I do lawn care work with a guy and he has an 06 cat eye duramax that would be pretty cool to have as a lawn care truck and not to mention he also has two zero turns and you can’t even tell there’s a trailer behind the truck
Pretty sure to go from a long bed to a short bed you'd have to cut the frame in the middle for it to work. Couldn't just take it off the back cause the axle and frame wouldn't line up right. Almost 100% on that. Almost. But like I've said before it's amazing how little you know about these trucks

Dually Looks Good! But, I'd still have gone tandem axle trailer..... then if you blow a tire, your not stuck at the side of the road changing it! I'd also agree, use the Ford as the Lawn Care truck.... you'll trash the interior and exterior of the dually jumping in and out so often while sweaty & dirty!! But, Good Luck... it's your choice - your money!

The lugs are actually glued on the new wheels that they are putting on the nascar that way they don't have to keep up with lugs. So don't give up on that dream man!

I'm confused. If the 97 is a chopped down long bed frame the center section would have to be shortened. The amount of bed in front of the tire on a long bed is much more than a short bed. Also, it couldn't have been a regular cab long bed originally as far as I know because those frames arent the same as an extended cab short bed. What am I missing? Regardless its a freaking sweet truck!
Originally I wasn’t sure how I felt about you going with those wheels because I don’t really like chrome. However, now that I have seen them on the truck I definitely like the setup you went for and I think chrome actually suits they truck very well!
the wheel base is longer on a 8 foot long bed if that is what that was at one time you can't just cut the back of the frame off and slap a short bed on there....i had a 97 3/4 ton ex cab with a short bed they made a lot of them ...short WB is 138 inches and the long WB is 155 inches with the extended cab on both ... anyway love the new wheels and tires

Why not use the 7.3 as the lawn care truck ? Just put a wooden flatbed on it or a cheap metal and have a dry box for the tie down straps/chains

I bought a 16' when I started, and needed 18 within a few months, bigger is better with trailers, just like you do with trucks
The white 24v w utility bed would b a great work truck and taking off spacers off was such a improvement.

I had a single axle 14’ trailer, then upgraded to a tandem axle 14’ trailer. I like it way better than the single axle.

I think a 12 wide on the front looks better than the 10 wide. But hay it looks good.
The 2nd gen would have to have been shortened in front of the rear axle because that is where the length of the long bed is
pretty good...but there's Japanese guy in tokyo..with a FORD f-350 WITH AMERICAN FORCE 24" wheels which looks awesome and beats your Ram hands down
