Nah you're fine to record on the online map, hell think about putting your vids up in Streams on the Roguetech Discord and Holo Feeds on the Roguewar discord. The more people showing how the game plays the better. (also your information is generally right on point, I think a bunch of people could do with seeing them)
i like the IDEA of the online map: it makes a single player game interactive with other players. i don't like how it slows down an already slow mod (might be a personal issue). the huge offline map is good enough (huge upgrade from vanilla) i'd like it if they allowed "private" online maps for players to limit the influence of other players to their friends, but that'd create even more issues that the mod devs probably don't care to solve. roguetech is their vision, the online map is probably a technological marvel and it'd be greedy to ask for more.
The fact that they've implemented such a complex system into such a massive map to allow players to indirectly play "together" is amazing. It's important to remember modders don't get paid, so we're just along for the ride while they make Roguetech whatever they envision.
Seen a few of your info vids, looks like lots of good info.... One comment though, the audio on this vid seemed a little low. I had to max my audio even on headphones to hear it comfortably.
Sadly I'm still working on the audio issues. Trying to set aside money for a proper mic setup at the moment and have been more worried about being too loud. Will make sure I'm not too quiet moving forward.
I am still not convinced the on-line map will add anything to my experience other than an even slower game. Don't get me wrong; I love RogueTech (hell it is what the game SHOULD HAVE BEEN on release IMO -- and I was on the Beta), but my God does it load slow!
The online map, in my opinion, doesn't add or subtract from the offline experience. I find it's just a different experience. Personally I'm not a fan of the map drastically changing between the weekly play sessions I am able to have, but enabled it for my Warden Wolves playthrough specifically to fight the clans early. I generally recommend new players to start with the offline map, but it's largely up to personal preference.
Yes, just reconfigure Roguetech through the launcher, but keep in mind once an account has been used on the offline map it seems you are no longer able to impact or receive loot boxes and such from the online mode.
Like your Mech Lab Monday series. This one was a little too much 'from the hip' and rambling for my patience. Suggest that you prepare a script, have tabs already open in your browser and rehearse a bit off camera prior to going live.
I'm sorry you didn't find it helpful. Some do. I sadly am doing this as a hobby and don't have the time to write a script and rehearse, so the rambling guides are the "style" of video that I do by necessity. My wife already hates how much time I spend on YT videos.

I'll definitely look into sharing on the Discords. I'm just glad my videos are helpful to people.

Is it possible to switch to offline once i started the career?
