would you recommend this over Garmin R10 now?
Thanks Dave for the updated information. Golf's a crazy difficult game which is perfect for those of us who like an endless ever changing challlenge that allows us to express our physicality and creativity simultaneously. Maybe at some point. I'll be able to get into a sim and the MLM2 Pro looks like a great place to start so it's good to have a finger on the pulse of the device with your updates. Since it's such a great device for the money, I'm glad to see that they are putting resources into significant improvements over time. Merry Christmas. Cheers.
I don’t think they’ll be able to add putting to the mlm2pro but definitely there are new putting devices out! Hope to test those soon

Just checked an email I received from Rapsodo on April 28th. As an early adopter you should be receiving 3 months free extended premium subscription as an apology for the early software issues. That should see us through until the end of June. Great videos buy the way David, keep up the good work 👍

Yeah very pleasing that they’ve done an update to this level. Takes a lot to get back end developers to basically re do a whole app
I tried Garmin and SwingCaddie SC4before buying the MLM2Pro. MLM2Pro was better back in July and new software-firmware have widened the gap. Abitility to review impact vision automatically after each shot when in practice mode is great. New range with target setting is much nicer. I only hit irons-hybrids indoors but par 3 courses I tried now look better.
In my the features that you get for $699 US are a great value vs a $3000 BLP or Skytrak. It is now so much better than the Garmin that concerns about the $200 US sub fee are just silly
Agree the sub fee in negligible really and now definitely worth the money anyway
When playing a sim round, does it auto align or are you aligning where you want to hit your next shot? Thanks in advance for doing these videos, very helpful!
It will align to the same spot that it showed on the range but you can also check the alignment in the app then go into the round 😁👍🏼

Also, with the new update, what do you think is the better LM? the OG Skytrak (which I have) or the MLM?
If you don’t have space then skytrak and also if it’s mainly indoors then skytrak but otherwise if you’re taking it to the range and you have the space mlm2pro
I heard some countries don’t have (or have given) the data that Rapsodo uses to program the elevations. So it sounds like courses in certain countries will still be flat for now.

Finally git mine. Question in shot data. When it describes shot shape. I understand st is Straight. D is draw f is fade. What is R.
That is a very good question. I’m not sure but maybe it’s just “Right” meaning I’ve blocked it with no actual draw or fade

If you’re using it on outdoor off the grass it has a range ball option for you
You seem closer to the enclosure than most people unless it's just the camera angle. What is your distance from mlm2pro to tee and tee to screen in this video?

Looking to get an iPad for the mlm2 pro. Will a 64mb unit work as long as it has the updated iOS? Will it also support Awesome Golf app?

Yes, if you use the simulation area you should be able to go back to your previous sessions, click on the shots and see the swings and replay them

Found the swing and impact videos, but no video or assimilation of the ball flight. Thoughts?
@@arnoldspieker3700 you should be able to see them in the stats and also the flight paths etc
I feel like the main thing they need now is to have an update to how greens react with spin. Right now it seems there is no difference between fairways and greens which makes it impossible to hold certain greens because you literally cannot get the ball to stop and roll backwards.
It seems like that would be an easy algorithm update so not sure why it wasn’t in the latest patch.

With the old Skytrak selling comparable to MLM pro now, is it the better choice especially if playing Sim courses is more important than game improvement?

Every video I see on the mlm2 seems like when the ball hits the green it's an automatic 10 yard roll. No matter where club. Only thing I think.needs fixed. It's git super accurate spin. Just natch tp to the ball physics as well when it hits the green.

I have the MLM2PRO, and you are correct, it always rolls out, even with my SW and 10k spin. It does not do this when using E6 or awesome golf though, so it’s just not calculated in the Rapsodo software. Hopefully will be updated soon.
As I mentioned before, I decided to get a SkyTrak+ instead of this POS and it is fantastic. Even after MANY emails to support, Rapsodo just gave up on me telling me to be patient for new firmware, new fixes, etc. The last one I tried remained buggy as hell on the connection issue. Could not get past 4-5 holes on simulated golf before a disconnect which would dump the entire round. Rapsodo then told me I was out of the return window so sorry... see ya later. They offered a minor extension on the subscription for all these troubles was all they would do. So don't recommend this launch monitor at all. Mine is going up for sale. Basically new, very little use.
Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience. The skytrak+ is fantastic and also my favourite home launch monitor. However the mlm2pro is very good and in a lot more people’s budget window 😁

I just purchased MLM2PRO and have been using it for a few days now. I have noticed that all of my shots are extremely short. I hit everything from PW - 4i and all of my shots fell between 110 - 140 yards which is just not right at all. I have the correct distances from monitor, ball, and net. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
That’s strange. Has the software been updated? And are you using the RPT balls?
@@davidmaxfieldgolf Yeah the software had to be updated as soon as I turned it on for the first time. And I am using the RPT balls that came with the device. I wonder if it could be because of the backdrop. I am hitting in my garage into a standard net without an impact screen.

Mlm2pro is more accurate with flight path but the Garmin R10 is also very good and GSPro is great
