The reason I initially got interested in Russia and began trying to learn the language and watch Russian UA-camr’s videos was because of the Russian masonry heater stoves. The big ones where people cook on it plus there’s a bed built in at the top. I love those so much. I had an Americanized version installed in my house. If I had a dacha I would use that for heat.
That’s exactly how I started watching Russian videos! I searched for “Russian Stove” and all these videos popped up. How much did it cost you to have one built…..if you don’t mind me asking.
In Germany, you are not allowed to live permanently in a recreation area. Some do it anyway, but it's risky. Even more risky is building things without permit. You might have to destroy parts, that are build illegal.
Hello Valerie and Alex. My namn is also Alex and live in Israel. Thank you for all videos you do. It is very interesting to look at them and I like them a lot.
Absolutely adore following you, Alex, Sheffie and Kitty ❤️. It’s like catching up regularly with good friends and I feel very happy when I see a new video pop up! Thank you so much for sharing your life dear Valerie ❤️
Alex's English has really improved! Also, our Black Lab (named Dimitri or "Dima") really likes to see Sheffie on the screen. He watches him very seriously!
Extremely interesting. Community conflicts are to be found all over the world. Dacha country is a land of high fences. My community does not allow fences.
❤ Thank you Steve. Unfortunately without Sheffield this time. He is too old for such trips. But all is fine with him. He lost some weight 😊. Now it is easier for him to walk🐶
"Preevet" hello there from Ohio in the USA 🗽 I follow as many channels that talk about Russian culture as I can. I like your vlogs. They are calm and interesting. I ❤ the wildlife. That Duck was a male duck in the pond. He is called a Mallard. My sister and I had one as a pet when we were kids. His name was "Reggie" ❤
I would love to have neighbors like you and Alex. I would enjoy having a friend to take walks with and you two would be so much fun to have cook outs with my hubby and myself. You're neighbors are very blessed to have you guys! Thank you for letting us tag along with you all
Thank you for sharing that. I like my gas fireplace but only use it when electricity goes out. With the crazy prices of gas lately, I really don't blame you.
The duck is a mallard in English. Suggest that owners that want gas get tanks. For short-term dacha living 20 to 40 ltr, a person can pick up one easily and return a tank. ( Then long-term living dachas 100 ltr underground tanks in their property for gas delivery at the fence with a big red and orange sign fire warning.) Say no to natural gas lines that cost too much. Your roads are not wide enough as is for gas lines. WoW! Dasha Amnesty Sweet!
Thank you the update on dacha and the information about adding gas appliances to dacha. I enjoy seeing your and Alex's dacha and taking walks when the weather and time permits. When will the inside of your house be ready for a reveal video? Maybe next spring/summer? Or do y'all still have a lot of work to do on the inside? Be well, stay safe, hope to see you both again real soon. xx
This looks like shallots ! It is nice to make a frech shallots and garlic tarte. You roat your shallots in a cast iron dish with butter 50 g and vegetable oil. You toss the mixture until shinny and soften. You have prepared your shortcrust pastry, wrapping it with cling film , and put in the fridge. You finished the shallots tart with letting 1 glass of red wine, reduce the temperature of your cooker to simmer. When the shallots have absorbed all the wine, turn off your cooker. In a tart baking tray previously , you did paint all the surfaces and you will add a little flour. Shake the excess. Salt and pepper your shallots. Prepare the shortcut pastry on some flour, dispose it, delicatly in your ovenproof dish. With a fork turned in your hands on the back, pick with the teeth the pastry lightly, without growing through the pastry. Dispose neatly the shallots, place in a preheated oven, rack in the middle of the oven, 200° Centigrade or 180 ° celsius for fan oven. Let it cooked thoroughly from the oven. Buy 1 fresh figue ! Cut it in 2 parts. Empty the seeds and place in the middle of the tart. You could as well broke 1 egg with just 1 tear of milk, and mixed it and paint al. The outdide crus Déguster avec 1 verre de vin rouge et une bonne salade verte appelée Feuilles de chêne, aussi ajouter goat cheese : Bon appétit !
They either need to bring in gas or upgrade the electrical system. All I see is low voltage lines. Where are the high voltage feeders and transformers? A community that size needs at least one dedicated transformer.
Hi Val. Good to hear from you and Alex again. I have a question. Why don't you add solar panes to your roof? It seems like it would save you a lot of money on electricity over a year, more than you are are paying your local power company. I don't recall seeing any on buildings in any of your videos. I was just wondering about this.
@@archlich4489gas itself is quite cheap in Russia, it was just Valeria's awkward translation. What is expensive, however, is getting connected to the gas distribution facilities 😊
In the US/Canada how we heat our houses, well it depends: Some have Electric, some have "natural gas" (by pipes) and some have "bottled gas" (propane). And still others use wood, and some still use coal. In the remote areas of Maine, they use heating oil (essentially, refined diesel) and in the places like Arizona, Solar Power (not electric solar panels, instead "Hot Plate" systems where water is heated in pipes on the roof, and circulated in the usual fashion in radiators.) This also makes hot water. So, my question is: Why not heating oil, or bottled "propane" gas as alternatives and solutions for your Dacha homes? In the long run though, most residents in the US/Canada are expected to be heated (and cooled) with electric "heat pumps." Heat pumps do not work well in very cold climates, but they are improving. You can also get your hot water for cooking/showers with the newer more efficient heat pumps, though they are still quite expensive. We rarely have "three phase" lines, except in special cases, usually for welding in our barns and garages.
You also could replace the figue by a very good apple corred and soften in the oven on low temperature, 140° celscius wrapped in foil paper on a baking tray.
Love the music! Beautiful at the dacha. Can you eat the fish from tge lake? It sounds like lots of money to allow guests. Lots of rules. Spasibo and paka!
Everything is the opposite in Australia. +42C today AND many local authorities are BANNING gas from new houses?? So, if you want gas, you can't have it, only electricity.
Could you use solar panels in summer, spring, autumn. Wood and bottled gas for winter. Cover your strawberries with straw or dried leaves., they'll come thru winter okay 👌 🍓 🍓🍎🍅🍉🍍🌰🍎🌰🍎👌
In California where I live, a law was passed: all new houses built must have solar panels for generating electricity. Perhaps Russia will do this, or allow you to do this. Then you are independent. No more reliance on gas or electric wires. The sun is your source.
You and Alex work along so well. You are lucky to have a good husband. I told another guy to contact you when he finishes his apartment. I hope you don't mind? He had different people working there. I don't think he really want to stay in the city. They're staying in a flat, attached to his grandparents - with a big garage where they work on cars. They 'modified' Lada cars to spin and glide with them .... waiting for the snow. I hope your onions and garlic grow. It look too cold for me. Poka Poka

