- During the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed I have filmed the Mercedes-AMG One in action on the Hill Climb. This is a Formula 1 car for the road with his 1.6-litre F1 V6 engine that produce 1,063 hp and goed from 0-124mph in under six seconds. The AMG One costs over £2 million and all 275 units have sold out! I hope you will enjoy this video

@LNS_CTDi apparently the new regulations in 2026 will allow the V6 engines to rev much higher than they do right now, so we’ll see how that sounds

@@myusername3689 Well with all the EPA regulations, these sports cars are using more and more lower friction parts, thus making them sound quieter and quieter.

It’s a pretty cool, pretty fast car, I’ll give it that. I bought a Lego version for my son and I love it. But I came on UA-cam to find a video of the car making cool sounds and I’m disappointed. A Ferrari F50 has an F1 derived engine too. It’s waaaay slower, but it sounds soooooooo much better. Ev’s are going to make ICE engines disappear pretty soon, we might as well make as much noise as possible while we still can.
F1 cars today are also silent...

@@firdausdarus2387 LaF, P1, 918. All are hybrid and all make a sound. AMG-1 has an F1 motor in it, yet, a Tesla is still louder. No I don't want a non-road legal car instead. I want Mercedes to stick to their heritage which is big sound. Get rid of the resonators and silencers. Take a pipe and bend it to fit in the car that way it is so loud that I can't even hear you speak or concentrate to read what you type.

The sound is pretty good in my opinion, but it sounds very muffled. This is due to emissions. They even had to delay it due to stricter regulations. The solution which is of course 100% legal is to use catless downpipes with OPF delete. For example the 992 Turbo S sounds not very good even with sport exhaust or PSE so many resort to changing the mufflers and downpipe which not only makes the car sound better but also boosts the performance. The same can probably be done to the AMG ONE. Only if some tuning shop or exhaust company is crazy enough and willing to make some catless downpipes for the AMG ONE…..

Whats the point with putting a f1 engine in when it doesnt sound like one? I would be pissed if i ordered the car , 1700kilo and sounds like a ordinary v6 with turbos . Look at Gordon murray and Aston Martin valkyre they did it right with light cars and high reving v12s that sound like older f1 cars but with reliable tech

There's a lot of owners cancelled orders for it apparently , saw it on another UA-cam video ,.this merc is a bit of a let after the wait, to heavy to underpowered compared to competition
