For 1920s I think it's sometimes good to see the silhouette from the perspective of it being an intentional "antifashion" choice at the time; the drop waist and loose fit was a look that everyone at the time knew was not "flattering" but the focus, or the "vibe" was centered on other things; the dresses were meant to be simple to assemble for the home sewer (the one hour dress) and there was a lot of attention on the idea of the "modern woman" wanting her clothes to be easy throw-on, easy throw-off. A lot of publications suggest there was still a heavy focus on the quality of the materials, or the small details, but the 1920s had a heavy emphasis on "finding" or trying to trail-blaze towards what the idea of who the new "modern" woman might be in a new "modern" world full of electricity, cars, typewriters, stock markets and mass-scale communication (radio, talkies, affordable personal cameras and home radios / record players). This new modern woman would want her clothes ready-to-wear from the store and more affordable, or she'd want their construction to be fast and simple on her new electric sewing machine; it needed to allow for dancing, sports and some tom foolery. The older generations bemoaned the shape and overall appearance of the 1920s; saying it simply wasn't worth looking unflattering as a trade-off to more mobility and freedom. How dare fashion become fast, accessible and not consume all your idol hours to make!

Definitely, I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, I did do a collab with Zapaka in 2019 and here's the link for my blog review bleu-avenue.blogspot.com/2019/12/angel-with-blue-dress-on.html

This is such a helpful video. Thank you for taking the time to make a thorough, informative review of each piece! I just placed an order for a dark green plaid fishtail dress for Christmas and a red bow cinch belt, cant wait to do a pinup Christmas look!

Hi - new your videos, thanks so much for reviewing this brand. I have been on the fence about ordering some new clothes from them, but based on your experience it looks like the quality is really nice!
I was wondering if you would mind letting me know a little more about the size? Have you ever ordered from Lulus before? If so, would you compare the 2 to an XS?
    I am 5'0 // 115 // 32D and I am always nervous about fit with new brands...

Hello and thanks for watching! I have never ordered from Lulus but I would say their sizing is True To Size. I wear a Size 0 or XXS, so their size 2 was a little loose like a 2-4.
