Using Mira for the First Time!

- I am excited to use Mira for the first time. This Mira was donated to me along with 11 test sticks that check for estrogen, lh, and progesterone metabolites in urine. The one I am most interested in is the progesterone.
This is so cool to see and getting numbers for all the hormones. Cant wait to see video 2. Good luck!! Baby Dust!

I have been TTC too and recently I learned something new, I'll quote google or I'll mess it up haha - "In order to fertilize the egg, the sperm must undergo the process of capacitation in the reproductive tract where a number of enzymes and signaling molecules are involved. This process can take around 10 hours, which means that the fertilization time is approximately 24 hours." This has changed so much of how I think about when I ovulate and when the sperm needs to be there and ready. I know you're a researcher too, but in case you hadn't come across that yet, I wanted to share!
Thank you yes I was just thinking about capacitation today. With iui sperm, it has already been initiated. I used to get iui sperm when the ici sperm were not available. In my search I read it was a 5 to 7 hour process but after what I have experienced these past 5 years I think it is all relative to the sperm and the environment it is in. Thank you for sharing this! It is good to be aware of these things for sure!😊♥️♥️

Hi Andrea! Still watching the video, but the Mira app provides the information you’re looking for regarding average LH and PDG and estrogen prior to, during and after ovulation!
Also I got my NIPT results back and I’m low risk for abnormalities and we’re having a girl!

I have had above 2! I haven’t done any of that in over two years but I do believe the least peak I had was 2.79 or some where around there the last time I conceived ❤ I hope you get you miracle baby soon!!!!! 😊

When I was doing all my Mira research it said it was very important to test the same time everyday with the same type of sample. I think that’s why it says FMU. I know it can be hard to keep it consistent, I’m always up all through the night. The results could be a little off because of that. I’m praying your timing works out perfectly this cycle 🥰
Yes I read that too and that’s why I wanted to do lunchtime urine because it was the most consistent and concentrated. But then silly things happen still and my “consistent “ urine isn’t! 🙃 If not lunch, smu is my best. Thank you so much for your support! ♥️♥️

On this journey with you. I had my first at 24 and my second at 39. Trying for a 3rd at 40. Been trying for 6 months now. Just using easy at home and my peaks are 1.3-1.8.

I had a 2.2 on my Premom app back in February when I got pregnant there was hardly a control line at all it was the darkest I have ever had I took pics of it and ask a few friends if they had ever had one that dark and they said no I am so excited for you I pray this is the one

I've had 2's as highs and my 3's as peaks and I've gotten pregnant 3 times but 2 ended up as chemical pregnancies. Good luck!

Only a few times, I got a 2. After 2 and 1/2 years of trying. I've had 1 miscarriage and 5 chemical pregnancies. Right now I am 21 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby at 36 years old. Sending lots of good vibes your way.

My peaks on easy at home were between 1.04-1.88. The one time I got a 2.34 it turned out I was pregnant! I was never really consistent with testing either, forgot on odd days some months so I didn’t always get accurate results! Good luck and baby dust ❤

I had the Mira and I didn’t like it. I felt like it wasn’t accurate. I went back to clearblue and easy@home.

I used mira as well! Its great but it can be confusing to start since the app is getting to know your cycles. Sometimes it can take a few rounds before it can better predict more accurately.
Also Mira does give you a testing schedule on what cycle days you should start testing so you have your levels through the different phases of your cycle (follicular, ovulation and luteal). Im not sure if you had already been doing this.

Thank you! Actually, I have to depend on the letrozole and how it controls my cycle. What I really wanted the Mira for was to check progesterone levels before and after the fact! I’m so grateful for this Mira it has really been so cool to see and confirm my ovulation!♥️♥️
@andreapoole4778 ahh gotcha! Another thought, it might be worth contacting Mira directly to see what they would recommend when it comes to tracking medicated cycles. Just to get the most out of the product :)

I had a 2.02 on the easy@home strips back in August of 2022 when I got pregnant with my daughter! It was my first documented one. Not sure if it was that high with my son in 2020 because I had stopped testing thinking I was having an anovulatory cycle. (I conceived both children on CDs 30 and 33!)

I got a 2.03 one cycle and a 2.07 on another. Most of the time I get between 1.20 and 1.70.😊

Most of my peaks have been above 2. I've had some that were above 1 and I've had a couple that were 3

I have a friend who had bloodtests with all the levels before and during her surge I am happy to send them to you but I think that would be different measurements in Australia compared to mirra or would they be the same???

What’s NR? I’m taking quite a few I was taking Alpha lipoic acid, but I ran out. Also, taking zinc, prenatal, royal jelly, L’Arginine, folate, zinc, DHEA, CoQ10, magnesium, citrate and vitamin D3. Those are the most consistent ones I take. Thank you so much for your encouragement and support!♥️

NR - Nicotinamide riboside is a member of the vitamin B3 family, which also includes niacin and niacinamide (taken from google) its a drug that increases a chemical called NAD which is seen in younger ppl. There are no human studies but in rats they had favorable results in improving egg quality. I'm on a TTC group for women over 40 on Facebook and some women swear by it and said they conceived with the use of NR or NMN (Nicotinamide mononucleotide), both work on increasing the NAD chemical.

Haha! I know! It’s so nice to have these types of things at home when going to the doctor is so expensive! Obviously, this isn’t taking the place of needed medical care, but sometimes certain testing at a doctors office can be done at home without paying the high price!♥️♥️
@@andreapoole4778 I so agree that some testing can be done at home. Medical is so expensive and I’m a RN. My babies were born in 1994 and 1998. I lost a pregnancy in 1988, 1993, 1994, had 2 chemical pregnancies in 1993 and one in 1998. I am so happy these gadgets are out there to help women!!!

I’m newer here, how does one donate sperm? I’m so intrigued
I’m not really sure how they get into it. And I’m not sure how my donor learned how to store and ship his sperm where it can live for two days in the solution he puts it in. But there is such a solution for cattle insemination, so I guess it’s not a new thing. And the way he does it. It lasts and survives shipping very well. I guess they go on Facebook and advertise themselves! Pretty funny and it’s scary because you really have to trust them and make sure they don’t have any diseases and everything.😊

I got a 2.75 ratio last month but am not even LH testing this month. Do the ratios mean something? I.. haven't even paid attention to mine😮.
