I always love your farmhouse builds, they are so pretty! Something I would be curious to see is that all the lots in the sims 4 are so flat. You've made homes with raised terrain but I would love to see a bit of a challenge where maybe you make a set of 3 lots next to each other all on raised terrain. It would be different to try and blend terrain across lots and make it look organic cause often a single house on terrain looks out of place.
I love your builds! While you were talking about wanting pre-teens, and the jumps in ages, I have to relate how different it was to play Sims Vanilla. We could create a family, and you could have babies, but nobody aged up, except the babies into children. We didn't have toddlers or teenagers, and you just played the sims at the age they were created at. Quite different to gameplay now, which is a good thing! I love love love the toddlers!

I also struggle with finding the right rustic artwork and recently started using the collectible vintage postcards (I guess these are in debug) and enlarging them to use on the wall.
This looks so beautiful and cozy. I like farmhouse builds and just tried a modern version myself, but couldn't pull it off. Yours is amazing!

So the Voidcritter cards serve as both decorative cards as well as the thing you put in the console, so it’s kinda like a digital card I guess? Once you put it in, you can level up the critter, and the level stays after you take it out. It’s a cool little mechanic, and if you read the card descriptions there’s actually a lotta lore. I feel like if the main object for it had easier for Sims to use, it would’ve been a hit.
Anyway don’t mind me being one of the few people who loved that mechanic lol the house is amazing, it’s making me wonder when I’ll have another farmer Sim
Those extra bathrooms are called Pittsburg bathrooms because it was where people who mined or worked in factories would change clothes and shower so they didn’t have to get the living areas dirty.
This house is so beautiful! Great job! Do you think you might add it to your save file? I haven’t seen anything new for that in a while and was just wondering (no rush of course!)

Do you have any tips about building for beginners? I’ve been wanting to get into building but whenever I try I just can’t get it right. 👍
This pre-teen term is an English thing. We don't have it in my language. We have child and teen and that's it. The issue isn't the naming, the issue is that the "teens" have adult bodies. If they were like in the sims 2 and were smaller, you could make them look like 15 year olds or younger even.
How do you get rid of the floor around the stairs? Ive been trying to get rid of it but nothing works 😭

I love farmhouses, but am getting tired of the "modern farmhouse" trend. Beautiful build though!! The moment I really realized that this is getting pretty cookie-cutter happened about a year ago. My mom got tickets for Parade of Homes in Grand Junction, CO, and one house was in a neighborhood where every house was advertised as "modern farmhouse." Every house was white with metal roofs and some stone accents, maybe some rustic wood above the garage, and it all looked the same. If it weren't for all of the traffic and signs outside of the one house, we couldn't tell it apart from the rest of the neighborhood. I love old traditional farmhouses that have been updated or have a modern addition.
