I don’t know why it didn’t post the first half of my comment, but I was agreeing with you that Ash and Gary fight way too much to have it be actual hatred. I don’t know what most people do, but when I find someone I really don’t like, I don’t go out my way to talk to them and let them know where I am and what I am doing; I simply ignore them! XD Gary went out of his way to always let Ash know where he was and what he was doing, and it was always specifically Ash. Professor Oak said that there

I will thank you! ^_^ True, for two people who supposedly hated each other, both Ash and Gary seemed to think a lot about each other. Gary in particular always seemed to go out of his way to do something that would get Ash riled up, thus getting Ash to pay attention to him. I wished they had replaced Brock with Gary instead of that green haired guy for the Best Wishes series! Such a wasted opporunity!

XD I know I speaking old school here, but my favorite team was Brock, Misty and Ash (and then Gary and Ash could have gone and do their own thing together later.) I didn’t like how Gary was made into a nice, polite researcher like his Grandfather. He’s Gary for crying out loud! He needs to be a smartass battler! Tracey was ok, I guess, but I pretty much hated everybody else, lol.
