That's exactly how I found them! Spotify's Discovery playlist linked me to "Kick Drums & Red Wine" and I kept playing it and had to look into their only album (at the time) and was instantly a fan!
Tyler & Tim are the most down to earth awesome/humble musicians in the synthwave scene I think I've ever met. I went to their concert in Santa Fe, NM at Meow Wolf and I have to say it was not only a dream come true since I've been a fan of their music since 2016...but it was literally the best concert I've attended so far in my life. The sax player literally went into the audience doing a solo when they performed Vampires. He was incredible as was the entire band! Best of all I got to stand in front of the stage while everyone sang along to a vast majority of the songs. When it came to them performing Sunset as their last set for the show everyone was jumping up and down in the crowd and on the stage. It was a night I'll never forget!!! So uplifting!!! I was lucky enough to meet Tyler & Tim after the show ended at Meow Wolf near the Merch Area and they were so nice. They let me take some photos with them and Tim even signed the front of a Vinyl I was carrying of Nocturnal and it was a funny experience because I was in this hall near the merch area when he signed it really fast before a fan I think asked him for another autograph and by accident he signed my right thumb with the permanent marker as was signing the Vinyl lol. But I was like ''I got inked by Tim freaking McEwan I'm not complaining. In fact, its an honor haha.'' I've done some Guitar Covers of The Midnight over the years on my youtube channel and when I very nervously handed Tyler a CD of the Guitar Covers I had done of their music along with a CD of some of my own original music I told both Tyler & Tim: ''I do Guitar Covers of your music on UA-cam'' I remember seeing smiles on their faces in the kind of shocked enthusiastic way you'd never expect and it made my night. Tyler thanked me for the CDs I gave him too. Before I left the venue and said my goodbyes to Tim & Tyler I shook both of their hands introducing myself as Jason and then Tim had a shocked/excited look on his face while responding back to me: ''Jason!!!'' as he gave me a wink and pointed at me. I just stood there happily telling him and Tyler how it was nice to meet them. I remember Tim saying to me before I thanked them and walked away so they could take some photos with other fans something like: ''Nice to meet you buddy!'' while Tyler said ''Nice to meet you!'' with a huge smile on his face. We need more dudes like Tim & Tyler in the music business. As far as I could see they really care about their fans and take time to not only listen to their fans but interact with them as well. They're awesome. The Midnight's music has helped me through some seriously hard times in my life and their songs have always helped me never lose faith in life or a brighter future ahead no matter what challenges you may face. I believe their mission is to uplift people with their music. I will definitely go to another concert of theirs again whenever I have a chance!
I got into synthwave a while back, then FM-84 recently and in my recommendations was a lot of The Midnight... luckily... God bless googles algorithm because I bought three The Midnight albums yesterday. Been played so much in the past few weeks but now I can truly have them on loop until the inevitable zombie apocalypse happens. They're incredible. Hope to go to one of their gigs someday!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. They are seriously my most favorite band. I swear to fuck. I got to see them this past March 16th in Brooklyn. They were.... in...cred...iiiiiibleeeeeeee.
I guess it helps that I've worked with celebrities for years, but their music has meant soooo much to me so internally I was on the brink of fainting :P That and they're the coolest, nicest guys!
This is so cool! I met them both last week at the end of their final London show. Great guys. They signed my ticket and Tims signature was much cooler this time 😉😁
Oh good, he's learning :P I wish I could've seen them in Europe! Been to three shows but it's not nearly enough, they're beyond amazing and are getting the love they deserve
The Midnight fuckin' DOMINATE!!! Too bad they'll never be as famous and rich as they should be compared to other bands, current and past. Comeback kid, Sunset, Endless Summer......wow. Thanks.
Claire Jolly Yep! They needed a vinyl record player and asked local Los Angelinos on Facebook, I responded that I had one and happened to live close by and...well the rest is in the video :)
no haha they have a new album dropping oct 13th 2017. Did they come by for that one? Also, I really like your vlogs! the snapping transition is cool :)
Claire Jolly oh hahaha, no just that one since it's the only one they've printed onto vinyl. I'm looking forward to the new EP and will be at their LA concert as well. And thank you for the warm comments regarding my vlog! :)
Hey Rob! Thanks for sharing... I'd be a bloody, babbling fanboy mess, bombarding them with questions, etc. You're one lucky dude. They're my go-to music to play on the way home from a gig in the wee hours of the morning. I listen to them every day!
I just discovered The Midnight on Spotify and I haven't listened to anything else for a month. They are stunning!

