I was thinking the same thing. He should be doing more car reviews. Great video. I have a 2003 G35 sedan which is why this video even came up. Glad to have come across this.
Just got rid of my G35x for a Q50 3.0t a few months ago. I purchased the G35 with 140k miles. Had it for 6 years, great purchase for me. Transmission went out at around 185k miles. A few small repairs here and there DIY. After that it was smooth sailing until I had problems with the sensors and ECU around 240k miles. Got it to 249k before I got rid of it, loved every moment and I believe it could’ve lasted longer if I was car savvy back then. This car for sure made me a great garage mechanic. Take care of your car and it will take care of you.
I am 45 years old and I am a proud owner of a manual G35 with full bolt ons and Admintuned. I have to say, the goods outway the bad. This is just simply a fun nice looking car to drive with qualities you can't find in any other car at this price range today. Great review!
Great review man! As a g35 owner I definitely have to agree with the gas gauge being the most annoying thing haha. I ran out like twice in the same month😂
Had the same issue with the gas gauge not working. Luckily I have the navigation pkg so I was able to see fuel status on screen. Then I read about placing a magnet over the gas gauge needle and moving it ard. Miracously fixed my problem!
I too had the gauge problem... found out by running out.. lol. I took out the fuel sensor from the tank(backseat acces) and cleaned the crap buildup from the contacts and the gauge seemed to start working again. Thankfully my trip meter still works so I keep tabs on that also. I'm at 240k miles on my '06. She's been a trooper

Paint failure on the roof and left hood as in peeling off. Drivers seat leather is a mess, which I found out is common, Bose amp can be intermittent, common, and the thing thunks over bumps= suspension rebuild. I have a friend who worked at Nissan HQ in quality control, he said they price shop parts looking to save $$ looking for 100k in reliability vs . Toyota which looks for parts that don't break. I have had two Lexus GS cars with none of these problems with age and higher miles. That said the car is a great driver and worth fixing the problems- anyone got a drivers seat?

I might upload a video on repairing it if enough interest. The 3rd brake light needs the 2 diodes changing for larger ones 1N5404's so that works also.
Great review I'm 23 and this car was my dream car in middle and high school. After a few years of saving I got a 06 g35 coupe completely stock at auction for 3k in early 2020 needed a bunch of repairs but over 6 months and 4.5 k later it has been reliable fun daily. I plan to keep it for a long time maybe some light mods nothing crazy deciding between new leather seats or a invidia gemini cat back
I just bought mine in March. My wife has been in and only like three times and each time she always complains about those doors closing.. and considering the car is so low to the ground between that and trying to keep the door open. It's a really big pain in her you know what. I just upgraded the head unit to a Sony AX4000 or something like that wireless Android and Apple so pretty cool. I'm happy with the car.. makes a couple of odd noises here and there but still happy
The one thing the g37 and q60 never captured was the design. I had a 2002. There is still nothing like it. The closest I got was my 2013 genesis coupe. Sadly auto manufacturers are going ev now and coupes are dying.
I have a video of myself (2008 HR G35xS) going 120+mph with a 2003 6 Speed & we are neck & neck.... it's pretty awesome. They are definitely NOT slow cars! The manuals are to be respected. Especially when you KNOW they aren't stock.
I've had my 06 since 2011. Never really had any major issues with. It only has 116k miles on it. Always get compliments and offers for it, not selling ever. Oh my driver side window motor is out.. Lol. Great review 💯
The car has its quirks and problems but ive never had to spend any money on getting major repairs done to it. It runs strong as long as you take care of it. Plus its very fun to mod if you got the money for it. One of the best inexpensive Japanese sports cars ever made
I have a 2nd hand Nissan Skyline 250gt and have the same door issue. I purchased and shipped the door link from Japan and fix them on all my 4 doors. Now it is working great! Great review anyway! We love our Skyline. 👍
I would love a whole series of these videos. This production and direction is so well done, I wish I had a video like this on the old LS430's cause I'm looking to buy one of those for my daily rn and a video like this would be fantastic. Can't wait to see what you put out in the future.
Before I bought my 07 G35X, I was driving a 98 LS400 and if it had four-wheel-drive I would've kept it forever. That's what sold me on the g35x was the all wheel drive, later I found out how much I loved this car. The LS400 was my wife's favourite ever!
