Thank you and hello! I had such a wonderful time in Bali as a first time visitor 🙏 The people were so lovely and the Balinese food was delicious! Looking forward to my next visit for more of your beautiful birds 😍🦜
So nice to see a well made video plus a very professional sounding informative commentary. It really makes the video so much more enjoyable. And your stills were top notch as well. As a sometime wildlife photographer myself I know how hard it can be to get good shots. 👍
Thank you Roger. It was my first visit to Bali and I had pretty low expectations but it really was a great experience! There's plenty of birds but you do have to get out to West Bali, which is the best part IMHO...so much quieter.
Looks like a fun tour! I'm American and have never been within ten thousand miles of Indonesia, but, y'know, it's on the bucket list if I ever get a decent vacation fund saved up. Australia, too! I don't know as much as I should about Australian birds, and you have a promising looking channel here, so I think I'll subscribe.
Thank you so much! I would love to show you more about Australian birds, we have some real beauties. Hopefully you will get to see them in person one day 🙏😊🦜
Wow! Fabulous encounters with some gorgeous birds! I really hope Bali can switch focus & it becomes more of a bird watcher’s paradise. I had no idea it was that good. The nightjar was such a surprise!! 😁 ~ Karen
Bird tourism is a great way out of impending doom for much of Indonesia's birdlife. I really was surprised at the amount of birds, I hope it continues in the right direction! I missed quite a few shots too...really great birding.
Awesome video and great photos. All the birds were beautiful but the Pitta, he stole the show. I definitely need to get to Bali and go on a bird tour. I don’t think the methods of finding the birds is any different from any other birding tours around the world as long as not used exclusively, and not causing any harm to the birds. Keep the videos coming. Cheers, Merv
Isn't he stunning! I was really hoping I'd see one, it was a major highlight. The bird tours do have an off season too, so it's not constant feeding the birds rely on. The guide told me he spends off season time looking for new locations. He had amazing skills of observation and knew all the spots, made it easy for me!
@@mervroberts5134 yes it is, I've had it about 18 months, it's an amazing lens I absolutely love it - especially as I don't like using a tripod. Very light for the zoom power.
@@flyingparrotphotography I thought it was. I would love to own that lens, but would probably have to try and sell a kidney which nobody would probably want as it’s a bit on the old side.🥲
Hi Craig, I use an OM-1, I've been a long time Olympus user. I have a variety of lenses, I've had a few questions about gear so I'm going to do a short video rundown soon, stay tuned!
Good photos & trip - but I am no fan of bird/animal calls & feeders at any time. Meal worms?!? And I also look for snakes. They are much harder to photograph than birds.Want to photograph a lot of birds? Nowhere beats Fogg dam, Corroberee Billabong & the rest of Kakadu in the NT. (and I've been to most of Asia, the UK, South America, Canada & 39 States of the USA).
Wow amazing birds, I haven't even seen many of them. Greetings from a Balinese 🇮🇩❤🐦

Oh wow, thanks Chris! Amateur video maker but I am enjoying the learning curve 😊 And watching a lot of youtube tutorials 😂
Thank you for a great video. What a wonderful tour, and what stunning birds and a great way to support the local economy.
I had a great time! It was so much better than I was expecting. Thanks for commenting 😊
Looks great!
Nice video!
Thank you!!
You got some great shots Sonia. I loved the pitta photos. Never really thought of Bali as a birding destination, but you have changed my mind! Amazing

Lovely video, i hope i once go to Bali for birding!
Thank you! It was a wonderful adventure, I hope to go again one day 🤞🦜
Awesome video, that coucal is a greater coucal. I used to see it a lot in India.
Thank you! Ahhh I wasn't sure about the Coucal 😊 What a bird! I only got a breif look at him

@@flyingparrotphotography yes they need to see a financial change from destruction to nature tourism

@@flyingparrotphotography Just curious, is that lens you have on your OM1 the 150-400f4 pro lens?

We are so lucky in Australia we have some of the best birding in the world 👍
Can you give tour operator details and guide contact?
It's all in the video! Guides names are at the end 👍
