My company is also undergoing restructuring and they're laying off my entire department (100 people), including me, even though I have a very nice experience of 8 years in my industry and I speak German at B2 level. In such a situation you really need to have big luck to receive a job. Overall, companies don't want to hire freshly graduated people currently, as there are a lot of experienced people on the market anyway, so graduates often end up working at McDonald's or in internships that never end. I'm truly worried at a possible large-scaled deindustrialization in Germany in medium terms (5 years). 😥 The government can print money or sell bonds as they want, to help the industry, but this is not sustainable.
Thanks for this video. You are totally right and i'm currently living in Germany and also my current employer is going through Insolvency. what you said about Germany is Right !
When I first came here in November 2022, almost every job I applied for contacted me for an interview, and I had gainful employment within a week of moving here, with hardly any German. Well, I was laid off in September along with 15 others in my company, and from what I've heard from ex colleagues, they've been laying people off regularly since. I thought it would be temporary, and I'll get a new job very fast, but every job I've applied for, and I've applied for A LOT, have been sending me rejection emails. I can't even get an interview in the last 3 months. I'm beginning to think this reign of unemployment might last longer than I thought. My German is ok, but still not advanced enough to work in it. I've enrolled in an intense Deutsch course in January, because every job ad I've seen requires "Deutsch erforderlich".
I got laid off from Bosch last month and still struggling to find another job. Indian students must not opt for English speaking courses here. These masters/bachelor courses are a big scam to lure kids from 3rd world countries.
Hi I worked in Germany for a year I lost my Job due to economic slowdown plus without a good command over German it's extremely difficult to get a new job. I came back to India. I used to live in Stuttgart. Seems like the situation in Germany will get worst. I used to work with one of the best companies in Germany. I won't name it but you would know who the big player in stuttgart is.
Yes, I fully understand. I have a pretty big frind circle in Stuttgart. Things are really chaotic in Germany these days. Unfortunately, most influencers are still painting rosy picture of Germany !
@FirangiFiles I used to work in Bosch, by 2025 more then 7000 employees will be sacked if you don't get a job in 3 months you have to go back only thing I am grateful about is when I came to Stuttgart things were worse now it's way more horrible then worst. I have seen master students struggling to get a part time job. I would not recommend even students doing masters to travel to Germany now.
Its gonna br extremely extremely hard for new comers for MS or BS to germany. Economy is taking a nose dive in Germany and people cannot get jobs even with experience and many i say many are being laid off left and right. That’s just the economy, i am not touching other topics roght now which are even worse such as subtle racism at every level. That’s will get worse once economy turns real bad as govt and people are already blaming the foreigners and expats for the bad situation of economy…

Absolutely true my friend. Im so glad to see genuine perspective. I am sure your video will be helpful to many aspirants who are thinking of moving to Germany. I have lived and studied in Germany myself. 2004 -2008. In TU Dresden. Back then, things were really good but still i never stayed or worked there. Now, things are going down hill. Plus, anti foreigner sentiment is at an all time high. Plus such heavy taxes there. What are you going to save really ? Its better to stay and work in India. Its much better here. Rest, people are free to do what they want.

Situation should change over time. I hope it should be better after 2 years. However, in these 2 yeasr you MUST only focus on Your Core skills + German Language. Avoid distractions like fun/partys/ and also unnecessary part time jobs (to the extent possible)
@FirangiFiles thank you for the reply. but my real concern is that would it be worthwhile paying more than 15000 euro fees by studying in a private uni for the same course?
In my honest opinion, paying such a huge amount (15K€) makes no sense when there are numerous Free/Public universities in Germany. Infact Germany is known world over for free Post Grad education, and for such facilities working porfessionals are so heavily taxed (I pay 42% tax).

Thanks a lot for your genuine advice
You're welcome 😊
Its gonna br extremely extremely hard for new comers for MS or BS to germany. Economy is taking a nose dive in Germany and people cannot get jobs even with experience and many i say many are being laid off left and right. That’s just the economy, i am not touching other topics roght now which are even worse such as subtle racism at every level. That’s will get worse once economy turns real bad as govt and people are already blaming the foreigners and expats for the bad situation of economy…
du hast recht!
Once bad time comes, Chaos also kicks in
Even the Govt is badly unstable
True video, at my previous work place there were 4 waves of layoffs (maybe more, but after the 4th it isn't my problem anymore)
I wish you all the best for future !
thank you for accurate information.

Age is indeed NOT a criteria anywhere.

I have just become your subscriber now ,, , well explained .........I have two questions sir , I am in class 12 and I am planning to come in Belgium in KU Leuven ,for engineering so please tell me am I in right track , is same Chaos going in Belgium also ? Please answer that Will the Chaos of Germany and EU be sorted , because as you said just after corona you faced similar problems, but after that for 2 year the things were going good , right ?? , If yes , then will this chaos be sorted too What is your thought in this ??
Hi, Belgium is entirely differnt case. Kind of out of syllabus for me !
No one ever predicted this condition of Germany 2 years ago. Its next to imposiible to predict 2 years in advance.
However, the way Germany jumped back after Corona shows its strong background.
I hope, it should be better after 2-3 years.
However, in any case, Learning local language and upskilling is always the key to success.
I will suggest, stay focussed on your studies and be an expert of atleast a couple of profiles in your study field.

Iam studying 1st year bachelors.
What should i do to get internship which is mandarory in my 3 rd year?can you give some advice
For Students, I suggest:
1. Learn German on TOP MOST Priority
2. Aim and prepare for long term goals. They MUST avoid 20Hr per week jobs (like Resturant/Warehouse etc) as much as possible. Do it only to meet monthly expenditure. and use rest time upskilling + Learning German

Hi, It is definitely possible to do some part time jobs and cover monthly expenses. However, you must not focus on this.
Better stay focussed on your Career aspects, Upskilling and also Learning German.
target far end goals and not short term short lifed targets

what about for international students coming to germany? what should their plan b be?
For Students, I suggest:
1. Learn German on TOP MOST Priority
2. Aim and prepare for long term goals. They MUST avoid 20Hr per week jobs (like Resturant/Warehouse etc) as much as possible. Do it only to meet monthly expenditure. and use rest time upskilling + Learning German
@ is there a reason to stop working in those part time jobs ( restaurants and warehouses)??
@@HusseinAbdi-jo6zs The reason is that these kind of jobs don't give you relevant job experience. You should instead focus on trying to upskill yourself, get internships in relevant fields to gain experience

I am very happy I left Germany. I wasted a decade in Germany.
career or not - answer is not
germany's biggest problem is not possibilty of war with russia but unavailability of cheap russian gas due to the war....
Bunkers are already being identified. App to track nearest bunker is being developed. These are preperations in case Geramny is forced into war
Hi Sidharth, I have got my opportunity card visa and am planning to travel in the end of January 2025. Should I postpone for a couple of months? I have already resigned my job 😢
As mentioned in last minute
1. Learn German
2. Keep plan B ready
Lastly, as you are already half way through, it makes no sense stepping back.
May be you can consider trying your luck here and get a feel of reality.
@firangifiles Hi Sidharth ji, I’m planning to move to Nederlands in 2months. I got infinite contract in a electrical machinery service company. Is that good to move now to Nederlands now? I don’t know Dutch and German. Your suggestion will me more valuable for me.
@@FirangiFiles Thanks Sidharth. I have got a job offer in India also with a good hike, so I am deciding on what to choose between!!
@@cashahmed Take an informed decision. All the best