The people who live there all year round need to switch to propane for their heating, cooking, and clothes washing machines. The propane tanks can be placed above ground and not affect other people. My entire 3,400 sq ft home runs on propane so I'm sure they can utilize this gas for these homes rather than forcing all members to pay for natural gas lines. A truck carries propane and delivers it to your tank regularly based on your needs. My truck comes every 4 weeks. Those who made the choice to live there full time in an area where most homes were summer homes should not inflict their pr. problems on others. I'm glad the majority are against the gas. I would not register my home until the year 2030
Why is it a problem for the electricity company to increase the electricity supply? Doesn't Russia have lots of fuel to power power plants for everyone's needs? I am thinking that would be a much cheaper and more beneficial option for all the dacha owners .. even if everyone had to contribute a small amount towards the cost of installing better electricity wires etc as it is something all of the dachas use and are connected mostly to..

Great video. The gas hookup seems a little bit pricey. I would just stay with electric. Thanks for the update and have a great day
there is a really good, recent, reason why electric may not be the answer.

You have to put holes in your roof for roof solar panels. All that snow… better to install panels on poles on the ground.
Beautiful place to get away to for a quiet vacation or weekends. Love the music. Thanks for showing us around.❤

Maybe inquire with power company to put in another power transformer? It's more economical for the city.
