Nice buck! Born and raised in FL myself all I hunt is WMA every deer and hog I've killed has been on one. I think it makes it that much more rewarding taking animals on public land. Heading out on the airboat tomorrow am for opening duck season. Just subscribed can't wait to see more from y'all. Good job!

Nice little Buck. I live in central Florida but hunt on my Dads land in Kentucky. Been thinking about trying out the public land here. What WMA do you suggest to hunt that isn’t quota only? I live in North Plant city by Zephyrhills.
Green Swamp off of 471 would be a good place for you to start. The next two months are the best time of the year to hunt in there as well. I believe the first 9 days of rifle is quota. After that, it’s open to everyone. Tough place to hunt but has some nice bucks.

The bucks here are smaller here vs Kentucky but I really like the way the antlers look down here. Can’t wait to get one. Congrats on all your hunting success. I enjoyed the videos 👍
Congrats. I spend hours and hours in the FL woods and deer hunting sucks. I haven't seen a buck to shoot in ANY SEASON in over 10 years. Up north, I'd tag out 4 deer a year!
I would find a big management area with open seasons..I would hunt everyday before or after work...gun rifle bow muzzle loader..I would immediately get into the draw system..I would hunt croom citrus WMA..ocala. osceola and apalachicola national forest..I would reset regroup and refocus...if necessary I would hunt late in green swamp..January or February...I would hunt as much as possible in the panhandle..apalachicola national forest goes until late February...and definitely got to camp blanding...its open most of the season ...and most of all I would purchase a tree lounge/lounger...I bought two 30 years ago and it changed my life....this is real world we are talking now...I moved to north Carolina in 2017...I killed two nice little bucks in January and February this year in apalachicola national forest...1 million acres ... one muzzle pistol and one with my 30 30 pistol ....I give God and my tree lounge all the credit
You want to find a place double tuff in Florida...I would rank it the hardest by far.. is Osceola national forest...I doubt any hunter can routinely kill a mature buck unless he has found a sweet spot that can't be explained...for whatever reason the state boys(game and fish) have tagged deer this year...which is super rare...they just want the hunter to call immediately and dont take the tag off until inspected...I'm all in ..when I kill my next deer in Osceola national forest with a pistol I'll have killed a buck in all three national forests in Florida and camp blanding with a pistol

Dont forget its totally legal to open carry in Florida...I suspect that it was created in Tallahassee for the bow hunter
