  • How to install Bonamici Rearsets on the Aprilia RSV4 1100 and the Tuono V4.
    Bonamici Rearsets GP Shift: www.motovation...
    Note: The rearsets I installed in this video are the race version, reverse shift or GP shift. The race version reasets do not come with the brake switch. If you want reverse shift but want to retain the brake switch for raod use, make sure you order the correct item. Or contact your supplier to verify that the product that will ship will retain the brake switch.

      I had a severe back injury that I’m still dealing with. But I’m excited to start the new mods. I have a lot planned. Triple clamp and clip ons, Samco radiator hoses and coolant flush, 520 chain and sprocket conversion, lighter sprocket carrier, forged wheels, Brembo rotors, front fork cartridges, evap removal and a lot more. This bike is about to exceed $40k lol ✌️

      Thank you! Film, narrate and edit was more difficult than the install itself lol. But the install is not that difficult. At least not more difficult than any other rearset manufacturer.

      Those were actually my first consideration. Because they look fancy. But when I checked them in person they didn’t click for me. All rearsets will do the job. It’s mostly preference and what works best for each.

    factory pegs fold, while many after market pegs are fixed. i think fixed are better since they can somewhat add protection to the engine side covers

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Місяць тому

      For street riding folding pegs are usually better as they can fold up if the boot is accidentally caught on the peg while repositioning your foot after a traffic light stop. But in racing it is important that the peg is always on the same position. Depending on the speed the non folding peg could assist as a slider but on higher speed it could be counterproductive as it can make the bike flip and total it. It’s always a hit and miss.

    great video! but just one thing, 7:28 that bolt needs to face the other way otherwise you will not be able to adjust the distance.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Місяць тому

      @@drinkenbus6813 It’s funny that you mentioned this because the instructions say to install it as I do on the video. But then when I installed the reasets on the bike and wanted to adjust the brake lever, I quickly realized that it’s better if I rotate it. ✌️

    Put a lock washer behind the bolts mounted to the frame on top and bottom. You will thank me later. It will bump the shift rod out with perfect clearance.

      That was my thought initially. But it seems to work perfect as it is. I may not need the washer after all. ✌️

      @@GenghisKhan311 Currently there is no manufacturer that makes Xtrenta replica street fairings. I spoke to a manufacturer that makes carbon street fairing for the RSV4 and I expressed my interest in the Xtrenta street fairings. He told me it’s a challenge and there are certain requirements that must be met for them to make them. Which tells me we wont see them in the market any time soon. At this time I have only found one manufacturer that makes Xtrenta track fairings. I was thinking of purchasing the track Xtrenta fairings and modifying them to fit the headlight. But I can’t confirm it will work and I can’t confirm it will clear the street radiator overflow. Too many variables to spent $1000 on to find out that it wont work. But who knows.. maybe I’ll pull the plug on them at some point and find out. Great video man, for some reasons my gear rod is chrome vs yours is black. I guess my is for rs660?

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  3 місяці тому

      I was anticipating this comment. The truth is that the rod comes in chrome and not black. Through the magic of my dealer, they were able to get me a black rod per my request from Bonamici. I wanted to mention this in the video but I had to edit out a lot of footage, because it was becoming to long as it is.

      I ordered some clamp brackets and I modified them with a drill and angle grinder to create the correct angle for it. Plus some spacers and longer bolts. It a little more involved so for that reason I’m planing to make a video how go do the same setup.