It's the best car I ever drove it's the best edition I think very accurate easy to drift I love it ,I would get back 1 in my position as a classic which it is
Bro I’ve had my Infiniti for 6 years and I’ve had every single problem you listed 😂 window motors, volume control, key fob, gas gauge, cam sensors, everything 😅
I don’t have almost any of the electronic issues. Only one I have is sometimes the windows won’t close and I have to slam the door to get them to work. But it’s rare that that happens. Great car, the manual transmission feels so solid and determined. Downshifts are heaven in these things.
@@windows_down_ clock works but I barely use it cause I got lucky and snagged the fully loaded version. It came with all wheel steering and one of those little nav screens with digital time.
Great video man, really enjoyed how you went about this review. Very entertaining to watch and informative! Think you should do more car reviews, you have a unique style
Fixed my gas gauge by having the instrument cluster rebuilt. There are a couple of resistors whose solder joints fail after many years. Cost about $100 but they also replaced all the lights. Fixed my clock with a replacement cluster off of e-bay. Now if the leather in the seats would last. Oh, and welded the broken bracket in the seat. The seats are not terribly robust and will break if you throw yourself into the car.
Just sold my 07' G35 a few weeks ago. Hurt like hell, but unfortunately it was time. Interior falling apart, gas gauge not working, electrical issues, occasional stalling, small oil leak, etc. But you're definitely right, the engine and transmission were still really solid after the 12 years I had it and the 130k miles it had on it. It's a shame that Infiniti won't bring back the G series, I would've bought another one in a heartbeat.
Ever since I was a kid I've wanted a G35 Coupe, now that I'm on the grind and making money I am more motivated to getting it, it's gonna be sad when I get rid of my 8th Gen Civic Coupe :(
It seems 4 doors will try and take you out below the knees as well. And ... Please PLEASE telll me I'm not the only G35 owner that constantly looses things beside the front seats and the center console!? I swear one of these days I'm gonna remove the front driver AND passenger seat just to get the change I've lost; there's gotta be damned near enough down there now to buy a bloody tank of gas!
For the seats, there should be memory modules you can set up to where when you get in t the car it’ll automatically adjust to the memory option you have set. At least that’s how it is for the 2012 G37 sedan. Sadly my chairs went out and am passengerless due to the chair being stuck in incline.
2004 g35 seats have memory. If it's the seat control that's not working, you can switch the wires under the front of the seat to bring it back up till you fix it
I wont even cap.. the way you talk and deliver I thought you was 500k subs up. Quality is definitely up there! Keep it up, def subbing. This video was amazing. I’ve been fawning over this car and I’m still waiting on the day I can cop one.
Great job on the reviews! I have an 06 sport sedan with 5spd auto. All factory no mods odometer is almost at 300,00 everything still works as should. Love the looks of both 2 and 4 door. Again great reviews!
Purchased this car as a daily. I currently drive a dope ahh 2021 Dodge Charger GT. This will be my first coupe. Looking forward to what she has to offer.

I've owned my '04 since '11 and there are VERY few cars that I would consider replacing it with. The only problems mine has that yours does is the LCA and Comp Rod bushings and the peeling of those vinyl inserts in the back seats. All EASILY fixable. I've done nothing but "OEM +" mods (basically mods that just free up what the factory had to leave on the table due to US regulations) and it's still rock solid. Interior is still 9/10, and only real complaint is the soft paint...of course it's 18yrs old now, but I'll get it painted soon and with that it'll be basically a brand new car. Honestly can't say enough about it; it's going to be very worthwhile in the future to have one... especially a 6mt.
Nice, these are surprisingly robust. Nissan often doesn't get the credit of Toyota/Honda, but I've been impressed and I've had less CEL than my Acura's in the past knock on wood

That's awesome, I had no idea they weren't common there
I bought a 2003 g35 for $700 with some hail damage. 3 Years later it still works incredible
thats a steal lol
Wow, amazing review. Probably the best one I’ve seen on UA-cam for this car.
Thanks paycloud!
