Sounds like a great deal bro. If you was being cautious with your money you could easily live off your pension. So, lots off opportunity to have a nice lifestyle with additional funds. Your dental and hospital service was fantastic, which you dont get at home. Put the weather on top and it's a nice life!
I know longer have health insurance has i returned to uk in April but aa insurance in pattaya i found to be about the best but thai health insurance is expensive for what you get i paid 75000 bt aged 65 with a couple of minor pre existing conditions.

At 68 I know there will be exclusions and a relatively high cost, yeh if you divide the cost into 12 and add to you rent then it’s super cheap, let’s say it’s 1,500 uk pounds, that round make rent & insurance still under £500 a month.

So am I right in saying accommodation inc utilities and deposit (which you may not get back, depending on landlord) around £6k GBP for the year. Food, clothes, at about £1.3k for the year? The rest looks like optional (Vespa, watches)…but you/“the royal we” would have to pay for transport somehow…. So if I had a budget of around £18k-£22k per year I could live very comfortably….does that include female company every now and then?
@@KieranWxm lol, thanks mate. So I’ve listed the individual costs in description. Yearly rent, utility’s and no deposit back is 5.5k. Bolt taxis are so cheap, i can get from Pattaya to Jomtien at 3am in the morning for £2.40. Yes it includes company, your budget you could live like a king
The bottom line guys if your money makes more then you spend or your money stays same level that’s ok it will see you out , over 55 your money is not about growth it’s about dividends or spending the money that the money made , your in that world you can live 1000 years If you spend and your life saving are dropping 40 /60 k Australian then you will go broke with your half million in about 13 years give or take Super fund or etf live off dividends

But you dont live 1000 years. Some people might not want to die with a load of money in the bank if they cant leave it to anyone. For some, it's better to cross the finish line with nothing. The problem is not knowing how long you'll live.

I live outside of nakon ratishima(korat),, got a 2 bedroom bungalow 3500 baht a month, outside the tourist area its crazy cheap, doubt i spend much more than 20, 000 a month..good luck. 👍

Be more interested in your second years expenses. As its always expensive setting up home. Next years will be a more accurate figure.
