You gotta respect a series where both teams are so disciplined on defense. It's almost like watching a hockey game where both goalies are on fire. You just know that every single point you score is super valuable. These days, a guy will score only to completely blow his defensive assignment on the other end.
59:36 yup! That's a man McDyess! got hit straight in the face, took it, didn't even flinch! nowadays players gonna fly back a few feet if that happens!
The Spurs were really a dynasty. They won it all 4 out of 8 years (99, 03, 05, 07) and the years they didn't win it all they were still in contention. They came within a few seconds of winning it all in 2013, then went back in 2014 and utterly destroyed LeBozo and the Heat. Also, I think Duncan-Ginobili-Parker is the best "Big 3" combination in NBA history. They were beautiful to watch.
Yep. Made 5 Finals with Duncan/Parker/Manu on the team & Pop as coach (with Kawhi there for 2). The Warriors made 5 Finals with Steph/Klay/Draymond on the team & Kerr as coach (with KD there for 3). Lebrons teams played those 2 teams in a combined 7 Finals. So silly the haters hold his team losing to those teams. Harder to dominant when there are 2-3 great teams in the league. Easier to dominant when ur the only 1 (from '92-'98 the Bulls were the only great team.... great teams keep making Finals not just get to 1 or 2).
i noticed the spurs pistons both were very scripted on offense in that first quarter...its odd to see...they were not really playing random ball it felt very boring to watch plays just being run like robots in practice rehashing their steps trying not to mess up.....hate that shit...i like the random manu stuff in the 2nd half that is improvised...thats basketball ...i hate when teams run plays constantly that it looks rehearsed..

This is probably Duncan’s most impressive finals win. The pistons during this era was almost unstoppable with their defense
Up by 4, Timmy passes to bowen who hits the open 3. Up by 3, again, Timmy hits the open Manu, who drains the 3. All in the 4th, Tim gets no points himself, but his team has now pulled away from Detroit. That's effecting the game without scoring. Its why he won 70% of his games, 19yrs straight in the playoffs, n once he was gone..... So many times id see the other team score 6, 8 in a row, and then Tim would score n settle his team. A true Legend....
4 mins left and Rasheed the only one to score the entire 4th quarter. DONT TELL ME MELO WOULDNT OF HELP THIS TEAM WIN
I was 4 years old at this time so it’s nice being able to go back and watch some greats in their prime. Duncan was a beast but shoutout to Robert horry dude Is a great role player who does everything you need him to do. Huge factor in this game
You gotta respect a series where both teams are so disciplined on defense. It's almost like watching a hockey game where both goalies are on fire.
You just know that every single point you score is super valuable. These days, a guy will score only to completely blow his defensive assignment on the other end.
Thank u so much for doing this please continue to stream these games we need a distraction and I love watching it. Thank you NBA
Super cool to see these uber-disciplined teams play. This was considered boring? These teams were world-class.
That D is insane. This is real basketball unlike the nba nowadays. Everyone wide open.
59:36 yup! That's a man McDyess! got hit straight in the face, took it, didn't even flinch! nowadays players gonna fly back a few feet if that happens!
I don’t miss the days when teams basically couldn’t score 40 points in a half
@@chrisuncleahmad789 yea, who wouldn't enjoy people chugging balls in the basket randomly and hope for the best percentage!
Manu deserved the fmvp this year. He was amazing
This was a real defensive game
my 2 favorite players in the era played against each other in this finals duncan and chauncey
Best NBA finals in history together with 1998 finals.
Love that block by Bowen 1:31:38, and the drive by Manu 1:31:56 😘😍🥰
Both these teams played lights out on defense and all the nasty in-between plays.
2 well disciplined teams that knew how to play the right way. There was no wrong team on winning this finals both teams deserved to win
Amazing game!both teams were fighting as hell ,coaches playing chess just GREAT basketball!!
i noticed the spurs pistons both were very scripted on offense in that first quarter...its odd to see...they were not really playing random ball it felt very boring to watch plays just being run like robots in practice rehashing their steps trying not to mess up.....hate that shit...i like the random manu stuff in the 2nd half that is improvised...thats basketball ...i hate when teams run plays constantly that it looks rehearsed..