5:00 Locked myself out of my car on the second day cause those doors shut automatically. Learned to keep the window down a little.
lol I do the same thing
Great review I'm 23 and this car was my dream car in middle and high school. After a few years of saving I got a 06 g35 coupe completely stock at auction for 3k in early 2020 needed a bunch of repairs but over 6 months and 4.5 k later it has been reliable fun daily. I plan to keep it for a long time maybe some light mods nothing crazy deciding between new leather seats or a invidia gemini cat back
Nice, sounds like a fun project and making it yours
Nah this content, editing and little humor is really good my man, you shallll get the following you want just stay consistent! Good video my man
Thanks Tajaun!
Doors are the worst part, she's just gotta get used to putting a foot on it haha
The one thing the g37 and q60 never captured was the design. I had a 2002. There is still nothing like it. The closest I got was my 2013 genesis coupe. Sadly auto manufacturers are going ev now and coupes are dying.
Agreed that the G35 nailed the design
Very stiff suspension but that makes it the best handling. So well planted. One of the smoothest engines.
I have a video of myself (2008 HR G35xS) going 120+mph with a 2003 6 Speed & we are neck & neck.... it's pretty awesome. They are definitely NOT slow cars! The manuals are to be respected. Especially when you KNOW they aren't stock.
Simple, no ricer mods, nothing too extra, manual, looks great!
Appreciate it!
I've had my 06 since 2011. Never really had any major issues with. It only has 116k miles on it. Always get compliments and offers for it, not selling ever. Oh my driver side window motor is out.. Lol. Great review 💯
Thanks Patrick, long time holder - nice
This dudes only got a bit over 1k subs where the FUCK did this quality come from? Passion. The same passion he has for his g35. Subscribe to this man!
Thanks Blackoutz!
No kidding - excellently put together video - humor, real-life info, enthusiasm for the car - all well done @windows_down_ !
Interesting, I didn't know it was an issue on the 4 door as well. Well done on fixing it!
I would love a whole series of these videos. This production and direction is so well done, I wish I had a video like this on the old LS430's cause I'm looking to buy one of those for my daily rn and a video like this would be fantastic. Can't wait to see what you put out in the future.
Appreciate it! Definitely working on some cool things, stay tuned
Before I bought my 07 G35X, I was driving a 98 LS400 and if it had four-wheel-drive I would've kept it forever. That's what sold me on the g35x was the all wheel drive, later I found out how much I loved this car. The LS400 was my wife's favourite ever!
I’ve had mine since brand new in 06, has never given me problems 🤞🏽. Great review!
Thanks Weber!
Fantastic long term review. I now know exactly what quirks to look out for with these cars. Great job.
Thanks! Lots of small things
I've got an '05 G35x (sedan). Love it thus far. One of the best cars to drive in snow/winter with its power/torque, awd and weight
Awesome review, agreed on everything since I had one for 7 years and enjoyed every bit of it and just recently bought another one :)
I don’t have almost any of the electronic issues. Only one I have is sometimes the windows won’t close and I have to slam the door to get them to work. But it’s rare that that happens. Great car, the manual transmission feels so solid and determined. Downshifts are heaven in these things.
And your clock works? Dang, lucky lol
@@windows_down_ clock works but I barely use it cause I got lucky and snagged the fully loaded version. It came with all wheel steering and one of those little nav screens with digital time.
@@luckyiscrazy9560 ahh niiice!
Literally have all the same problems on my G. Thought i was the only one... Thanks!
This is the best review I’ve ever see for anything!!! Man’s really educated me
Lol it's the flywheel chatter that sounds like a cement mixer
Just sold my 06 I had for about 12 years. Great car but mpg was killing me! Glad it went to a good home
Me and my girl just got a g35 for 10k we turned it to our project car she runs so smooth !
Depending on mileage and condition of the car that’s a lot to pay for a g35
10k?
@@Thatguy5269- it’s in well condition didn’t have too much miles 160k wish I could post pictures on here haha
@@peckols_yt I only paid 4 outta pocket the car is nice lol
i love seeing stuff like this after buying my own 04 g35 and there wasn’t anything that wasn’t true or miss informing
i wish you success in the future
Appreciate it Kyle!
Great video man, really enjoyed how you went about this review. Very entertaining to watch and informative! Think you should do more car reviews, you have a unique style
Thanks, appreciate it!
Interesting on the dash fix, need that!
@@windows_down_ - Prices have gone up. Still worth it. In California if the gas gauge doesn't work you won't pass smog check (ask me how I know).
