- Relief in Ukraine after U.S. President Joe Biden signed the long-delayed new U.S. military aid package worth $61 billion. Biden said shipments will begin within hours. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy welcomed the aid, saying the country's military must act fast to make up for months of losses.

I can only hope that nobody expects miracles from the Ukrainians now. The front must first be stabilised and new reserves built up. An offensive is not to be expected with this package. Much more is needed for that.

@@Thecopedealer I have written: BUILD UP reserves. That means that there are no reserves. You are right with your argument. Ukraine has far too few soldiers and this problem is home-made.
@@chessnut4886 I see my mistake, thanks for the clarification. Do you suppose their new forced mobilization decrees will fill up the reserves they are hoping for. And what do you think the social repercussions will be for Ukraine moving forward knowing that they will always technically have less of everything from manpower, ammo to equipment, and machinery? Do you think they’ll internally collapse or just try and hit the peace table in next few years as they continue their forced mobilizations due to low “everything”.
As an American I hope the aid saves Ukrainian lives and restores their sovereignty.

We here in Germany have switched to LNG gas, with Biden's promise that he would expand the LNG infrastructure in the USA.
Now he's backed down in order to butter up environmental groups during the election campaign. What about Biden's criticism of Ukraine's attacks on the Russians' oil infrastructure. His point is to keep petrol prices from getting too high, knowing full well that Americans ALWAYS vote out the current president when petrol prices are high.
This petrol price/re-election connection alone is so absurd that it can only exist in a country where people are superficial and selfish.
