Totally agreed ! That’s literally a plastic tube that should be available for for free if not OTC for a dollar. The medical industry is a busine$$, they are not here to help us 🤷🏻♀️. Stay strong !

I am so sorry for how the hospital and drs dragged their feet. I to got septic from a pic line and had several blood clots and a fever of 103.2. They assumed because I complained about having pain that I was wanting pain meds. oh were they wrong. Thank you for sharing your ordeal with the type of service you were given. You are in my families prayers and thoughts. Hopefully the antibiotics will start making you feel a little better. The antibiotics that are specifically for sepsis start working pretty quick. I hope your nurse does whatever she can to make sure you rest good tonight. God bless Gina.
I had my gallbladder removed in 2008. My procedure was a few weeks out but I had pain. I went to one ER and they also thought I just wanted meds. Discharged me. I went to another ER and turns out my gall bladder was infected! I had it out the next day!
Please know that you are doing a tremendous service by educating us. I am definitely the women who would stay home and not go to ER. I will remember your experience in the future. 🙏with you.

I have a child with asthma too and she’s been in the er twice recently waiting for nebulizer treatment that she didn’t get . Thankfully her asthma is better now with Albuterol. Then she caught a stomach bug but doing better .Just said a prayer for you and asthmatic children and their parents.

I am so sorry that you are going through this . I wish I knew to trust my body and advocate for myself. I had breast cancer DCIS in 2021 and had mastectomy .with implants. Since 2022 I have been complaining that it feels like poking in my armpit and also expressed concern that I could have recurrence under implant since it was painful. I was told not to worry because my recurrence chance is really low and I only need physical exam every 6 month and what I feel is nerve pain from surgery. In September 2023, I found a lump in my armpit and finally had scans that showed I had multiple tumors in my armpit, under collar bone and under chest muscle and now it is spread to the point it is not operable and advanced. I am upset because I had a feeling that my pain was not normal but I did not want to be a difficult demanding patient. Hard lesson to learn to advocate for myself, thank you for sharing so others know that doctors do not know our bodies better then we do.
Hoping you get the help you need so you feel better and can be with your family you are a courageous mother
When this battle is over and won, you are going to be one strong mighty warrior for God. Your testimony will reach many. God works in perfect timing, He didn't bring you this far to have your story end.....You have your beautiful children to raise. God has your back Gina. Everything happens for a reason. And God has everything work for your good. The enemy has no power over you. God is with you every step of the way. Your faith will become stronger when you win this battle. Hang in there... God is fighting for you and loves you so much.

As an RN, both Cassie's story and yours makes me angry against my own profession. Anyone could have handed Cassie's mom what she needed, and a sepsis alert should have been called once it was determined you were septic. Protocol should have been followed with urgency. I would go to another hospital next time. Prayers for healing.

Just found your channel. You are actually presenting your story with great reserve because most people would be ballistic by now! As a retired RN, obviously, nurses and doctors are human and make mistakes BUT there is a difference between making a mistake and just being plain nonchalant and uncaring! Back during my nurses’ training, we were taught to value and LISTEN to our patients’ concerns. I do know it can be frustrating to be a truly caring healthcare professional who is required to wait on specialists to give the ok to move onward with treatments. Very irritating. So sorry for your experience and the little girl’s and her mom’s. That mama and her baby should have been in and out in less than a minute with that spacer! 😡

I was just like you during my Journey if it wasn’t feeling right with me I went to the Er and I wasn’t going to leave until they found out what it was . Your absolutely right you are your best advocate even when other think your being a bit of a whiny baby lol so Glad you didn’t stop keep fighting Lady your a Survivor be blessed.

@ginaschweppe5559 , Also, my pathology came back today for my melanoma surgery. It had spread in the lympnode. I'm waiting for further testing (probably CT & PET Scan). Here I go again!

It’s really ashamed how Drs and hospital treat patients now days! I love the way YOU speak up against the wrong!! You are a very strong Lady!
My son went into septic shock, from a spider bite, he had gone into the Drs office for 1 1/2 months to get antibodies, finally on his death bed, Drs decided to admit him to icu, stayed in there for 5 days, sent him to a reg. Room, next day he started fever and chills again, the spider bite site was black and blue and full of pus, walked up to the nurses station and told them he would die if, they didn’t do something for him soon, they finally sent him back to ICU
Where is BP was so low, they had to give him serious medications to bring it
up.he had a pic line too twice.
Went home 10 days later with iv fluids daily
My doctor specifically needed to see me as a mom with a family and not just another patient on the list.

What was the outcome for her? A blood clot in her heart?
@ginaschweppe5559 she had to have surgery...had cancer 3 x thank God survived...it was really scary...I'm so glad you got help fast...she tried to put it off almost didn't make it at 30 years old..finally she has been cancer free for years...

They don't care . To be honest most of the people tht work in hospital especially er are heartless. U have to be dying b4 the jump to help u. It very sad hospital were not made to be this way. Now it all about money not care very sad. I pray that little Cassie well an you heal from the burden that thrown into ur life.