Don't tell anyone I passed my smog then lol
Just sold my 07' G35 a few weeks ago. Hurt like hell, but unfortunately it was time. Interior falling apart, gas gauge not working, electrical issues, occasional stalling, small oil leak, etc. But you're definitely right, the engine and transmission were still really solid after the 12 years I had it and the 130k miles it had on it. It's a shame that Infiniti won't bring back the G series, I would've bought another one in a heartbeat.
Yeah, at a certain age and issues it's tough call but sometimes better to let it go :/
Ever since I was a kid I've wanted a G35 Coupe, now that I'm on the grind and making money I am more motivated to getting it, it's gonna be sad when I get rid of my 8th Gen Civic Coupe :(
Always hard to sell a good car!
It seems 4 doors will try and take you out below the knees as well. And ... Please PLEASE telll me I'm not the only G35 owner that constantly looses things beside the front seats and the center console!? I swear one of these days I'm gonna remove the front driver AND passenger seat just to get the change I've lost; there's gotta be damned near enough down there now to buy a bloody tank of gas!
yeah, so many times I've done the "well if I roll the seat all the way forward maybeeee..."
DUDE this guy needs to have more followers, better than most "car reviewers" on youtube today
Thanks, agreed :)
For the seats, there should be memory modules you can set up to where when you get in t the car it’ll automatically adjust to the memory option you have set. At least that’s how it is for the 2012 G37 sedan. Sadly my chairs went out and am passengerless due to the chair being stuck in incline.
they are on all g years from what i know
Your seats failed in a 2012 vehicle? Aw man Nissan never fails to amaze.
2004 g35 seats have memory. If it's the seat control that's not working, you can switch the wires under the front of the seat to bring it back up till you fix it
Bro judging by the quality of this video i thought i was watching like 300k+ subs chanell! Brilliantly done
Thanks!
I wont even cap.. the way you talk and deliver I thought you was 500k subs up. Quality is definitely up there! Keep it up, def subbing. This video was amazing. I’ve been fawning over this car and I’m still waiting on the day I can cop one.
Thanks, appreciate the sub!
I bought my 2004 G35 sedan new, I still have it and I love it... it still runs and looks good !!!!
This I think is the best reveiw of the G35 hands down🔥🔥🔥
Great job on the reviews! I have an 06 sport sedan with 5spd auto. All factory no mods odometer is almost at 300,00 everything still works as should. Love the looks of both 2 and 4 door. Again great reviews!
Oh yeah.....and I forgot lol the gas gauge doesn't work and boy it's an oilaholic lol
haha thanks for the feedback. And hey, if most of everything else is working at 300k, I'll call that a win!
Purchased this car as a daily. I currently drive a dope ahh 2021 Dodge Charger GT. This will be my first coupe. Looking forward to what she has to offer.
I hope you enjoy it, definitely smaller than the charger
G35 sedan was my first car. Loved it. Pretty quick and practical. 👍🏻
This was one of the best reviews I’ve ever watched
Thanks Jordan, appreciate that!
been looking for a clean G for a while hoping this is my first car🤞🏽
Clean one are out there, best of luck
Bought my 03 in 05, sport package brembos, aps single turbo few other things. Still love it. Never gonna sell it.
Always wanted to drive a turbo VQ, bet it's a blast
@@windows_down_ loads of fun, I keep a safe 8-9psi full spool by 2500rpm, Been boosted for 47k miles without issue other than the cam shaft position sensors dont like the added heat and failed.
Love seeing the value go up....I can get more for my G35 now, then what I paid in 2018
Nice. I have the Japan version Nissan Skyline 350GT.
Great and super informative video, I've been looking at selling my mustang to get one of these instead because of gas prices and this has really helped thanks.
Glad it helped, it does take premium gas so the 20mpg's isn't the cheapest
And if you do some performance mods to get up around 300 wheel hp, you'll see about 14 mpg. Just a heads up.....
@@theg.c.142 can’t even hit 300whp with these vqde or rev up
@@Longshlongjon22 you can, but it costs twice as much as just going FI. Not worth it, but a couple people have done it.
🤣, you ain't getting any better MPG with a G...the gearing in these is pretty aggressive.
Just bought a 2006 last week. Near excellent condition for $6,500--130k mi. Love it !
