Randy Harrigan No doubt! Seen and heard PJ live 6 times and Eddie stole my heart with his soulful performances and his voice!! Eddie is a beautiful man!!
@@duncanmusic5559 Yeah, Pearl Jam had more of a blues/Hendrix influence. Nirvana had a punk influence. Alice in Chains had a hair metal influence. They are quite unique. Can pretty much identify a PJ song in about 5 seconds most of the time. The 90’s produced some incredible bands, pearl jam sit at the main table with the best of them.

One of the finest drummers of our time. This opinion was released the first time I heard Jesus Christ Pose, wherein the entire song is basically a fill. Cameron to me is the modern day Stewart Copeland. Soundgarden and PJ worlds apart drumming wise. There is nothing the man cannot play on drums.
Matt Cameron is one of my favorite drummer of all time but he doesn't quite fill well in PJ in my opinion... Dave Abbruzzese was the best drummer PJ ever had

Agreed! Matt killed the song! The drum was way off. Dave A.'s version was way much better. Matt's drumming was pedestrian. How could Pearl Jam just settled for this??? 1:15 ... what is that???

If you're saying that even flow is considerably a reason they would pass as some form of hard rock, they are still a well balance of straight rock in general with some slightly heavy sound...
Im convinced vedder is definitely one of the best live vocalists there is
Randy Harrigan IKR, LIKE TEN YEARS LATER AND HE PERFORMS IT BETTER THAN THE STUDIO VERSION
Agreed 1000000%
He has much soul and that will carry him far ahead.
Randy Harrigan No doubt! Seen and heard PJ live 6 times and Eddie stole my heart with his soulful performances and his voice!! Eddie is a beautiful man!!
Very close unto the album version... 93/94 - way back into memory lane...
In studio too
One of the few songs where the rhythm guitar really out shines the solo.
I've seen them twice. Eddie Vedder is unbelievable live. Within seconds he has you in the palm of his hand.
They managed to escape grunge i believe and had their own very very distinctive sound..what a band
true Grunge
Meh, get what you say, but Grunge was a scene, not really a sound. There was so much diversity in that scene. Almost eclectic.

Back in the day when Reading was still a credible rock festival. I was there watching this.
How in the world can you love this band and be connected so deeply and just throw it away. Go ahead and like this comment as well. Nicole

Sávio Lopes fokin tough times everywhere! I’m in puerto rico and it also sucks. Greece, spain, uk, florida, texas...all over!

Dave A until he was fired. He was the engine behind PJ. Listen to this same song in 92 or 93 with him on drums
Yes totally

Always home but so far away
