i completely love how honestly hyped he is by the instrument. This feels very authentic. Nothing against the newer videos with him, stunning quality. But i definitely prefer the more free speaking Andy Irvine. He speaks good of all the instruments - of course - but you can easily tell by this video that he was truly, yeah, blown away by that Vampyre. You can't have better advertising than this, WW!
you are extremely talented andy irvine it is a dream to play like you and must have taken lots of effort to get to where you are! you keep striving man
@@TheBeardofDOOM oh I understand that. My first bass that I bought 15 years ago is still way over my ability lol. I just always loved great craftsmanship and quality stuff.
I love the expression on Andy's face when he says "I'm blown away by this one.....;" thanks to this video, I'm thinking about purchasing a Vampyre, bass that (just like Andy) I would never consider to buy because of the body shape ..... but it seems to be a really versatile bass :) thanks for this video
LOL...I think we lose Andy from 7:30-9 minute mark! Lovin' my Corvette Double $$ NT Bubinga...but this could be my next one - love the shape/sound and NO floppy "B"!! WHO knew?!!!
I know this is late horrendously but I own the black lefty vamp 5 and it gets a shit ton of tones, but my only issue is comfort. It’s great sitting down one of the more comfy I’ve played but standing is another story. The strap locks are placed badly so when standing you feel the weight quickly and the bass has a tendency to slide forward to the ground marking you readjust the bass every couple of minutes but it’s still a good purchase
@@josephcooper9043 so that probably means I shouldn't get one, I was gonna get one of these German ones but they are probably the same comfort, so I will probably by a different one
Not sure how that’s happening homes. My numero uno is a custom shop 5 and it’s balanced beautifully standing or sitting and it’s hangin on me for 90 minute sets every night with zero problem. Only thing I can think of is your strap material. I remember years ago in an emergency situation having to use a crappy strap that most of the non leather straps are made of. Not sure what that material is but it’s awful and slick and slippery and I remember that happening. Wasn’t with the Vamp but nonetheless. So maybe try/consider a quality leather strap or any material but that awful plastic-y cheapo material. Anyway, if that IS the problem, hope this helps. Keep it greasy
Doogle Plays probably between the 3rd and 4th fret. Check out Victor Wooten’s version of Amazing Grace, he uses those “unnatural” harmonics a lot in that song.
I wish I could hear how the llow B sounds rather than few quick thumb hit notes to that lowest string. It is however important and very essentialy, relevant string to that model.
The review was alright. BUT... too repetitive; and Any didn't do a sound comparison between active and passive? That's a first. The bass itself is GORGEOUS! And, in whatever mode it was set to, I loved the sounds produced. Another 2 thumbs up for Warwick on the Vampyre 5!

Awesome sound! Andy is a great bass player and a great spokesman for Warwick
9 years later I finally bought mine! Should have it in a few days. I’m so stoked!
How it is?
@@frederickdoyon it is the nicest thing I’ve ever played
@@TheBeardofDOOM that's awesome! I see you on every bass channel and know you have a few bass so I that say a lot about this bass.
@@frederickdoyon If I am being completely honest, The bass is about 1000000000x beyond my ability to make it sound good 🤣

Visited the website but having trouble navigating and making selections. Would love to know what one of these would cost to make.

könnt ihr auch ein Video über die Herstellung von einem Bass machen?

Where are those harmonics he does around the 7:37 mark?

Damn I wish I could afford that bass,I have a vamp 5 Rockbass and must admit it sounds better than my Fender Custom Shop P
This or the Streamer Stage I (PJ configuration). Decisions, decisions.... :D
