Used this for my 2010 Toyota Camry. Just programmed a replacement key this morning for my 2014 Toyota Corolla that my teenager lost. I rented a programer for my 2017 Toyota Camry SE. It worked great. My original key didn't have a built-in remote. So I purchased a new key w/ built in remote and rented the programmer. Took about 2 mins to program the new key and the remote. And I got the key cut for free at Home Depot. The dealership quoted me about $350 for a new keyed remote. I think I spent about 90 bucks total using Tom's.
This is the best! Saved tons of money. Total with my 2 keys, programmer from Tom's Key company and going to locksmith to get keys cut, I paid few dollars short of $100! That's for 2 keys! As many people know you don't know a good company from a great one UNTIL THINGS GO WRONG... this was the case with my order. I received my order and had to wait until the weekend. I opened the order and found it was one key/remote short. I have to say the programming is as easy as it could be with written instructions in the box and links to the video that walked me through each step. So the only problem was the shortage. I wrote an Email on Sunday evening and had a response in Monday mornings Email. They realized the mistake and set the key out right away. Think I received it on Wednesday but thanks to having kids the car was not available until the weekend. This time in setting up the second key/remote, I must have made a mistake but the instructions addressed this too. I reset everything and tried again. Worked like a charm... I highly recommend this to anyone, even with no real auto experience it has been made easy and straight forward...

Programming the key and remote allowed me to save lots of $$$. I was able to program 2 keys easily. Their Customer Service is superb. They respond quickly and they help you if you encounter any issues. I paid $10 per key to get cut. Did have a little hard time to find someone local to cut it but because they were already programmed, it was not worth their time. Found someone close to work and was very helpful.
I used this video and programmer for my 2009 Toyota Camry. I had only one key and the plastic had broken so I could not keep a house key with it. After watching the video one more time before going to the car, I was confident in what needed to be done. The programmer came with written instructions that guide you through the steps shown in the video. The entire process of programming a new key took about 2 minutes. The local Ace Hardware cut the new key for $7.50 The folks at Tom's shipped quickly. The transaction was smooth and the process proceeded just as described in the video. I was trying to covert my standard OEM key for my Camry to a flip key that I bought off of EBay. I was successful in programming the remote functions but unsuccessful programming the key. Even though it did not work 100%, I was very satisfied with this service. They were very responsive to my emails and issued a credit for my deposit. This thing worked A-amazing! Really great product and service. I bought two keys off Amazon that I used a Toyota Smart Keymaker on initially fir the transponder, and that turned on new indicator in my Camry. I ordered this to program the remote functions, which it did perfectly, but it also seems to have somehow turned off that (orange key in a car) indicator in the process.

this worked very well, they shipped it fast and the whole thing worked well, keep in mind there are two steps in programming. one for the key and one for the remote . the instructions on this video is for the key only, and paper that comes with the package talks about the Remote.

I did run into trouble programming the key because I must have been using a valet key instead of a master key, but once I got the master key, I got it to work! I emailed them my issues and they helped me figure it out very quickly!

I have Toyota Camry 2017 , I went to dealer and Locksmith both told me $185 key and program. When I saw on UA-cam First I didn’t believe ,but I took a chance I order for $44 plus $80 Refund deposit from Tom’skey. Man it works. 👍i saved $140

Best method ever. I even bought the keys from amazon, just rent the device from Tom's to program my girl's Toyota 2014 Camry. She bought the car without remote, only one key. So I bought another two keys with remote and programmed them easily with the device.

I have rented the programming device and bought a key for my Toyota Corolla 2013. Very easy instructions and straightforward procedure. I ordered the key and programmer for my 2008 Camry. I only had one key and the dealership wanted an arm and a leg to program a second key! Received it quickly but the previous owner told me they found the second key and would get it to me. So I contacted Tom’s key and they said just to send it back and get a full refund! Tom’s key service is awesome. Very quick to respond and delivery time is fast. Btw I tried all those program your own key DIY style to no avail finally realizing I had ordered the wrong key off eBay (my key has little dot stamped in it) you may have ordered right year and make but it needs to also have the right "stamp" on it too. Skip all the hassle ,skip the stress of only having one key and no need to spend hundreds at the stealership! Now if I ever lose a key I will contacting Tom’s Key Co. first!

Rented remote and bought the key from Tom's - worked great on a 2015 Toyota Rav4. If I were to do it again, I would also have them just cut the key before sending as opposed to making an additional local trip to a locksmith.

Rented a programmer from Tom’s Key Company and bought a key from eBay. I followed these instructions and it worked like a charm! I have two fully functioning keys now.

We needed a duplicate key for our 2005 Lexus RX330, and it was easy to program both the key and the remote buttons. I would recommend Tom's Key Company if you need a replacment key. They worked hard to get my order right.

Had the key cut for free at my local Lowes here in the US. Depending on who is working they may make you purchase a blank to get yours cut, but it still is cheap and they have locations everywhere.

Got a key for my 2007 Tacoma. The first time I tried to program it, it didn't work and I think it's because I plugged in the programmer before the car stopped beeping after I turned it to the on position. When I tried it the second time and waited till the beeping stopped after I turned the key to the on position it programed perfectly, just like they said it would. I'm very happy and I know I saved a lot of money. I will use Tom's again if I need a key.

