I used to love watching Prisoner when I was younger. In Scotland, you had Married With Children at 10.30 then Prisoner at 11pm. As we had school in the morning, my dad never allowed my sister and I to stay up and watch them so we would pretend to go to bed then when the coast was clear, put the TV on with one of us always beside the plug so we could turn it off quickly if we heard one of them come out the living room. We thought we had got away with it but years later, our mum admitted she had always known we were watching it but never said anything to our dad.
I’m in the Uk, my nan got me to It, i always remember, Bea, Doreen, Lizzie and Chrissy and Reb, i’m sure it was on a Thursday at 10:30 and then at a later time and i was always late for school as i stayed up, i have just finished the series on youtube and now i’m watching it again
@@darrenhunt9049 I can remember laying across my Mum's legs and watching it late at night. Dad would be in bed by then and would say "you don't watch that rubbish do you?" when we talked about it, "no, of course not Dad" I'd say.
Thanks a million for sharing this with us. Truly magic!!! I get quite emosh watching them all. Probably cause Prisoner has been such a huge part of my life for 40 plus years. Still love it today. Sending love to all the other old timers like me. ❤
Wow, it's horrible to say this but I'm surprised that these iconic actresses are still around today. Pleasing to see that they're still around and embracing the moment. Such an iconic TV series and one that has withstood time.
Im watching prisoner cell block h at the moment im on episode 675 nearly done i remember watching when iwas a kid with my mam and dad when it was on in the uk absolutely brilliant
Wow I'm amazed how good they look. My brother and I are just watching Prisoner at the moment. We are up to season 2 where Doreen finds out shes pregnant from the sleeze at the work factory and she has to tell Kecin, So sad

Amanda looks incredible, like she's been in a timewarp
She hasn’t aged at all 😍
Also amazing to see Patsy King when she must be almost 100 years old.
How I miss those days.
watching this show on tv at midnight again on thats tv just like i used to do in the 80s as a kid! just epicness !!! love this !!!
Not bad for a little soap opera that used to come on after midnight on a week day.
When it first aired in 1979 it was on twice a week at 8:00pm. I remember it well and was as popular as KISS in the TV Guide.
@@darrenhunt9049 good to know, I was born in 82 so I'm probably recalling reruns.
@@AlexS-bi7of I was 9 in 79 and it was my Mum's fave show, even the old Man liked it.

The Tart With A Heart nickname wasn’t given to Chrissie Latham. That was Helen Smart.

Aww Patsy King 😢
My three favourite ❤❤❤ from Prisoner
Amanda Muggleton is great in pcbh. She played Chrissie perfectly.
Love this show. My faves are Chrissy, Lizzie, Bea, Jude, Mrs D, Mrs M, Joan / The Freak ! xx
Chrissy Latham had the best set of pins on the show 👌
Omg her legs were INSANE!!! Drove me nuts man!

Yeah, season 2 was filmed in 1979 and 1980. Amazing to see them in 2024.
Amanda is looking absolutley stunning !
She hasn’t aged at all 😍
Amanda (aka Chrissy ) looks fabulous !
Amanda is still just as gorgeous now as she was then!

6 years off being 100 😆
Does the Talking Prisoner channel know about this video? I think they might be interested and fascinated by it.
Is there still prisoners lunches on in 2024? I’d love to go

I'm a bit confused, was there a typo on screen as it says celebrating 45 years of Prisoner, 1979 to 2014 ??
1979 /1986 45 years since first episode aired
Cult classic, been watching it again on you tube. I prefer it to the Wentworth prison episode,s.
Wentworth is a great show in its own right.
Wentworth was fantastic
That bloke likes the sound of his own voice.
He was annoying as hell!! Just awful. And drunk most of the day.
