Mike, you weren't kidding ! what an amazing video ! I've seen Dumaguete videos for over a year, and haven't seen those fabulous places before. I was amazed at the geothermal hillside. That's a huge amount of energy!
Dumaguete and the complete parts of Negros Oriental has really its own unique natural flair, lots of waterfalls, beautiful high green mountains, Volcano, hot springs and lots of beaches and resorts to visit. Maybe incluse Canlaon City also in your travel list, also Bacong, Dauin. Maybe you will find your future second home :-) Negros Oriental is full of natural resources and here is not yet so expensive to live then you have closer access to many other Islands like Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, in Mindanao to visit Dapitan City, Cagayan de oro, Davao etc...

Putting that on my list of places to see. Victoria secret bag with ,looks like tools from Canadian Tire. What drone do you use? Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
Nail fungus, what worked for me... I used a pumice stone and ground the nail down paper thin. Then I soaked it in 4/1 water to bleach for 10 min. twice a day for a week. Tree oil a common fungus treatment doesn't work because it can't soak down to the fungus through the nail, but maybe would work after grinding nail thin. I have no idea if I could have soaked my nail less than 2X a day and for a week and it still would have worked. Toenail fungus gets its start by wearing shoes too tight and wearing without socks.
@ThatPhilippinesLife. That was what was amazing to me about that lovely nail tech who treated me just once in Philippines. I had been running & fell with my foot going into an uneven pavement & my foot & toes were kinda crushed, pretty bad actually. All swollen top of my foot and my toes. The big toe hurt like the dickens. But amazingly she manipulated my foot & did some stuff with the nail (didn’t remove all the nail, but part; & truthfully I didn’t feel any pain. It was kinda unbelievable to me. I am not stoic. & like I wrote in my first comment about this on the prior video, Michael, here in USA nail techs can’t do anything like that. You have to see a podiatrist or MD or chiropractor.
Ty to Sir Alex for sharing his family history. To me it is like that place that waterfall is a kind of relative of his, too. Like Mama waterfall as instrumental in saving his father’s life. Ad majorem Dei gloriem.

The Palinpinon geothermal plant in Valencia had been operating in many decades. It supplies geothermal electricity to other islands e.g., Cebu, Iloilo even part of Luzon. This island is very rich in resources, untapped gold, silica and other minerals…no doubt oil too. Some day they’ll find the black gold.
It’s lovely you featured these places part of the Metro Dumaguete area. There’s more of Dumaguete- where we shop, dine on occasions then back to our serene peaceful private world less than an hour away. Another great vlog Micheal! Hope your toe gets better.
I been lazy last 2 years in Nashville. I'd have to build up to be able to cycle up that hill. The trick to cycling in the Philippines is to leave before daylight, then head back when the Sun is coming out and getting warm. When I cycled to Tanay I timed it to arrive there when Jollibee opened at 6, get breakfast then cycle home. Going to Valencia was my shortest ride and only half is up hill. LOL I'd cycle 35-40 KM. Going North or South along the coast I'd cycle 75-90 KM. Rainy days I'd cycle Behind Airport past all the Sibulan Resorts, often several trips around, then scoot home if raining hard. D Corner Bikeshop is the Best in Dumaguete, but I'd buy a bike in Cebu...@@ThatPhilippinesLife
🚌🦶 🏥. You should change your thumbnail to your toenail. FYI, there are multiple geothermal power stations in the vicinity. Unfortunately, Cebu built them and has dibs on the power. Thus, the frequent brownouts in Duma. Lastly, put a dressing over that toe. You're in the tropics and the bacterial load and composition are much greater than you are used to in Canada. It's going to get infected if you are walking around outside in the rain with it exposed

The hilltop overlook in your video is absolutely amazing. What a find. Regarding your foot, please seek out a podiatrist regarding it as they can X-ray and can get you a soft or hard boot which you may very well need to expedite healing.
Thank you, I spent about 3 nights this week walking the boulevard, been to the coffee shops and bars but my timing isn't always the same I guess. I haven't met a single vlogger in both trips here.
