The gag with Kirk darkly musing what their counterparts could be up to on 'our' Enterprise, only to immediately cut to showing that they were exposed immediately and thrown in the brig is my favorite comedy moment in Star Trek.
Thanks for reacting to some of the best of TOS. As an old fan whose first memory is a TOS episode during its first airing on NBC in 1967, I love to see what young eyes make of "my _Star Trek_ ."
The reason why Spock put up such a fight, is that it had been established earlier that he, like full blooded Vulcans, is several times stronger than an average human. Kirk is an excellent fighter who could take down most people one on one, so Sulu isn't a problem, but Spock's enormous strength means even Kirk can't take him down alone.
Fun Fact. The same person who wrote this episode of Star Trek, Jerome Bixby, also wrote the famous Twilight Zone "It's a Good Life" where you have the kid wishing people into the cornfield.
"The Illogic... of Waste, Mr. Spock." "In every Revolution, there's one man with a Vision." 11:59 Our Spock figured it out, and he put the Mirror Landing Party on the Transporter pads and Energized at the exact same time Mirror Spock did. Scotty wrote a Technical Paper on it... 😋
This is Really a Tremendous Scene for Nichelle Nichols, We see her acting as a secret agent to distract a Dangerous Killer like Sulu!!! In his Killer self!!! Uhura pulls that dagger like ah BOSS!!!
Oh wow! Great reactions, gals!! The tension was palpable seeing you both react to the danger the Enterprise crew was in. You'll get to see more of the mirror-verse in Star Trek Enterprise! 😀
Great episode, there's a similar early fan story (visit to a weird planet by jean lorrah (can be found on the net)) where Kirk, Spock and Bones beam up from a planet but a surge of some sort lands them in the transporter room set at Desilu studios. There's a sequel (return to a weird planet revisited, published in 'the new voyages' series of books), Shatner, Nimoy and Kelley are filming an scene in the 3 sided transporter room set, they feel weird and the next thing they see is the actual transporter room of the ncc1701 during a klingon encounter. Both worth a read (first can be a little difficult to find)
Also, there is a (sadly) short lived series called Star Trek Continues, almost fan fiction but they did a complete rebuild of the sets and production was really good. They made an episode that picks up EXACTLY at the end of this one. If you can find it, a reaction might be a lot of fun. YT carried them, but not sure if you could upload it without issue.

I'm always a fan of alternate/evil reality episodes. They're great episodes and definitely a great chance for the actors to ham it up a bit and be naughty. As you said, the Mirror Universe does come back in DS9, Enterprise, Discovery and Lower Decks. Although, TNG and Voyager have done their own versions of parallel universes or evil interpretations of the characters. I'm puzzled by your mutual 'YUCK!' reaction at 5:03 When Kirk says, "I'll tell Uhura to create a diversion, distract Sulu's attention." I may have missed something. You both seem to think Uhura handled herself well later in the episode, when she actually enacted the 'distract Sulu' plan. So... Uhura's 'performance' was good, but there was a problem with Kirk _suggesting_ it as the necessary plan? Maybe you were reacting to: "Sixties writers: there you go again: TROPE! Woman has to distract man with her feminine wiles, to save the Universe!" Or maybe I missed the point completely and you were reacting to something else. Please explain. :)

TNG has fine action scenes sure, but the battle against Spock here was superior. I have to say it's odd that they could beat Spock tho, he has ten times thier strength and fifteen times thier stamina but I guess Kirk got em from the back.
And Enterprise
We just both knew she was gonna have to do that in order for them to be able to accomplish the mission. We both knew that it wouldn't be something she would WANT to do but knew she would HAVE to do.
@@KatAlysha maybe she did want to do it ..not all women are frigid woke batches
Another quality cat on the wall video!
Evil cats and their goatees, ISTG.
Fun fact: When cats head-butt you, they are trying to usurp your authority.
Purring is the cat version of maniacal laughter.
Check out the fan made series" Star Trek Continues" if you want to know what happened to the Mirror universe Spock after the Mirror Universe Kirk and crew return to there own (Mirror) universe. it's a really good episode.
As you have watched some TOS, if you would ever start watching the movies you should at least watch episode 22 (Space Seed) of season one before that.
It was fun watching Paula crushing on Kirk and Katrina crushing on Uhura. The mirror universe has also played an important part on Star Trek Discovery.
I Second the motion: Must do reaction to Star Trek continues fairest of them all. Fan Series sequel to this episode ... MUST MUST WATCH ! Episodes to Star Trek Continues is on youtube.

Hi, I saw you reacted to Amok Time in your tos reactions, however I couldn't find that video on youtube, only the other 2. Was it copyrighted? Can you still upload it somewhere? Really wanna see that episode reaction. Thank you!
I think Amok Time is only available on their Patreon.
@@TheNoiseySpectator They've watched the following TOS episodes. Not saying they were all Patreon exclusives, but if you see an episode on this list and not on YT then it was either blocked, or Patreon-only:
Mirror, Mirror
Balance of Terror
Trouble with Tribbles
Amok Time
City on the Edge of Forever
My favourite episode from the original series awaiting you to watch strange new worlds with spock uhura and Chapel