Manu was the true mvp this series
Makes me think too bro
But imagine how duncan put the pressure on detroits defense too he is the one who makes all those open shots
Only if you think defense, rebounding and playmaking doesn't matter.
Look at the final score 20 and 14 not good enough?
Statistically, it was close. But Duncan still set the table.
Winning became a habit for Spurs with Tim Duncan around. The best PF so far.
So underrated Tim Duncan
I miss these playoffs from back in the day cuz the NBA had all kinds of championship players all spread out in the NBA, thts what made the NBA so interesting cuz all the stars in the NBA were playing to beat eachother not teaming up to beat the teams who didnt have a superstar on their team.
The spurs just won because they have: Prime Duncan, Parker and..
Manuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
Emmylou fumera norton finals MVP in my book, only one that could generate offense for San Antonio
Gurdeep Singh manu is overrated!!!!
So good they were in a game 7 lol
Gurdeep Singh ignoring tim Duncan’s defends and rebounding?
Don't forget Bowen and Horry!
This finals represent for me discipline of two teams. Application of rules technique, talent. Detroit and spurs 2005 was awesome. Coach Brown, coach pop great job. Basket ball win, you know why you love this game.
2005 nba finals is lit 🔥I was 11 years old that time and my childhood/grade school memories was all of my notebook is NBA STAR/TEAM. Make this Blue if you RELATE 👇👇👇
What a way for Tim Duncan and the Spurs to grind out a W.
81-74 final score is like the end of a 1st half in this era
The best finals series ive watched. I think no team scored 100points in this series. A hell of defense on both teams.
Was that great defene or awful offense?
@@chrisuncleahmad789 you do realize that these two teams are some of the best defensive teams of all time right?
@@msytuser and two of the worst offensive teams of all time
@@chrisuncleahmad789 neither of them would have been in the championship if they both had the worst offenses of all time and not an all time great defense.
1:43:36: Amazing, so amazing, the MVP #21 4Ever!!!
Robert Horry so underrated and a pivotal and also perfect fit for this 2005 chip! HOF Duncan in his prime!
I miss the cursive finals logo.......
Right!
Wow ... I didn't know that @NBA has that finals in Full HD. One of the best I've ever saw and it would be nice to see all games from that series in 1080HD
With me being a Pistons fan, I dont know why I watched this game again.
Yo I’m a Knick fan that’s a lot tougher
Probably because it was the last time you were ever gonna see their magical defense.
I am thinking about rip Hamilton missing that layup and travel lol
I still watch the 2013 series as a spurs fan and tell myself the same thing lmao. Good thing is we both can go one year over and watch our teams win it all.
As a Spurs fan, I always admired this Pistons team; it was not until the last few minutes that the Spurs managed to win this series. I always had respect for Larry Brown and how he coached his teams.
I love the San Antonio Spurs. Yet, I am a Detroit Pistons Go Detroit Pistons!
One of the best NBA finals in NBA history
Request: Malice at the Palace or Tracy’s 13 points in 33 seconds
Jonathan Reed they’re not gonna show malice at the palace because the NBA wants everyone to forget about it
lol
The series made me love basketball back in 2005
This is when basketball was a chest game now a days it just 3's
This is the famous Manu photo shot jumping swing his arm after winning the Champ, PRICELESS !!!!!!!!!
PLEASE 2014 WCF GAME 6 SPURS VS THUNDER
Ginobili is and will always be my favorite basketball player. He always played with his heart and he only thought about the team and not the records he could be breaking. How many players can say that? He never wanted to let his teammates down. I loved that he could have gone to any other franchise but he stuck with the SPURS. Now, that's loyalty, which most players don't have a clue what that means. He truly is underrated. If he was Black, he would be getting all the accolades he deserves.
Watching the Spurs win their 3rd championship makes proud to be a Spurs fan
Tim Duncan for ever❤❤❤
Do Game 1 2001 NBA FINALS LAKERS VS 76ERS
Allen Iverson averaging a 40 in the final round against Kobe and Shaq is massive
@akzepihC boB we need HD quality of this match
Not when you consider that he's the only one chucking shots for his team.
I miss watching that Spurs trio of Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker! Those dudes played such beautiful basketball!
