There needs a youtube video explaining all these different motors and what's best to use for what swaps... from everything all I can think of anymore is just 24v 3.2l amd same with the 2.5l I5 unless I research myself it gets really time consuming but no expert on any of these motors so in depth would be really nice on a UA-cam video from you. Hoping that I post on a old video, you might get to see this lol probably not.
great project bro I'm in the process of buying a mk1 rabbit and am looking into the eurowise conversion myself... I'm currently helping my brother restore a 69 camaro and we opted for lizard skin on the interior for sound deadening it's a very convenient and cleaner option for the dynomat type... we've done a few dynomat builds and this was an amazing alternative
Just came across this and was curious about your intake mani. Did you smooth it before painting it or just paint the stock manifold? Looks really good though, heard it in your newer videos, sounds great too ;)
what parts did you keep from the stock cabriolet engine bay. Did you just take everything out from the cabriolet engine bay and then put the Vr6 conversion kit iand motor in?
Hey I have a mk2 Jetta and I want to vr6 it but I have a question is there a big difference between the vr6 3.2 L from the mk4 r32 and the vr6 3.2L out of the Audi A3 s line of there is any difference i would like to know since I can't find any on vortex and the price difference is about 1000 plus shipping so it would help finish the print faster thanks
KEVIN NAR If there are differences, they are probably minor. Things like coolant pump routing and things bolted to the engine. I would imagine that the ECM tune is different too.
Do you believe that the VR6 engine swap into a Cabriolet is something in the scope of a DIYer (or a couple of them)? I know it's been done often enough to have kits so that helps.
I think it is. There is enough info out there to make it mostly DIY. You can buy almost everything from Eurowise. That's the kit I used. Plus you can always ask me. ;) Or just buy mine. Lol
HumbleMechanic the other thing I have heard is that the heavier engine noticable disrupts weight distribution in such a small car. Have you experienced any of that?

+mtlloyd89 Na Thanks for the advice. I will be doing my GTI with some type of deadener. May give LS a try!

*_I want a Cabriolet._* 🚘
This is awsome! Im just about to put a vr6 in my cabby also. Do you have a build guide at all??
not as of right now. I am actually still working on the car. I may write one at some point.

Ali Ozdemir most everything in the bay is from a 1998 GLX Jetta. I kept the Cabby power steering pump, and a few other things.

Did you used the harness from eurowise too? And are you using the mk1 or the electrical pedal?
For the gas pedal what are you using, my bad i didnt explain myself very well
did you use the whole eurowise kit or just the motor mounts?
+William Pullen I used the install kit, and the front bracket. The header was custom, but I did use their "cat back: exhaust.
