I am a digital artist, but apsolutly love watching art studio cleaning vlogs 😂 We also sometimes have a lot of old works in a program, and brushpacks we buy but never use that need to be deleted. Anyways this was really relaxing. ❤
You could get some plastic bins that slide under the bed to store old sketchbooks, maybe one that will fit under some clothes in the closet, or maybe a relative has an attic area in their family home. I store my old sketchbooks/drawings in a plastic bin in my closet under the shirts.
Oooh, I love your animal art so much, they are that wonderful balance of realism and expressive (and adorable, of course!) ❤ No matter the art material, your art style always shines through strongly. (and I need to get myself a stencil like that...)
my god Emily, you are AMAZING!!!!! I mean you are my inspiration i even could say my artistic idol hahah your art amazing, your videos amazing and you are so beautiful and i am sure you are an amazing person! I really love this vlog format i think it could be cool if you will do it again. Now i feel so inspired my all that artistic flow haha i am an artist too who dreaming to be full time artist and you are a huge inspiration of that one little soul in this world - me 🥰 thank you for making content for us
I love this vlog format, I would love seeing more! Also I am always amazed at the way you use colors. I would've never thought of putting green and beige pink on a cat but somehow you always make it work! This is really fascinating to me because I am still a the begining of learning color theory, I hope to become as good as you with colors!
Ah I'm so glad you like this format! It's different, but very fun to make 😊 My best advice for learning color theory is to always have a color wheel handy, and also to try very limited palettes of complementary or tertiary colors. Eventually you will start bringing these things into your work without really thinking about it (like how I brought pink and green into the cat portrait) 🩷
@@emhuesart those are the best ones. I find you can appreciate your art more that way too because it separated you from it as "the artist" and you stop looking at it as a painting you did and more like scrap paper or a sticker and then it feels more like you're looking at a piece of art that someone else did.
I LOVED YOUR OIL PASTEL TECHNIQUE!!!!!!!❤ I feel so inspired. Watching you place ur strokes was incredible, I really appreciate how painterly it was. It was like you painted it with a square brush.
Ooh I think you're right about that! 😂 I'd love to learn how to loosen up with watercolor, it's going to take a while to turn off my gouache brain haha ❤️
U are unreal at watercolor!!!!! Holy craps!. I'm obsessed with your art and your art style. Going to binge on your videos now lol. So amazing!!!!!!!!💖 this is why I still have not made a art channel yet. My art looks like a child's work, maybe worse, after seeing artists like you. Just unreal!!!!💖 Taryn
I definitely will! Some of those sketchbooks are VERY very old, so the sketches aren't great 😅 but I think it would be interesting for people to see! Thanks for watching! ❤️
I love seeing your drawing process! The colors and everything you use is amazing 😭💖 I was wondering if you could ever do a mini tutorial or explanation on how to learn to draw and identify shapes, for example like those cat and dogs sketches you made! The shapes are chef’s kiss 🌷 tysm!
Omg I love this sm! Your watercolor paintings are so beautiful, I love the way you use them! I hope in the future you’ll post more watercolor videos 🥹💕
also i love the subtle variations in color with the oil pastel cat, this is of course something ive expressed several times now but your use of color never fails to inspire me !
I ordered that palette from Amazon many many years ago! I believe they've changed their palette packaging for this set since then. I also replaced two of the colors in the set with lavender and lilac (also white nights.) I bought those two colors individually from a local art store (they were on clearance as they decided to no longer carry the brand)
Hey Emily, I am looking forward to your live session 😊. Is it a paint along ? Can you give references for preparing the drawings ? Thanks and good luck to you, Anke
I don't understand getting rid of old sketchbooks - it feels a bit like getting rid of old journals, to me! They are visual diaries of your growth! Keep them... 🙂
I feel this way a bit too, but I just have so many and they take up a lot of space 😅 I also hope to fill many more! I was thinking if I filmed them, I'd have a record of them to look back at. I will most likely keep all of them except for the reallyyy old ones. Those can become new paper 👀🩷

Neat how you got away with green and orange in the eyes. I never would have thought of that color combination. looks great.
I always love your videos 💞 btw I hope you never get rid of your sketchbooks! They’re a treasure ! Imagine leafing though them in 20 years time 🥰
Thank you so so much! 💖 The sketchbooks I'm talking about are 10 years old and very very ugly hehe 🫣

@@emhuesart Thank you for the advice 😊
07:56 I genuinely let out a big 'wooooow!' when I saw the eyes, they look stunning!! Color Magician Emily doing her thing once again ;)
Hehe thank you!! ❤️ I love drawing/painting cats because they seriously have the most magical eyes 😳✨
Do you remember the name of that idea art cabinet? I loooove the long drawers ❤️
I just got my first oil pastels the other day and am soooo inspired by your portrait. I can’t wait to keep playing with them!!
Ooh amazing!! Have fun! 💖
You could also use your okd sketches for scrapbooking and journaling ❤
Yes! Definitely! Many of my old sketches are very rough though 😂❤️

You make me want to break out my oil pastels 😊
You seem to use watercolours like gouache, they also have a similar outcome in the end xd Im the opposite xd

It's your fish!! Thank you for buying the little guy 💛 I'm so glad it brings you joy!
Omg I am so interested where do u get white nights? Because it is russian brand of watercolors and other stuff..
Sidenote but Russians are best artists 😊 I did not try that brand tho. They are good?

Hey there! I'm sorry it wasn't a paint along, but I hope you enjoyed! ❤️
The 'cat' artwork is absolutely gorgeous
Love the kitty in oil pastels! And those frenchies were really cute❤
Thank you Lyssa! ❤️

True lol
