Hey coach, I wanna tryout for qb next year (freshman). I’v never played qb but I’ve been working at it. So are coverage breakdown a good place to start?
@@doritog0d647 Dang this was so long ago, I never tried out because there were lots of people better then me and I wouldn't get any playing time. Also since high school was getting more demanding I decided it would be best to just focus on other things, but yeah. But good luck!
@@AF-bp9hg hey, don't worry if they're better than you, the good people don't care about who's better then them. Even though you know they're better train more. I hope you make the team!
Usually a lack of hip rotation and a wild front elbow. Because QBs will have a wide base or an over stride they won’t rotate at their hips. So their source of power comes from their front elbow/ they rip it down which causes the release to be pushed high and that can almost make you look like a pitcher coming down on the ball
wow this is the greatest mechanics video i’ve ever seen man definitely don’t get enough credit kudos
Appreciate that bro! Hope the channel can give you some value
Good stuff coach!
Appreciate you man thank you!
Thanks so much coach❤
No problem at all, hope this could help!
Can you help me with more mechanics?

hey coach, quick question: What comes first : The Shoulder with the ball, or the hip. You once said, ... chaising the ... and i cant remember.
Hip comes first! Great question
@@firstdowntraining thanks coach! Keep it up!
yo Coach, any receivers you know that always build off their releases in game? I’m tryna watch film on such
Davante Adams, Diggs, and Keenan Allen
should we also rotate with our upper body and shoulders?
Yes slightly but for the most part you want to keep your hips and shoulders parallel to the target
What drills help with this for youth?
Checkout our QB playlist on this channel we have a ton that you can use
What's the #1 reason that causes QBs to throw balls low? I'm talking into the ground before it gets to WR..

I am a backup, but I want to be the starter but have to beat the present starter
