It all depends on the bowler. I have seen bowlers play very long patterns from the twig and other bowlers move in and swing short patterns.
Try all over the lane in warm up to see what it is giving you and adjust from there.

On a short pattern my breakpoint has to be around 2 or 3 board or else it’s going to miss the head pin left. Long patterns make parallel moves inside until the ball holds.
