A Father-Sons Trip on the Camino de Santiago Portuguese Route

In September I met my dad and brother in Portugal and hiked 16 days, 164 miles (264 km), and 500,000 steps from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, my second Camino and their first. This is our Portuguese Camino adventure.

It was the FEIRAS NOVAS festival in September and it was in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. We were told it's the largest folk festival in Portugal, and that rooms were going to be hard to book last minute as we were walking through the area. They were, it was busy, but it was fun to experience the festival for one night! It looks like the 2024 festival is September 4-9.
