For future buyers, bad news is it still seems to have the same problems. Good news is I was able to fix some of the loose tabbing. Instead of using floor polish out of the bottle, I leave some out and let it evaporate until it gets the around the consistency of honey. I find it is a lot easier to put it exactly in spots you want and don't have to worry about polish running everywhere. A dab in the hole...tab it together for a 15 seconds or so and let it dry up. Depending on if the tab or post is visible, I may wipe it clean and concentrate on creating friction in the tab hole. Because the goo tends to apply thicker the drying times also tends to be longer sometimes.
Fourth-Party has been a thing already for quite some time now. There is a true 4th party in my opinion, but this isn't that, this is a straight up K.O.
Great video and I appreciate the heads up on this product. I'm a fan of Grapple and it seems in this case, official is indeed the better way to go. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
Mine is painted, the shoulders aren't quite as loose as yours but close, chest plates are too tight and the swappable boom ends are loose and slide out. That said, for what I paid, no complaints. Especially when I can tighten some of the issue spots.
My shoulders aren't as bad as yours - but they seem to 'sit' rather than 'tab' in place and can pop out. Just not as easily as yours do! However, i couldn't seem to get the side wheels to tab in for bot mode. Will have to try again after watching this.
Mine was pretty much perfect except for the wheels. Definitely needed another coat of paint. The chest was tight and so were the ratchets. The mileage varies on every figure but mine was near spot on to Takara's.
Seems like moreso than the official stuff, KOs are a constant case of "your mileage may vary". On the other hand, your awesome video grants me a handful of pics that will be useful for painting certain things on the Earthrise Grapple (and no doubt Kingdom Inferno will need similar paint apps applied). But daaamn...now I wanna get the KOs of MP Grapple & Inferno. 😑
Some from eBay, some from Rub & ShowZstore. I have no idea what the deal is with some being unpainted, I can only speculate. Best to read through some more TFW2005 comments, or ask ShowZ directly :)
For a KO is fairly good quality, plus is 80 bucks cheaper. I bought one, my KO does not have the issues with the shoulders not tabbing in correctly, at least that I can notice, the left arm is a bit loose, but that is it.
Like every ok or even name brand you have issues with seems kinda like your the issue or problem to me and nobody I have seen does the crap you do to there mp or ko mp

The term Fourth-Party is going to be a thing eventually, though I like to use it on good KO's like the Infinite Transformations Megatron..

Well what do you know.
Who is the second party? The consumer?

Excellent and concise comparison, thanks! Glad i got the official version of this one.
Fala pessoal!
Queria saber se este KO ainda possui este problema. Um genuíno está custando um rim.
i took out that screw and removed the spring but it still wont lock in place oh well only paid 25 quid for it and it is painted

Lol 😻"Fourth Party Category "...love your videos!❤

I couldn't get the wheels in either without slightly bending the torso left & right. Once one went in, the other was easy.

Is the body painted Orange like Takara?
Nope, looks like it was molded that way. Didn't see any paint strokes, bits or overspray.

Have you tried clamping that piece down and then gluing it into place? Maybe a solvent cement would be best. 🤔
Mine is nearly perfect: no shoulders issue, painting is present on the plastic, nice and stiff joints :) Lucky me!
Which one? The ko or official?
Thanks, you've saved me some disappointment with your informative comparison. I wonder who is selling the painted KO that we hear about at TFW2005...

love the street fighter K.O. keep it,
i don`t care about paint, I prefer sold plastic color, so there won`t be any chipping.