I'm hoping this will be my first car, parents are cool with it I just need to find the one! And I think I may have! An 07 with just over 100k miles.
That'd be a nice first car, best of luck on the search
i just got one as my firsf car! 04 with 150k
@@dub4906 that's dope bro. only thing i'm concerned about is insurance because obv i'm not trying to be greedy if my parents are paying for it and gas mileage
@@bucksguy343 yeah no for sure, the insurance is in my dads name so its not as high, about $90 a month. and imma be honest the gas mileage sucks, at most 18/mpg 😭😭 but the car is so fun to drive its worth it
Do not get a rev up model yr
Got an m35 recently and I've really enjoyed it, only thing is very poor gas mileage vs my old Camry lol
This vid was filmed great 👍
Thanks!
I've had my 2005 G35 Sedan for 14 years now with 163k miles on.. I'm just now replacing control arm bushings.. Everything else was things like cam sensors, thermostat, radiator, spark plugs, belts.. Most of the stuff you can service your self with tools and time. There is plenty of info on the G35 forum.. I can literally almost dignois everything just of the G35 forms.. It's a good car with a reliable engine.. And honestly I didn't take good care of her because I was young at the time and didn't care
I have an 04 tl and honestly the g35 the Tl and the Lexus IS 250/350 are all gonna be future classic. Timeless looks to these cars
All great cars in their own right
The next big car review channel. Love this dude!
love you too Caleb Kim
05 g35 74k mi. Garage princess..
Weekend car, just running around town.
Actually everything works on it including the CD player.. totally stock
I just had it ceramic coated, beautiful...
Putting cold induction and or some other mods on it like big brakes...but never did it..
That's some impressive mileage for an 05!
That's some impressive mileage for an 05!
Great review! Surprised to find it came from someone with so few subscribers, you def deserve more bro.
Thanks Nathan, working on it
292k and going strong
Never fix the gas gauge. It's the only reason my car was recovered when stolen.
Now that is a pro tip, awesome lol
314k and bagged now
I have an 03 G35 with 33.5k miles. Love it!
How is this possible lol
I was is disbelief also. I paid 12k for it last year. Bought it from an older guy and it was garage kept. I am the second owner now. And yes its a six speed and has the brembos
owned my g for two years best car ever i’m at 170k miles and it still runs perfectly i would recommend this car to anyone
I recently bought a Maxima VQ35DE 6MT. It's essentially a budget, no frills alternative to the G35, especially if you want four doors. I bought it as a car that could easily be fixed if it broke down in Mexico.
just got a 2007 g35x last week and i love it😁 it’s the best car i’ve driven by far and my first car as a 17 year old which is awesome
8 years owning my 07 G coupe and still love it.
I bought my 03 g35 a few years ago and had the same fuel gage problem. My bf Went to the junk yard for some parts and changed the floater in the gas tank fixed my nightmare of having to take notes everytime I had to get gas
I should probably do that as well lol
hey man, love the video. i drive a 2006 g35 in silver AND live in your area. This is the first video I've seen of yours and knew I recognized the car somehow. Cant wait to see more content, keep up the good work!
Thanks! Hopefully see ya around some time
You should buy a G20t in 2022. It has multi-link suspension all around, SR20 engine, VLSD, It's a BTCC legend, and it's part of the Nissan Heritage collection. You can find a nice one with under 100k miles for ~$5000. I am a bit biased, though. :)
That sounds like an awesome recipe! Sounds like you'd have to import one into the states
gotta love the Skyline 350GT or Infinity G35 here in the states
I love the old school orange display. I miss my old 350z.
First car was a 2004 G35x sedan, crashed It 6 months later and 3 months after that bought a 2004 G35 coupe 6MT and I’ve had I’d for 3 years and it literally apart of my soul at this point. Lots of ups and downs but I love her 🖤
This made me cry with joy.
Back in 2019 i totaled my G35 spent the next 2 years Rebuilding and replacing old parts with upgraded ones and now it’s faster, drives better and looks than before I crashed it lol
Sounds like you rebuilt it right!
I know those back roads all too well. Awesome vid!
Thanks, awesome place to go for a drive
Best review I have seen on the g35/350gt . Well done. I want one !!
Hey, thanks! Not a bad time to get one