I not a fan of EDM at all but Retrowave has got me feeling some type of way
Discovered from DigitalGravity's excellent music vids. 4 months later it's still daily listening.
lol I just discovered them last night and I feel like I'm going to be listening to them exclusively for a while.
Fm84 and Robert Parker

Unbelievable to see how Artists that make great Music always have such big Personalities. Love this Band to Bits !!
The vinyl master... That's so goood!! Lot of fun. Awesome vlog so far.
Just found this easter egg in the description box below.

It's funny that our own handwriting looks much worse than it does to others. To me, it looked like a perfect autograph.
Great Team! Love their music in my classiccars 👌
Hell yeah! So awesome! I would have freaked out too~
Going to see them tomorrow night!!!
UPDATE: The show was amazing! And now I'm a new fan of Nightly, too!!
I've been obsessed for a little over a year, so good!! Great vid.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. They are seriously my most favorite band. I swear to fuck. I got to see them this past March 16th in Brooklyn. They were.... in...cred...iiiiiibleeeeeeee.
excellent
How does someone who writes 80's style music not have a record player? Vinyl was king in the 80's! 🤣
That's totally rad. I just got thier nocturnal album in the mailbox last week. It's pressed on translucent midnight blue vinyl
One of the most gorgeous looking (and sounding) vinyls in my collection :D
RobPanico they also have it in a neon / hot pink color which I just ordered i couldnt find the blue
Yep, they sold out the blue for now, so the current one on sale is pink. I'm tempted to get that also just to have it as a collector's item :P
RobPanico so awesome. Glax to know someone loves them as much as I do if not more haha
super cool !!! guys
I am so jealous! ❤❤❤
I can’t believe how calm you were! I would have fainted.
I guess it helps that I've worked with celebrities for years, but their music has meant soooo much to me so internally I was on the brink of fainting :P That and they're the coolest, nicest guys!
RobPanico well I’m jealous for sure! They are by far one of my favorite bands
These guys are great !
Awesome!!! Haha I met them during the concert in LA last week. Haha Tim is such a funny guy!!!
A Huge fan of The Midnight..I need them to tour here in India😭😭😭

@@RobPanico they were amazing! Easily the best live band I've seen. They are coming back to the UK in November so I'll be seeing them again then.
@@ryanodoherty4090 Amazing! I'm hoping to see them in Santa Ana this May...but I may have a wedding to attend...I'm truly at a crossroads here hahaha
@@RobPanico skip the wedding. I would 😂 unless its your own of course, though even then I'd still think about it. Haha
@@ryanodoherty4090 Haha, if it was my wedding, I'd book them as the music talent!
I actually doubt that there is another group that I would really fangirl over if I met them. And I'm a guy, so fangirling is... y'know... hard.
Hey man, I fan-girled hard haha
@@RobPanico I don't blame you lol
Great video :)
The Midnight fuckin' DOMINATE!!! Too bad they'll never be as famous and rich as they should be compared to other bands, current and past. Comeback kid, Sunset, Endless Summer......wow. Thanks.
I don't know, their genre may be fairly niche but the consistently sold out shows and ever-growing fan base may prove otherwise :D
YOU'RE SO LUCKYYYY!!!!! HAHAHAHHA I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW NERVOUS I WOULD BE IN YOUR PLACE
Lucky you, my life have changed because of this music, and I'm not even from the 80's haha.
HOLY SHIT
This group is the real deal...the chainsmokers have nothing on them
I tought it was an interview with them :(
DID THEY COME OVER FOR THEIR NEW ALBUM
Claire Jolly Yep! They needed a vinyl record player and asked local Los Angelinos on Facebook, I responded that I had one and happened to live close by and...well the rest is in the video :)

is the mix-mastering is the same for both cd and lp or different one ? sorry to ask this but that's important , thank you .
