strange to change some answers as if they make an huge difference in game.
I think i will choose: maximum traction, ers system, not 1 race and spec 1 chassis (sorry for my bad english i'm french 😅)

Just found this video. I'm still in Season 1 of my career, having just raced the Russian GP. My car's development has been slow, to say the least. I think I messed up the questions way back when I started since I didn't know they had any effect. This is my first F1 game, so I'm still pretty bad. Which area would you recommend focusing on? (In my current save, I think the Durability department got a boost, which hasn't been that helpful...)
It's difficult to say what is best as it depends on your driving style and what you want to focus on at the beginning (power, aero, etc.). If you're not sure then could be best to try and get one upgrade for each department!! 👍👍

go power, power, power, aero, got 2 top aero upgrades + rear wing before bahrain, along with 9 power train upgrades (starting with an engine more powerful than mercedes) and 7 durability upgrades. Letting you focus purely on aero and chassis for the next 6-7 races. my last my team i started with aero, aero, chassis, aero, had a shitty start. With what i listed above as of right now i qualified p6 on 103 ai. Beautiful start

My first season was shit i took Honda and there was enginr failure All the time lad to dnf's and on top of that every 2 race i got gearshifting problems, finished p4 litterly one point beehind verstappen was raging

But tbh I kinda like my team car to focus on aero or power train but I mean it's how I do it and it isn't the best
Edit: yeah I sometimes forget chassis alot or durability but I still like durability in the early rounds

Will probably be in a few weeks, as I'm currently working on the tips and tricks videos first. But it is 100% happening I just want to get the helpful videos done first 👍👍
I personally chose to focus first on Chassis & Durability and then on Powertrain & Aerodynamics. This because in the first season and especially with Quick Practice your car parts will get a high % after every race. I'm personally not interested in My Team but just playing for the PS4 trophies so I've also set AI on 0 % and no flags and a lot of flashbacks. All other settings are normal, even with my car having standard mechanical failures. I've played now for 2 seasons with 10 races and my third with 20 races and I'm already done with most of the upgrades (less than 5 in total after the Azerbaijan GP). I also signed Max Verstappen after my second season (which now has a rating of 100 due to my facilities, questions and activities!) and I'm now finishing everything (and collecting my last 3 trophies in France, Hungary and Russia respectively)..

My target would be a car that starts with all departments leveled equally, is that possible?
You can get upgrades for 3 areas and then one Facility. So you could get chassis, Aero and power unit upgrades and then have a spec 1 Durability facility which would be a pretty solid base. it really depends on what you want/is more important to you!! 👍👍
Totally equally is not possible, but in the last game with help of the video from last year I found this way is the most even:
Traction answer (aerodynamics)
A new pair of eyes answer (aerodynamics)
We've developed (chasis)
Aerodynamics facilitiy
Also the next options gives you better results

Are the upgrades automatic or manual?
the ones from answering the questions are applied to your car automatically at the beginning, then any other upgrades after that need to be done by you 👍👍
So Mercedes Power Unit + Two Chassis Responses and an Aero Response = 6th best car
