    Thanks to your videos I did my first paying customers c6 corvette headlights tonight and made $100 in about an hour. I did they car in our companies parking lot. As I was working on it, another co-worker drove up in a mini, and said he was going to hit me up to restore his headlights. I think word of mouth will travel fast at work, and I will get a lot more work from it. Fantastic videos. I learn a lot from each one.

    Amazing talent! I recently (inspired by your skills) restored my headlights after buying most of the products and tools. The results were great! The first light I did looks about 90% better but the second one was 100% better. I may redo the first one now that I've gotten my feet wet. Thanks for sharing and teaching your methods.

    Good Lawd Man! I was looking right at that foggy light when it flashed over to the finished result and was temporarily blinded by the shiny. Perhaps in the future you do a gradual fade in? LOL, Just Kidding, you know I like to clown a bit, makes for better reading and I like to make people chuckle a bit. Another outstanding result, I don't know why I am always mesmerized by the process and impressed by the results of what you do to these headlights. I would also like to remind those who question you on the chemical process and how the material starts off as a liquid chemical formula that steel starts off as a molten liquid too before it is formed. Geez, some peoples children am I right, LOL?
    Edit: "There's a million different cheese burgers and I'm a chef". Ninja! You ain't no dang chef! You is a culinary genius playah! LOL.

    If you cant get the bonnet to open on a Mini, have someone push the bonnet down while you pull the release cable. It's a common issue, had it happen on my Mini a few weeks ago.

    I used your method and I really messed up. I can't blame you though. Even though I watched your videos 10 times I began to realize I don't have the finesse you have. This was my first attempt at this and I used a Bosh drill with the P500 disk. I got a little ambitious and burned the plastic. I bought a Ryobi drill and I'm going to try again. I think this is part of the learning process so I'm going to keep trying. I'm going to test on family members that have junk cars anyway.

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro
      @theheadlightrestorationpro  Рік тому

      Yeah the bus drills probably way too powerful.. rule of thumb is you want to be under 700 lb of torque... And under 1800 RPMs.. and that's pushing it anything over those numbers and you got plenty of room for burning and crazy stuff.. and yes thank you for being honest about not using the orange finesse it and that specific drill a lot of people will say oh my God it just this happened this night and I know damn well they're not using the same stuff but they say they are till the end so I commend you on that..
      But the finesse pad is unlike any other... The density and the materials I've never seen anything like it...

    the only thing I don't like about the meguiars headlight coating as that it's soft and doesn't have that thick clear oem look. if you run your fingernail across the meguiars it will scratch up. whereas oem or 2k will not. either way I use your process and want to thank you as I have started my own headlight restoration business here in socal. thank you for all you do pro

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro
      @theheadlightrestorationpro  Рік тому +2

      It's not soft after the curing process... Couple days later it's good... Not as hard as 2K clear ever but you don't want it to be cuz that'll destroy your headlight your headlight needs to flex and also deflect items/debris without damaging what's underneath...
      But no problem keep watching plenty more to come..
      If you want to have a successful business and get your skills up I suggest you watch all the videos..💯👍🏼

    Hey. Bro I recently restored a set of headlights, and I used the mcguire's headlight coating. Maybe like 2 minutes after I put the coating on, it started to rain & left spots on both headlights. In a case like this. I basically repeat the steps 500, 800, and 3000 again, right?

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro
      @theheadlightrestorationpro  Рік тому +1

      Probably the best bet..
      Wouldn't doubt just repeat, left thoroughly drive for about 25 minutes and repeat.. it's the best way you could try to polish and do all these other things but it's just going to mess things up because the coating is too fresh..

  • @MotoJoeVids
    @MotoJoeVids Рік тому +1

    Have you ever restored a pre 2006 mini cooper headlights? (where the lights are integrated into the bonnet/hood) I'm trying to do the headlights on my girlfriends mini although I am seeing scratch marks at the end. They look clear from a distance although up close there are still scratch marks and they are easy to see with the lights turned on. They don't look as snowy as yours whilst sanding and I'm thinking maybe I need to start with a 320 pad? I think maybe there is still clear coat left on there as I can see a line around the edge (if that makes sense lol). Are scratch marks harder to remove if there's still clear coat on? And will the meguiars coating help to cover them up? I still need to purchase the meguiars coating. I thought the trizact pad or the polishing may get rid of them but no. Love your videos and I really appreciate any help! :)

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro
      @theheadlightrestorationpro  Рік тому +1

      You want to make sure you're using the P variety of sanding disc... Also be wary of the p320s unless you have to.. don't make your situation even worse...
      And yes you really have to remove all the clear coat it scratches easier and will show through... Have to meet your depths watch a couple more of my videos and you'll definitely see how to get that.. take a look at this video...

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro

      You just have to get your skills up and be confident enough that you're not going to damage anybody's property.. that you're following the steps and number one being safe with your health and the health of the vehicle... I would say when you can get 10 off with no drama perfect examples but then you probably could start charging..
      But you got to go slow you can't start charging as much as the guy who been doing it for years you got to build up your portfolio always take before and after pictures.. you have to build up more things then just your skill as well..

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro

      It's kind of rare to be faded on the inside there's actually no such thing as faded on the inside... There's Lens discoloration the baby you don't preaching inside of the headlight which is liquid vapor and dust..
      But either way it's not recommended to take them apart it's not even worth it nine times at a 10 the light will end up breaking and even if you do nail it and clean it out real good they're going to fall the shit really fast it's a waste of time..

    got my 3M P500, P800 and P3000 trizact, do you have a video or some sort of picture chart showing how bad certain lights are and when to use maybe a P400 or P320 as I have noticed majority of your restorations you stick to the main three (500,800,3000)

    • @theheadlightrestorationpro
      @theheadlightrestorationpro  Рік тому

      Those are the normal usage.. you should try your best not to stray outside of that parameter.. if necessary if you test a spot and it seems like it'll take 10 p500s
      Then drop it lower... P320, p220.. I would never go lower than p220....
