McCall's M8353 Part 1 Adding Pockets

Made in a kids size 10. These little patterns are so simple that my 10 year old can make them herself.
-Cut out pattern pieces and pin to fabrics.
-fold fabric to cut all 4 pieces equally or trace each piece twice to get 2 of each.
** adding pockets is done before legs are attached to front to back.**
*cut your pockets out, add position markings to pants.
fold in edges, use wonder tape and stitch top before attaching to pant.
*DO NOT close top when stitching to pant.
*proceed with pattern.
-lay right sides together making 2 legs.
-stitch up outer leg seam and inner leg seam
---I turn the hem up and pin it while I am pinning the sides and stitch around them after I have the the edge seams stitched.
----I use a double line straight stitch and a zigzag to close the ends.
-Turn 1 leg inside right and slip it into the other leg.
-match up the seams and crotch notches.
-sew around the center crotch seam and turn both legs inside out.
-fold in the waist line (enough room for elastic), stitch around leaving a small 1 inch opening to insert elastic into.
-turn pants inside right and look adorable.
we used a red space marble cotton fabric but these can be made sized to fit with stretchy fabrics to wear as leggings.
