You guys are doing such important work keeping an archive of all these games, thanks so much! Would you ever consider making playlists that organize games by genre? Or maybe some recommendations from the different people on the team? I use your videos to find games to play or watch games I can’t, but I’m sure I’ve missed a ton of hidden gems and with such an extensive log of experience I imagine all your heads put together would have a more extensive sample size than me

Really appreciate the comment. I think organizing on genre (for each console too?) would be too much work and too much clutter in the playlists tab. Right now the best thing would be to use GameFAQ’s to sort by genre and console and then cross reference with our spreadsheets to see if we have the game. You can also see ratings there but not fully reliable lol. Eventually we hope to have our own website and integrate such similar system alongside our sheets, but I can’t afford a developer right now. Last suggestion/possibility is that whenever you find a hidden gem on here, you can see who uploaded it and look for more videos by that uploader on our spreadsheets.. most members have specific preferences whereas I personally just play through anything

@@longplayarchive good point about cluttering the playlist tab. I imagine that it would get even muddier with games that are multiple genres or are blurrier on the lines between them. Cross referencing is a great idea, I’ll definitely do that, same with checking for the uploader’s other plays. A website would be brilliant if you ever get the chance to make it. Depending on what you’d want to include you could maybe just use tumblr or something, but that might not hold up with how extensive your archive is. Hope it works out for you eventually!
