Hi Justin, I know that this is an old lesson (7 years), but since this is a timeless classic, it doesn’t matter. What does matter; however, is how great your lesson is and how much fun I’ve had learning this amazing song! I always thought that this song was beyond my ability, but you taught it so well that I immediately went for the “fancier” version, and I was looking around for more. You did a wonderful job, and high praise, even if it takes 7 years to receive, is worth the wait (I hope)! Thank you so much. You made my day!
The best guitar teacher we can have on this earth. The best I've come across, n I believe it's the same for many of us. He's by far the best online teacher. How much more fun it wud be sitting in a room with him and learning from him ! Thanks alot Justin. U make things alwys very comprehensible and like the record. God bless u ! The doors are really great !!!
I gave up on guitar some years ago because I just couldn't find a teacher who taught me the guitar theory in a gradual, clear (and motivational) way. Thanks to you website I picked it up again and I'm finally having pleasure progressing and making sense of what I'm doing. Best teacher ever! Keep up the good work ;)
Crazy. This song was played every morning in my High School. I get there early befor school started and it would be playing on our intercom system. And after i graduated . I hitchedhike to California from Pittsburgh Pa. Crazy experience. That was 75. Been learning their music on guitar. Its amazing how much music they have. Dark, mysteriously haunting and beautiful.

I have examined many tabs on that piano intro and your instruction comes out trumps over any tab. While I know there is not always ONE right way to play something, this little "piano" run you showed is a very good exercise on its own.
I remember listening to this tune again and again as a kid... Really interesting stuff, and that was the 60s! The Doors were prog before it was cool :D Thanks Justin!
Love ❤️ the Doors music 🎶 Justin is the king of teaching but Bobby Krieger guitar skills are so complex and difficult too imitate so bluesy but incredible music!!
Thank you Justin, you are a fine teacher, not to technical but sure to the point........counting counting....... super!!! stay SOUND and all the best!!
I accidentally came to this video. I haven't watched Justins classes since forever. But in my early teens, I've learnt to play guitar mostly by his lessons. Good times...
Such great job Justin. So much fun to do the keyboard parts as well. You really learn song structure and arrangement lessons. Thanks You are a great teacher!
Thanks mate, cracking lesson as always;I agree that transcribing a song or just playing the guitar along with it and sussing out the notes for yourself, improves our playing immensely. Thanks again, keep up the good work. A
Have been learning with the JustinGuitar course for 2.5 years now and there is a great lengthy instrumental on this where you can practice the e minor pentatonic scale and just jam along - had so much fun with this already Justin, cheers

Excellent lesson! Now I don't have to try and read the music, or listen and figure it out, to cover this. Definitly requires finger-picking to give it that jazzy feel. Well done!

Stairway to heaven, Sultans of swing, Layla, Crossroads, Purple haze, Hotel california, The thrill is gone and now this one. I have learned all of these classics coz of you. I visit your page, pick a song, practice it for a week and come back for another one. A big thanks from India mate, you're my teacher. A little request for the end by doors, if you can. Thanks again.
