    So many beautiful Victorian buildings that just need a little bit of TLC. There is a lot of them that were painted when they were better left as there were.The trouble with painting is you have to do so again years later and with the shop closing the area above looks terrible. All that would be needed to return most of them to there former glory would be rubbing that flaking paint off and new windows. The building with Cex in it would look far better without them in it there colours etc make the building look cheap when its not. There are a few 60s 70s buildings id like see knocked down one day but at the moment we have enough building sites.

    One thing that stands out more than anything is how trashy shop signs are now. Democratisation of the PC so owners just DIY them and get them made without a professional designer. Well at least no comic sans.

    I've been inside many of these buildings. Hanley has lots of wonderful history. This reminds me of the scene in the film Lucy from 2014. Industrious times have come & gone. Lets hope the planners save something.
