No matter how old or better a horse is, only the best master can train & get the best of it. so is the case with Tyros. Your talent makes the magic come to life... Great job Mr. Martin!!
This is one nice guy. I met him at Musikmesse in 2011. I've had them all, Korg, Roland, ketron. Absolute rubbish. Nothing comes close to this and now the tyros 4. Unreal
Haha, I love it how Yamaha musicians rearrange famous tunes so that they can use them for demo purposes without copyright infringement yet they are still recognizable.
it isnt just the keyboard... tiss the player... for eg if i had a tyros it would sound like a wet towel.... but this guy can make a psr s500 sound like heaven
I found both Tyros 3 and Martin Harris equally mind boggling. The former for its music-related algorithms and technologies behind it, and the latter for Martin's amazing musicality. I wonder how many people besides Martin himself, Tyros 3's chief developer according to Yamaha's blog, would do justice to this product.
It's not a pitch bend. It's a SuperArticulation "art" button based on exactly how modulation is done on Irish bagpipes (uilleann pipes). If you notice, he's not touching the pitch-bend wheel but flicking one of the two square buttons on the far left.
The best keyboards I've ever heard, beautiful design. But unfortunately I have no money to buy it. As soon as enough money that will be my first investment to buy this Tyros 3
the ensoniq EPS had articulation buttons 24 years ago. they affected the attack and release of notes, including glissandos. nice to see yamaha has decided to bring that back.
@lastgoodid After 1 year of lessons and 5 years of playing 35 years ago, I now have a Tyros and I want to start all over again, unfortunately I have nerve damage on my hands (carpal and some other stuff), when i play with one finger, the timing is perfect, when I play with the whole hand there are delays and anticipations from one finger to the other, it's getting slightly better after a month of practice at 1 hr a day, but with some good styles, Tyros covers my mistakes.
@Herberger54 But you get a very good instrument. If you dont need sliders a Tyros 2 would be also good for you. IF you don´t need a movable Display, buy the PSR S910
saintpine.... everyone gets better with practice.... the day u think ur good enuff to be a pro(and u will).... i'll post the first compliment on ur page... keep on playin
I agree with you. The player is most important and his talent :) There is a one on UA-cam even, who plays on four instruments at the same time - this is incredible :) (search on YT - JayB-Productions - Trance Live Performance) :)
@lastgoodid I have the tyros 2, I'm wouldn't be able to be a professional before reaching my grave, but the tyros help amateurs like me sound a bit better and it gives me at least a lot of satisfaction. And everyone around me is satisfied as well.....as long as I keep my headphones on.
It's the second time I see someone wobbling sideways with there fingers on the Tyros 3, does it have an effect on the sound ? New keyboard sensors ? It has no effect on the Tyros 2.
Great Sound, now playing a Roland VA-7. That thing is getting old so looking for a replacement... I Like Yamaha, but Roland seems to have more "power" in the style's. The four different section's in the Style's don't build up that good as Roland does. But the voice's of the Yamaha and the cohesiveness with the Style is superb! For the experienced keyboard players it would be best to got both! ;-) Greetz
It does sound AMAZINGLY realistic, even better than the Motif series. But I have to wonder...who are these keyboards for? It costs at least $3000. Jamming in your home by yourself? Solo lounge musicians in hotel lobbies? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just wondering...is it just an expensive toy?
I Have Played The Tyros 3, It Feels So Awesome To Have It At My Fingertips And Have My Demo Way With It, But It's Not Good Enough, I Think I'm Gonna Be Like Wayne From Waynes World With The Fender Strat, Until I Have The Cash To Buy It, Very Awesome, Favourite Voice Is The Irish Pipe Air, But you can fuck off if you think i'm telling you where they sell it and let you try it or i'll never see it again! Lol, God Bless Yamaha Tyros 3 x x x
You can't think that way...To a millionaire $3k is chump change, to a poor man it's a fortune. To a rich CEO a $50k car is a bargain, to someone less fortunate it's too expensive. My point was - FOR WHAT IT IS, is it a $3k toy or not; do people actually do anything creative with them, or are they just things to play a bit of U2 on. I think CrocodileRocker below said it best, it's a self-indulgent toy. The perfect Christmas present, right? :)
im trying to find the main video ... because this is not a 3,400 dollar video... not even close ... i paid 3000 for my korg triton but that was 11 years ago ... people dont spend 3,000 on a keyboard any more... its 2010 ... software does every thing this can do ... whats inside the keyboard? software !
I don't think anything that Roland have made over the past 15 years is any better than my SC-88 Pro or JV-1080. I would sooner get an older early 90s Korg keyboard like an 01/W if I wanted a Korg. It's still the best keyboard Korg ever made 30 years later.
No matter how old or better a horse is, only the best master can train & get the best of it. so is the case with Tyros. Your talent makes the magic come to life... Great job Mr. Martin!!
I love Tyros 3,4,5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are unique !!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations for the video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tyros leaves me breathless!!

I should be getting Tyros 3 in about 3 months time, they will come in cheap when the Tyros 4 comes out
the ensoniq EPS had articulation buttons 24 years ago. they affected the attack and release of notes, including glissandos. nice to see yamaha has decided to bring that back.
This keyboard is not intended to play in a band. this is an arranger. all-in-one series.
piękny sprzęt! Pozdrawiam.
Awesome stuff! I wonder hom nuch time does it takes to learn how to work with this :]

Korg is like an Choke ! No Chance !
Damn! Nice job!
Tyros 3 is replaced by Tyros 4. T3 is only aviable @ some music stores
Okay, he's using a pitch bend for that, but not for the uilleann pipes before.
thanx... will check it out
All Tyros3 sounds now can be used in the new PSR S950
magnifique!!!!!!!!!!!

michel vonkcen will probably don't make a review of this keyboard!!! :(
Hello does any one have the music score for the first peice played on Celtic pipes?
@lastgoodid
I have the tyros 2, I'm wouldn't be able to be a professional before reaching my grave, but the tyros help amateurs like me sound a bit better and it gives me at least a lot of satisfaction.

I just recently purchase a tyross 3 keyboard , for The miserable price of , 250 dlls in a garage sale...it was a struck of luck

Mooi spulleke
LMAO you're funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that;s the worse irish pipe sound i've heard in my life
though it's the player's fault. i'm liking this keyboard
@Honig01 du bist vielleicht nicht der HellsteO_o
anoche tuve una pesadilla con un tyros3 xDD
estaba tocando tranquilamente y de repende se lo llevaban y encima a precio de por menor jaajajajaj
Every time I see this, his expressions at 5:46 just make me laugh, seriously how cheesy?!
He looks like Gigi D'Alessio :)
@beberia plz touch in you?! :-O lol
Roland always the best sorry mr yamaha and mr korg :))
Michel Voncken is much much better...!!!
yamaha is a toy, sound a toy, yamaha is bike...motor...if you want a real keyboard find a korg, kurzweil, roland....
Roland was shit 7 years ago, and now it's still worse. At the time, Tyros 3 walked over pa2x, as Tyros 4 walks over the pa3x.
I don't think anything that Roland have made over the past 15 years is any better

I do have a Montage 8, Nautilus 88 and a PSR-SX600. I don't think, I can agree.