I bought their blank key and rented their device for my 2014 Camry in order to replace my lost car key. Their customer service is top notch. I'd use this service again as this is a growing company that really wants to provide excellent customer service. Be aware of the time limit needed to complete many of the steps (included in the detailed written instructions they send with your order) because if you don't the programming will fail. Please make it clear that written directions are for ignition programming, not fob button programming. Will definitely recommend to others. So far I haven’t come across a better cost effective option for dubbing my car keys.

I have an 05 corolla and I've tried the other remote programming guide (open door, close door, open door, close door, etc) several times in every variation I have seen in videos here on YT, nothing has worked. Do I need to rent this programming device to properly program my remotes since I can't get any of them programed to my car?

In your video at 1: 30 in , you demonstrated that the security light kept blinking thus showing it was not a valid key. Is the security system detecting it was a non valid key because it is the wrong style (example dot vrs G) or because it hadn't been programmed yet? Was the key you programmed the same key as the "non valid key". Thanks ahead.
Yes, the key inserted at 1:30 was the key being programmed in this video. At 1:30 it is before the key is programmed so the vehicle did not recognize the chip as authorized to slow the car to start. I believe that vehicle used at "G" chip key. Whatever chip the originalworking key was, it was the same type chip in the new key being programmed
Looking on your website for a key for my 2016 Camry and I don't see a key for HYQ12BDM H chip. You only show this key Toyota Camry & Corolla Key and Remote ("H" Chip Key with 4 Button Keyless Entry Remote FOB) HYQ12BEL-4B-H. I'm assuming this is not the right key, right? One more question if you will, How many keyless entry remote fobs can I make without the transponder. My old key works just won't lock or unlock doors.

Unfortunately, no way that we know. But, the TSL-2 programmer has ability to erase lost keys, so you could order that programmer instead of the TSL-1. Contact help@tomskey for assistance.
Tried it on a 2012 rav4 but the security light won’t turn solid after the fast beeping, so the key won’t start the car. Any suggestions?

Can you reprogram an original key I lost it, get a new key set up without the other features like dook and trunk unlock, the found the original. It turnes in the car, but won't start it. What would you recommend?

If the keys are correct for your vehicle, our programmer will work for you. Occasionally some sellers have junk keys, but most are good.
Is there one for a 2006 Volvo S60 key?
Ok thanks, one last question. I have found out that my 2010 camry key fob has 2 chips, one for the doors, trunk ect and one which is an immobilizer. The immobilizer will allow the engine to turn over when you put the key in, but the car won't start. Does your product program both of the chips at one time? Thanks ahead.
I believe you have some incorrect information. I’ve never seen or heard of any car having 2 transponder chips in a key. Yes, separate electronics to lock/unlock the door via remote fob buttons with a chip that is for the immobilizer. The video demonstrates programming both. If somehow you have a key with something different from this I don’t have any clue what it would be. If it’s a push button start vehicle we have a separate programmer for that.

With Toyota you program first. Then the red light confirms it's programmed. Then you cut it.
I don’t have a original car remote key. Right now I have a normal key with transponder chip. I don’t think it’s original key.

These guys are uncommon in the car racket. I couldnt complete the programming correctly and they refunded me in full no questions asked. Probably my fault. Their service is worth the money. I wouldnt hesitate to use them on my other car.
Programmed a new fob and now the trunk keeps popping open when I press the buttons for the doors. But only does it after the doors work normally at first.

There is no risk to this. My car would not go into programming mode. I described this to Mike, who advised that the car was at the maximum number of keys. I returned it for a full refund.

Explain to me. The uncut key is programmed but the lock and unlock does not work
The key chip requires programming. Then the remote part to lock/unlock the doors requires the second part of the procedure. Key must be cut before it will start the engine. Unfortunately no. Toyota requires a master key to be able to make another key. If you can get a locksmith or Toyota dealer to make a new master key, then you can rent the programmer to make another master key.

I’ve got a key programmer from amazon and I was able to program the transponder just fine, but when I try to program the remote I don’t get the second longer beep after opening the door. Any clue why or advice?

How about if you don't have a working key? Both my original keys don't open or close the doors. What can I do?
Can they turn on the cart to drive it? If so, ensure you have a master key (not valet). Email help@tomskey.com to find out how to know difference if you need. If you have a master key that drives the car, you can make new keys including to lock/unlock the door. (as long as the car was factory equipped with remote lock/unlock feature. )
@@TomahawkDIY yes both my keys are master keys, but the alarm/ locking/unlocking of both keys stopped working . First I thought it was the battery but we changed that and it didn't work. But one of my keys used to open and lock the doors, but it stopped working.

Check if the red light on the dashboard shows your key is valet or master. If master you can use it to make a new one with remote
Will this work in my case I lost my original key & paid someone to come out and get me a new key and programmed the new one so they deleted the original key. Well 1 ur later i lost the replacement key & found my original but the original key buttons only unlock/locks the car when I put the key into the ignition to turn it on it will crank but won’t turn over… please help!!

I didn't have a master key, I just had a transponder key, they couldn't cut it at Lowe's. Ace Hardware was useless. I went to a Fob car key place and ordered a key, they cut it and program the car. $253. Toyota charges 250-500$. Toyota Corolla 2016
Hi, one master key is required to Program additional keys. You probably need to get a locksmith or car dealership to make one key. If they want to charge a bunch for a 2nd, we can help you get a spare. Email help@tomskey.com so we can better assist you.
