Thank you for making this video - this is SUCH great information. I find that there are so many misconceptions around 12 step programs especially that they are religious programs ( you don't have to believe in a Higher Power, you can find your OWN concept of God). The one I used to hear a lot is that it's a cult - but this is also false because in 12 steps there is no leader and you can "take what you like and leave the rest" which many people find comforting. Thanks again! Great video and you've explained the concepts so well!

Thank you so much for explaining how the 12 steps can happen without a religious connection. I grew up religious (Jewish) and now im living by the way i decide, with emphasise on control. When i heard the steps about giving the power to god and prayin to him for help i was like hell no, never doing that again. But your video really helped me see the 12 steps in a different way and how every step is about your own journey, not just giving all control over my life to god 'cus when i did that life was hell
