The Dodgers have 10 starters: Glasnow, Yamamoto, Paxton, Kershaw, Stone, Buehler, Miller, Gonsolin, May, Sheehan. (11 if you throw in Knack.) At any given moment, 5-ish are healthy. Yamamoto's out but Kershaw and Miller are coming back. This is how it always is.
It’s usually worse look at last yr. This year they are in a way better spot.
Gonsolin, Sheehan are done for the year for sure. Gonsolin will be ready at the start of spring training 2025 . Sheehan will be out till 2026. May has a chance of returning this season but since he’s went through his 2nd major surgery last year they probably don’t rush him back this year instead following a similar path as Gonsolin. Having May relax this year and come back fresh at the start of spring training next year.
@@hepatitiscyalater7269 Personally I think May would make a great closer. His stuff is electric. Not sure his arm will withstand the toll of a starter's innings.
@@user-qp6wm4bg1i He could be a great closer. But the Dodgers and him will probably want to try him again as a starter. Upside of him staying healthy as a starter more intriguing than a reliever. Then May himself probably wants to stay as a starter to set himself for a pay day. Seeing what Crochet is doing now probably adding more hope for both himself and the dodgers that it could work out
They don't even have 5
Jack Flaherty is whom I was thinking of during this entire conversation. He'll be heavily sought after at the deadline...
what about jp sears ?
I like him, I was wanted the Ms to trade for him last deadline
LA would need to present Jerry D with one hell of a package if they want Miller or Woo.....I could see LA and The M's doing something that involves Emerson Hancock though.
You didn't hear the news tonight huh? Hancock got pulled in the 5th after feeling something in his arm after a pitch. Seattle won't be trading a pitcher.
I think they need bats even more than P
Seattle, having a "ton of pitching" is one of the biggest myths of the 2024 season. Hancock and Jonhathon Diaz are all they have as depth and Hancock was pulled tonight after feeling something in his arm. And trusting a guy like Logan Evans, who has not pitched above AA and has been switched to the pen to help shore up Seattle's BP depth, is foolish. Seattle has a very good rotation. I guess it is five deep in very good pitchers. However, If 2 go down, they are in a world of hurt.
Pretty sure Yamamoto did take Bobby’s spot as No2.starter.
Yeah wtf was he talking about
If anything, Mariners may be looking for a starter soon. Woo is extremely limited and the health concerns are very real. Hancock isn’t a proven major leaguer yet and he just exited AAA game with an injury anyway.
FWIW.
Surprised none of the guys mentioned Jack Flaherty.
Dodgers need 💙 an Elite Outfielder before a starting pitcher!
Actually, we need a shortstop first. Then just get any old innings eater, like another James Paxton type cheeseball.
Buehler aint the same without the icky sticky.
Glasnow could go down any day.
Kersh/Miller aren't going to eat innings.
Yamamoto is out for a while.
Stone is solid.
Knack is nothing special.
The Dodgers could repeat last year's disaster. They need more SP.
You mean a guy that's missed 2 years isn't the same through 8 starts? Moron
These guys don't pay attention to the Dodgers lol. Glasnow consistently goes 6 or 7, Yamamoto has pitched better than Bobby has at any point in his career, and they absolutely have enough minor league depth who've had success in the majors to eat innings
Was coming to the comment section to say this. Glasnow is top-five in innings pitched.
Trevor Bauer
Manfraud won't allow it
That man was stoned to death by the free of sin, righteous, holier than thou crowd.
Sorry no one wants that sperg
Ha Woo isn’t getting traded you guys are acting like Seattle is a mid team fighting for a WC spot. They are 9 up in the west just like the Dodgers lol
