I absolutely love this song, the arrangement of it, the pace of the song, to me, it gives it more emphasis on the story behind it. I love the story as well, it shows love can break through everything. Great job!
I love this song!! :-D I can't wait to sing this next saturday at my concert! ;) I just hope whoever'll direct this doesn't make us sing it this slow cuz I practice with a CD and the tempo on this song was more faster when I was practicing.
We are doing this for our all region piece. It isn't hard, but in a way it is. Take this from someone who has been in music or been studying music for 15 years ( 2 years of age ) it is not about the notes that make it hard it is for sure the timing. If you don't have the right timing than it is not going to work for you. Timing is CRUCIAL in this type of music. Make sure you hold out the notes the correct beats, whole notes get 4 beats, half notes 2 quarter notes gets 1 beat. I know it sounds
like, " that is beginner stuff " but seriously when it comes to music, timing is the key. Once you get the timing you can do anything with the music. Time signature, key signature, accidentals, and make sure you sol fiege your parts when you get them. Very crucial ( not as much as timing ) but that is what you need to learn your notes properly and making sure you have good range with it, and voice control :) I wish you the best of luck on this piece. God bless you all :) Ever need help inbox me
I guess it's just me, I really do not like this song. It sounds utterly depressing, and the words are unintelligible if you don't already know them. Our HS choir did this song at competition, and I thought I didn't like it, so I decided to listen to another choir sing it on here; they sing well, but the song is just awful.

Goosebumps. Beautiful chords.

My director wants to make this piece last about 8 minutes. AHHH. I love this song! BMCEA 2014.
This song is simply beatiful and I love it. Marcus High School Choir was supposed to sing this song and didn't and I kinda wish we did.
Lets hope my chorus class can do this for festival
We are doing this at my school:)

They said "trade her tressy." Its supposed to be "made her tressy" 2:43
Pretty sure that's just the basses saying "tressy" while the rest of the choir says "made".

Like it better at a slower tempo? The length of some of these notes are murderous as is haha. Beautiful song though, and definitely worth the effort.
I would like it better at a slower tempo
