If it's due to aerodynamics, I'm sure that some bodywork could solve some of that problem (especially if you can get a front-mount Procharger on it to reduce the amount of flat surfaces sticking out in the wind). Could also offset the bodywork by doing a short wheelbase car (considering as far as I see from the 2015 rulebook I found you could have a FED with a minimum of 150" for wheelbase)...

SabreMetalPanzer twas a speed flop, front engine dragsters just can't run as fast as rear engine, but they are cooler tho
